Rajveer and Navin were sitting in the living room. Both wore serious expressions. None of them looked at each other. There was an odd stillness surrounding them. The silence was getting on Rajveer's nerves. He didn't know what Navin's reaction about his relationship with Naina actually was. He was also getting skeptical that this fact might strain their friendship... Something that was very precious to him. Finally Navin broke the silence.
"Kab se chal raha hai yeh sab?"
"Just 10 days."
"Aur sirf 10 days mein tum log ...."
"Navin listen...." Rajveer didn't let him finish. "We were about to tell you. Just that is waqt work pressure aur tension itni zyada thi ki...."
"Raj main tujhse explanation nahin maang raha hoon. Itna bharosa hai mujhe tum dono pe and don't forget mujhe aur Niti ko bahut pehle se pata tha that this realationship is bound to go this way one day. Lekin haan tujhse commitment ki umeed zaror rakhunga."
"You can count on me for that."
"I know. But yaar aaj.... For heaven's sake Raj.... Naina is my sister. Tujhe pata hai mere liye it's not easy to accept that she is getting involved... Physically... in this relationship." Navin was getting a bit hyper and a little embarrased.
"I know... But still you need to know. Warna tujhe bhi pata hai ki hum log chahte to aaraam se tujhse yeh baat chupa sakte the.Tujhe kabhi pata bhi nahin lagta."
"Even I can see you let the things remain as it is on purpose... but phir bhi... Ab itna bhi bada dil nahin hai mere ki itne saare jhatke ek baar mein seh jaaye."
Rajveer chuckled.
"Mujhe to laga tha ki humnein tujhe itne saalon mein jhatke sehne ki practice kara di hai."
"Shut up!"
Navin continued after a pause.
"Waise Niti ne bhi mujhe raaste mein exactly yehi dialogue maara tha. Lekin tum dono nahin samjhoge. You guys don't have a sister... aur Naina jaisi nutcase to bilkul bhi nahin."
"Tu kis baat ki tension le raha hai yaar... I'll always be there with her."
"You better! Otherwise I am gonna shoot you dead."
"Huh! Jaise Naina tujhe yeh golden opportunity dene waali hai... Agar aisi koi naubat aayi to woh yeh shubh kaam apne haathon se karegi... Anyways main chalta hoon... I'll see you." Rajveer got up to leave.
"Kahan?"
"Ghar aur kahan?"
"Abhi to bola tune you'll be be there with Naina. Ab kahan nikal raha hai."
"Navin?" Rajveer was amused at his reaction.
"Stay back with her. Woh abhi tak shock mein hai. She needs you."
"Haan... But... tu... Abhi... woh.... You said...."
"Haan maloom hai.... But jaise mere kuch kehne se tum dono apni marzi ki nahin karoge." He snapped and walked towards his room.
A smile came on Rajveer's face and he shook his head.
"Kahan main in dono Bhai-Behen ke beech mein phans gaya... Dono ek se ek hain."

Later that evening on dinner table, the tense mood had completely lightened. Naina was feeling much better especially after she came to know that Navin has accepted their relationship so easily.
"Waise Niti I was thinking about something." Navin said.
"What?"
"Yehi ki in dono ne hamare liye KITNA KUCH kiya hai na... Ab hamari baari hai."
"Humnein kya kiya?" Naina asked growing skeptical.
"Kyun tum dono ne kitni mehnat ki thi Maa- Baba aur Niti ke parents ko hamare liye patane mein."
"Navin... NO!! Tu aisa kuch nahin karega... You get that!" Rajveer yelled.
"Arrey c'mon Raj... Maa-Baba tujhe bhi bahut like karte hain and if Naina also likes you I don't see any reason why they should not agree for this alliance."
"Shut up Navin! Mera dialogue mujhe mat maar."
"Raj... Navin is right. Hum logon ko tumhare liye kuch to karna hi chahiye na aur hum karenge bhi. Next week to Maa- Baba waapas aa rahe hain. Ab main apni pyaaaaari si nanad ke liye itna to kar hi sakti hon na."
