Chapter 12

 

EPISODE – 24

 

"Thank god tumhein leave mil gayi... Akele in dono ko dukhi karne mein maza nahin aata!"

"Tumse kisne kaha main leave le ke aayi hoon?"

"To phir?"

"Lad ke aayi hoon Mr. Sharma se."

"Senior or junior?"

"Senior of course!"

"Ah!! Your re-shuffling issue... Kya hua uska?"

"Hona kya hai... We both are stuck up on our own ideas."

"Then?"

"Then what? Alekh supported me but beyond a point he suggested me that I should not get into any troubles with management and I should give in, in case things go too far."

"But you are way too stubborn for that!"

"Well... that's me! Waise I said I need some time to think it over and meanwhile you find out how much you can manage my slot without me."

"An open challenge!"

"Of Course! I am doing this show for over 5 years now."

"You think they will give in?"

"Donno!"

"You think, YOU will give in?"

 

For the first time amidst all the conversation Naina turned her face to look at him. They were both lying on a double bed with their heads in almost centre of the bed just next to each other and bodies in opposite direction. They had just now reached Mussourie and had entered the outhouse to keep away from Navin and Neetika's eyes.

 

She gazed at him continuously until Raj spoke.

"Jahan tak I know you, I don't think you will give in but Alekh ne tumse kaha hai so I just wanna know ki madam apne boyfriend ke liye kitne adjustment kar sakti hain." His smirk assured her of his jolly mood.

"Whatever! Main yahan tension lene nahin Bhaiyya aur Bhabhi ko thodi si tension dene aayi hoon. So chuck this topic. When do we start with our plans?"

"Tomorrow morning... The moment they step out of this place. Usse pehle bunglow mein enter karna wont be safe."

"Great!! Ab yeh subah kab hogi!!" Her eyes were lit with mischief and voice was soaring with excitement."

Next morning as Navin and Neetika went out, Naina and Rajveer took their chance to sneak inside the bunglow. The guard has already been instructed by them not to tell Navin and Neetika about their presence and some other details so as to involve him in their plan. Once inside the bunglow it wasn't a problem to find out which places were frequently used by two of them. It was just one of the bedrooms upstairs, hall, dining space and kitchen. Maid was instructed to come just once in the morning to finish the cleaning task. Rajveer got a bag with him that had all the necessary items they will need in a few days to come and hid it in the last room upstairs.

 

Arrangements were made for day-1 plan-1. Around noon, Naina, who was keeping an eye on the main gate of the bunglow waiting for them to return, signaled Rajveer that they have come back. She saw them strolling on their way through the lawn towards the gate of the bunglow that led them to the hall.

 

Suddenly she saw both of them stop. The main door to the hall had opened on its own, with a jerk, in front of them while Navin remembered that he had himself locked it. They were a bit taken aback at this sudden weird incident. They came inside the hall to see if there was anyone around but to their surprise there was no one. Navin went back to the guard to ask him if someone had come in their absence and he refused to that straight away.Meanwhile Naina and Rajveer were enjoying their baffled expressions that they could see from the balcony of another room two doors on the left of Navin's.

 

They couldn't have even thought in wildest of their dreams that it could be Rajveer. He had slid one end of a long rope through the handle of the already unbolted door and went upstairs holding both the ends firmly. When he got the signal from Naina who was peeping from the window of Navin's room, he pulled the rope back with a jerk and the door opened. He let one end of the rope go out of his hand and pulled the rope back from the handle pulling it from the other end. It took him hardly few seconds to pull up the entire rope and rush back to the room which was now their hide-out all the time they were supposed to be inside the bunglow.

 

Navin and Neetika returned to their room, a bit irritated, in absence of a proper explanation of whatever had just happened.

 

"I wish Navin believed in ghosts." Rajveer said.

"Tab to hamara kaam aur aasan ho jaata but do you think we would ever be able to convince him that this place is haunted?"

"Out of question! But come to think of it, if he believed in ghosts then that would have given him a convincing enough explanations for ongoings that will happen hereon. But now he'll just keep pondering. Aur humein use darana nahin pareshan karna hai."

"Aur agar pakde gaye to?"

Rajveer looked at her with a smirk and in a hoarse, modulated voice said,

"Bol tere saath kya salook kiya jaaye... Maar diya jaaye ya chod diya jaye!"

She giggled.

"Of course, MAAR DIYA JAAYE. We'll be DEAD!"

They both laughed and Naina gave him a five five!
