Chapter 11

Mumbai… 

Everyone went to the mall, because the next day Neelam and Kartik leaving. Radha wanted to shop for them both.

"Aarti yeh dress tumpe zyada achhi lagegi." Neelam asked Aarti to try a dress of her choice. She tried to deny it but Neelam forcefully pushed her toward the changing room. Aarti steps out and bumps into Yash, he is mesmerized by how pretty she is looking in a pink color suit.

"Neelam was right, this looks beautiful on you" He complimented her. Aarti looked down, blushing then she turned to leave but Yash stopped her way.

"Why are you avoiding me?" He asked.

"Um...hmm, did something happen between us" she doesn't know from where she got the guts to even ask this. Yash was not expecting her to ask something like this.

"Yes" He doesn't want to lie, why should he after all their relation is all about unconditional trust.

"That's why you're upset with me?" he looked at her, feeling hurt not because she is angry at his actions, in fact she is right at her place but he is hurt for losing her.

"No, I'm not upset with you, because we both were under the effect of bhang, maybe you also don't remember like me. That was just a mistake" she came near him.

"Shhh, don't call that a mistake" He kept his finger on her lips, not liking how she is calling that beautiful moment just a mistake where he confessed his love toward her. She looked at him surprised. Yash can read the question in her eyes so before she asks anything he thought of talking about yesterday.

"Did somebody give you any drink yesterday?" He asked. She recalled Jay's strange behavior and decided to tell Yash about it but Neelam called her so she left.

Later in the evening Dadi met Yash and asked if he confessed to Aarti.

"Dadi you did so wrong" He said.

"Why, did Aarti reject you?" She joked.

"Dadi please, right now I'm seriously not in the mood for jokes" Yash looked away. Dadi got that something serious took place.

"I confessed to her that I love her." He told.

"This is great, why are you not happy?" Dadi gets super happy.

"Because now she doesn't remember anything" He continue which confused Dadi

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"I doubt that somebody drugged her." He said.

"What? how do you know?" She was shocked.

"Because you gave me that bhang drink and I still can recall almost everything but Aarti told me she doesn't remember anything" He replied.

"Who can stop so low?" Dadi was worried thinking if someone wanted to take advantage of Aarti.

"There were so many guests at home, how are we going to find that one person?" Dadi said. Yash was wondering the same.

Next day Neelam and Kartik left for the airport. Yash and Jay come to drop them. At the dinner table Yash tells everyone that the next day is his flight to Italy. Radha gets sad that her both childrens leaving. Yash somehow consoled her telling that he will visit her soon. Yash spent his whole day with Radha and Dadi, Jay was out to some work. Next day Yash Aarti leaves for the airport. Radha and Dadi come to drop them. Radha got emotional and Yash hugged her tightly.

"Maa, if you wanna be sad like this then I wouldn't go" Yash rubs her back.

"No, you go but come soon" Radha parted from him, he smiled. Dadi also blessed him as he touched her feet.

"Come back with your Pari only after confessing your love to her but this time in the real sense" Dadi speaks in a low voice.

"Dadi" Yash looked down, shying.

"Take care" She smiled. He nods, picking bags as their flight is announced. Aarti smiled at Radha and Dadi as Yash walked ahead then she followed him.

They landed in Italy. Aarti dragged her bags to room and Yash also left with his bag to his room. In the evening Yash gets a call from Aman, they both talk for some time then Yash hangs up the phone. Aarti was working in the kitchen. Yash also helped her, then they had dinner together.

Next day Yash Aarti joined the office. Aarti's friends were happy to see her after a week. Yash gets busy with work. Manik spends his entire day with Aarti as he missed her a lot in those days. In the evening Aarti knocked on Yash's cabin door. She handed him a file of some designs.

"I love them all, you're improving" Yash said checking designs.

"Thank you" She felt happy. Yash got a call, Aarti stood there waiting for him to finish it. Yash raised eyebrows in question. She gestures to him to carry on with the call.

"Yes Aarti, you want to say something" He ended the call.

"Manik wants to take me out." She said. Mobile almost fell from Yash's hand. Aarti looked at him confused.

"My pari going with some other guy" Yash frowns thinking.

"Yash, you said something?" She asked. He nods no hurriedly.

"Ok bye" she smiled and turned to leave. Yash saw her walking toward the door. He does not understand how to stop her.

"Aarti wait" He called her as she held the door handle to open it. Aarti turned to face him. Yash picked the file which she kept a moment back.

"Actually I was saying that...um..hmm...I think there can be some improvements so can you do some changes" He fumbled but then found an excuse.

"Just now you said designs are good" she looked at him confused.

"I noticed just now." He tells flipping pages.

"Okay" She smiled weakly and took file from his hand, she turned to leave to her cabin but Yash stopped her again.

"You can sit here, I have some suggestions." He pointed at the sofa. She nods and sits there.

"Don't know what happened to me, I feel just keep looking at you" Yash thought lost in Aarti while she was working on the file. She glanced at her wrist watch. Yash doesn't like it. He went near her and started helping or say making her work a little extra so she wouldn't leave soon. Meanwhile Aarti was feeling sleepy, she leaned on Yash's shoulder and fell asleep.

