EPISODE – 37

 

Something struck hard over his face that made him wake up.

"Tum?" He exclaimed.

But in answer another blow hit hard on his face.

"Stop it!" He shrieked.

"No way! You are dead!"

 

He tried to cover his face with his hands to avoid the next blow but it came on his head instead this time.

"What's wrong with you?"

"What's wrong with me... what's wrong with you? Khud maar khaane waali harkatein karte ho aur phir mujhse poochte ho what's with me."

 

As she raised her hand again to hit him one more time he held her wrists tightly with his hand snatching the pillow from her with which she was hitting him. He gave her a sudden jerk which made her loose her balance and she fell over him and he held her by her waist and turned quickly pulling her on the bed under him. He lied over her putting all his weight over her delicate body.

 

"Ab bolo kya kiya maine."

"Chodo mujhe."

"Bilkul nahin... Pehle batao."

"As if you don't know... Ho kahan tum ek week se? Khud call karte nahin ho main karti hoon to bolte ho I am busy main thodi der baad call back karta hoon but ek baar bhi call back nahin kiya hai tumnein. Aur ab kitne aaram se yahan so rahe ho."

He smiled.

 

"Naina... Maine kaha tha na I am busy. Bahut zyada kaam hai. Navin aur Neetika bhi to occupied haina."

"Listen mujhe tumhare excuses nahin chahiye."

"Okay to tell me kya chahiye?"

"Let me go."

"Jaana hi tha to aayi kyun?"

"Tumhara murder karne."

"To ab kya bina murder kiye laut jaogi?"

 

She didn't answer him.

"Naina... I am sorry. But yahan pe to marne ki bhi fursat nahin hai, call kahan se kaunga. Main bas abhi 15 minute pehle ghar aaya tha. Change kiya and crashed."

"Shut up Raj!"

 

He smiled and tried to kiss on her lips but as his lips touched hers' she turned away her face.

"Sorry kaha na maine... Okay you tell me.... Kya karoon ki tumhara gussa shaant ho jaaye."

"Jo bolungi karoge."

"Anything for you!"

"To batao mujhe what's keeping you all busy these days. Chal kya raha hai? Kabhi achanak se tum gayab ho jaate ho, kabhi you are hurt, kabhi mere liye poore din mein tumahre paas 5 minute nahin hota to kabhi tum mujhse jhooth bolne ki koshish karte ho."

"Aisi koi baat nahin hai Naina. I don't want to lie... it's just that tumhaare liye yeh sab jaana zaroori nahin hai."

"Zaroori hai Raj... It's about you, Bhaiyya and bhabhi. And you'll have to tell me today."

"It's not just about me, Navin and Niti.... The stakes here are much higher."

"Matlab?" She was skeptical after hearing his words.

 

"Alright if you have to know this, I'll tell you but on two conditions."

"What conditions?"

"First you wont speak out even a single word of all this to anyone. Not even Navin. Usko bhi pata nahin chalna chahiye ki I have told you."

"Done... Doosri condition?"

"You are staying back tonight."

"Waise bhi main nahin jaane waali thi. Maine bhiayya se keh diya hai ki I am staying over at a friend's place."

"To tum jhooth bhi bolne lagi Navin se. He'll kill me if he finds this out."

"Woh tumhari problem hai... Aur maine koi jhooth nahin bola hai. Bas poora sach nahin bola hai. Ab tum mujhe batao... sab kuch!"

 

"Okay! Hamare paas intelligence report hai ki Delhi is being targetted by a terrorist group aur yahan pe kuch bahut badi terrorist activity plan ki jaa rahi hai. Isliye Delhi ki security badha di gayi hai and it's just to avoid the panic situation that we haven't let this news leak out."

"But iske liye tum achanak Delhi se bahar kyun chale gaye the."

"Last month tumne suna hoga news mein ki a terrorist was arrested.... Infact he was the leader of the terrorist group I was just talking about... Aur ab usko chudane ke liye hi yeh sab kuch plan kiya jaa raha hai. Humein jo information mili thi intelligence se, uske accordingly an official of Army from the Head Quarters was helping them. Isliye humnein usko use kiya. We made a plan to shift that terrorist to another safe army prison aur us leak ke through spread out the wrong information within the members of that terrorist group. We told him about another prison jiske raaste mein mujhe ruk ke un logon ko mislead karna tha while Navin took the terrorist to the decided position. Neetika yahan ruk ke us leak ko follow kar rahi thi aur saath hi uske against proofs collect kar rahi thi with the help from Maya. Later on we arrested him. Isliye Head Quarters ki security ko bhi tight kar diya gaya hai and we have the information that within one week something massively destructive would take place in Delhi. Aur isiliye tum ab itni raat ko akele ghoomna band karo."

"But tumne mujhe pehle kyun nahin bataya."

"Out of the four officers working on this case you are the biggest weakness of three of them. That's why we all are trying to keep you out of all this. Anything else?"

"Kya hone waala hai Delhi mein."

"Yeh hum abhi tak pata nahin laga paaye hain. But it will be something terrible... Kuch bhi ho sakta hai... Mass destruction, some sort of hijacking, abduction of some highly influential person, another attack on parliament... Just anything!"

 

Naina kept quiet... the thought of something huge and destructive was scary. Now she knew how could Rajveer prioritize something over and above her.

 

"Kya hua?" He asked her.

"Kuch nahin."

"You don't think much about it. Hum log hai na. And we are not discussing it anymore."

 

She simply nodded. But she was visibly deterred. He kissed on her forehead. Now only she realized that he was still lying over her. She put her arms around his neck trying to distant herself from the thoughts that was bothering her so much.

 

He stroked her cheeks with his finger and planted a peck on her lips. She tried to get up which Rajveer mistook to be her unwillingness to come close tonight. He moved aside and lied down next to her. She took off her jacket and lied down resting her head over his chest and holding him tightly. A few minutes later she got up and kissed him on his cheeks. Rajveer pulled her closer as she lowered her face on his' and planted repeated pecks on his lips until he held her face firmly in his hand and made her lips stick to his mouth for a deep kiss. She ran her fingers into his hair pulling them in between. She was soon free of all her worries about the coming events which had the potential to change the course of their lives. All she cared about was this moment now because Rajveer evidently was occupied for a few more days to come.

 

She was enjoying the tenderness of the kiss and unspoken love of Rajveer was overwhelming her. His hands were caressing her neck. The feeling of his closeness was the most heartwarming feeling she has ever known in all her life. A rather strange kind of passion possessed them that took them away from every bitter reality of the situation into a fairyland, where no one after two of them existed. But even that could never satisfy their need for each other and their love as their tounges fought inside their mouth mounting the passion.

 

As they parted from the kiss she showered his face with innumerable kisses. She moved downwards kissing him impatiently on his neck to his chest. She suddenly stopped when she realized has her tube top was slipping downwards. It was revealing a little more than mere cleavage in the view. She didn't know if she should let it be or not but before she could think and do something she felt his fingers on his back pulling her top back in its place. She looked at him questioningly to which he smiled.

"I think we should leave some lines to be crossed later."

She smiled back at him and clung to his body. Rajveer held her in a tight hug and soon both of them dozed off comfortably in each other's arms.