"Stop it Bhabhi!"
"Kyun... Hamari baari mein to kuch nahin socha tha. Ab khud ki baari aayi to hawa nikal gayi." Navin retorted.
"Bhalaayi ka to zamaana hi nahin raha." Naina said making an innocent face.
"Arrey...Bilkul zamaana to bhalayi ka hi hai bachcha... Bas is baar Bhalayi karne ki baari hamari hai."
"Bhaiyya...."
"Waise Navin ek bahut purani kahawat hai... Shubh kaam mein deri nahin karni chahiye... Shubhasya Sheeghram."
"You have got a point Niti." Navin gave them a big grin and dialed a number on his cell and kept it on loudspeaker. Naina and Rajveer were looking at each other, horrified while Navin & Neetika wore, for a change, mischievous smiles.
"Hello!" A voice came from other side.
Naina's heart sank.
"Baba... Main Navin Bol raha hoon."
"Navin... Beta wahan sab theek to hai na. Naina theek hai na?"
"Aap Naina ki fikr mat karo Baba... Woh to kuch zyada hi theek hai."
"Matlab?"
"Matlab..."
Navin looked up at two of them and winked. They both were petrified.
"NOOOOOOO." Naina said but her voice was somehow muted. She could not afford to be heard on the other side by her father.
Neetika was having a very difficult time controlling her laugh. She could not get a grip seeing their condition.
"Kuch nahin Baba... Hum log hai na uske saath. She's absolutely fine. Talk to her."
He handed her the phone and she talked to her father. In a few minutes once her father was convinced that she was actually fine she hung up.
"Phew!" Rajveer let out a sigh of relief.
"Kya Bhaiyya aap bhi."
"Itna relax hone ki zaroorat nahin hai tum dono ko. Abhi itni mushkil se Oont pahad ke neeche aaya hai... Aise kaise jaane dunga."
"What? Bhaiyya you can't do this."
"Sorry Bachcha... Lekin yeh sab to maine tujhse hi seekha hai na. Ab to thode bahut jhatke main bhi dunga tum dono ko... Tum dono bas dekhte jao.... Saara hisaab barabar karunga!"
"Bhabhi!" She cried expecting some help from her.
"Sorry... Ab yeh Bhaiyya-Bhabhi karne se kuch nahin hone waala. Haan Raj-Raj kar ke dekh lo... Kya pata woh tumhare liye kuch kar hi de. Kyun Raj?"
Everyone turned to him. He said after a small pause.
"What? Don't look at me like this. Main kuch nahin kar sakta. In dono ne hi thaan li hai... Shaadi se pehle HAMARA divorce karane ki."
Navin and Neetika laughed aloud while Naina glared at him.
"To kuch karo na." She shouted.
"Yeh achcha hai... Tum dono hai-behen apni apni gundagardi mujhpe chalao ab... Okay fine... You want me to do something.... To kar deta hoon. Phir mat bolna yeh kya kiya?"
"Kya karne waale ho tum?"
Rajveer took out his mobile and dialed a number.
"Hello Dad!"
"Aap urgently Delhi aa sakte hain?"
"Haan sab theek hi hai... Almost..."
"Almost matlab... main shaheed hone waala hoon."
"Aapki hone waali bahu ke haathon se! Aur usse bach gaya to uska Bhai mujhe jeene nahin dega shanti se."
"Haan Dad... Aapki hone waali bahu ko maine pata liya hai...uske ghar waalon ko aap manao."
"You take the first flight out... Please!"
"Thanks Dad... Love you for that!"
"Arrey haan... Sorry! It's Naina, Dad!"
"Yes Dad... wahi Naina. You come soon Dad."
"See ya! Bye!"
He hung up and turned to Naina.
"Happy now! There will be atleast one less problem now."
But to his and the others' surprise, she was blushing after she heard his conversation.
"Kya baat hai... Raj tune isko sharmana bhi sikha diya!" Navin teased her.
"Bhaiyya you are just too much."