"I'm sorry but I can't let you go with some other guy, I know I'm wrong but it just makes me uncomfortable that Manik is gonna spend time with you" Yash looked at her innocent sleeping form. He grabbed her closer in his arms possessively and lay on the sofa, soon fell asleep. Meanwhile Manik came searching for Aarti. She hugged Yash more subconsciously, feeling a strange gaze. Manik hated this sight, he left in anger.

In some time Aarti woke up and saw Yash there sleeping.

"Oh god" She looked at the wall clock and it was past 1, she recalled her promise to Manik of meeting him at 11.

"Yash" She shook him. He woke up and smiled at her as he found her face so close.

"Yash, I'm sorry don't know when did I slept" she looked embarrassed.

"It's okay, chalo ghar chalte hai" He said, glancing at his wrist watch getting up from the sofa.

Next day Manik was angry with Aarti. She could feel it but she was too busy at work to even talk with him. At lunch time Yash called her to the cabin. They had lunch together.

"Manik, I'm sorry for not coming yesterday" she starts speaking as she finds him in the cabin.

"Yes Aarti, go on, give some excuses or you can also lie" Manik was in rage she can feel it.

"In which manner you're talking with me, yes I accept that I couldn't come yesterday, I got late because..." she tried to clarify but Manik interrupted.

"Because what Aarti? Okay I tell you because you love spending time with Yash, because you were sleeping in his arms." He raised voice. Aarti's eyes widened in shock realizing that he came to the cabin and saw them like that.

"Listen you are getting it all wrong" she came near him.

"Yes speak Aarti, tell me that nothing is like this, my eyes betrayed me" he mocked.

"Please don't misunderstand me" she looked at him helplessly.

"Just leave" Manik looked away. She left sadly.

Five days passed, Manik stopped talking to Aarti. Yash noticed it and he is glad somewhere as he can't see Aarti with anyone. In the evening they were on their way back home from a client meeting.

"What happened?" Yash moved eyes from the road to look at Aarti who was looking out of the window with a not so happy face. She looked at him.

"Manik is angry with me" she said, making a small face. Yash feels she is sad as if her friend is upset with her, not her boyfriend.

"Did you fall in love with Manik?" Yash looked at her carefully, he knew if she said yes then he would end his life right here.

"I don't know" she turned to the window. Yash stopped car on the side of the highway. The road is silent with one or two cars passing from there. He held her arm and turned her around. She was startled at his act.

"Do you feel something when he pulls you near" he hold her side of neck only to pull her closer. Aarti blinked eyes. She didn't remember if she felt anything but right now she is feeling like a family of butterflies living inside her tummy.

"Ever feel like getting lost in his eyes" he stared into her black beautiful eyes. She was lost looking into his brown eyes.

"Did you ever kiss him?" he curled a hand around her waist and rested his forehead on her.

"No" She replied, which made him smile, their noses touched and their lips grazed. Aarti fist on his sleeve waiting for him to take her to his world where none can touch her.

Yash's mobile ring yanked both to the real world. Aarti was shocked and Yash also regretted caring away. Aarti closed her mouth in shame for having these feelings for him, her angel.

Yash ended the call and drove home silently. After dinner Aarti went to her room and slept.

Next day Aarti ignored Yash which upsets him but he is not understanding how to talk to her now.

In the evening Aarti steps into Yash cabin for some work related discussion but finds Yash nowhere. She turned to leave sadly as it seems he is also ignoring her. As Aarti held the door handle to open that time she heard some noise. She looked back in confusion only to find a small basket. As she opens it a tiny bunny jumps cutely. Aarti gets really happy to see it and she tries to hold it but he runs out of her hand and also out of Yash cabin.

"Hey wait" She ran behind him. It seems the tiny life is in his best mood. Aarti skip a stair in hurry but before she fell and hurt herself Yash saved her.

"Baby, are you alright?" He asked as she fell in his arms. Aarti has her eyes closed out of fear. Then it hit her that he is Yash because nobody else calls her baby other than him, not even Manik. And nowadays it sounds more loving, she can't pinpoint but something is special, she will lie if she says that she doesn't like it.

"Hmm" She looked at him, feeling really happy seeing him so close. He also smiled.

"Why were you running like this?" He asked. She pointed at the bunny. Yash glanced at that.

"Did you like it?" Yash picked her up. She curled hand around his neck and nodded cutely as he walked upstairs, signing his PA to bring the bunny. He bought it for her only as she was not talking with him from the morning so he thought of surprising her.

Stepping in the cabin Yash dropped Aarti on his chair then loosen his tie. To Aarti it seems as if he is returning from some meeting. She picked up the phone and ordered juice and food for him. Soon his pa came with bunny, Aarti happily took that from him. Yash sat on his chair closing eyes in tiredness. Soon the delivery boy came with the order. Aarti placed the bunny back in the basket. Then went to wash her hand. Soon Yash Aarti had the food together.
