Aaliya remained silent; she did not want to interrupt.

 

" When we were going back home from Arihant, I was told to

 do something ordinary, yet something that has changed

 my life immensely."

 

" My so called parents," he said with a laugh, but that laugh had

sadness, not hatred, " Wanted to me go and continue my studies,

which I found a little stupid. I had education enough to start working

but my parents insisted that I studied a little more to make

sure I get a good job."

 

" I was sent off the very next day. The place where I was to

gain knowledge in was the worst place in the world. To study

there you had to get involved in a job."

 

There was a pause.

 

Aaliya decided to break it.

 

" What job Aamir?"

 

" Those people would help in the trade of private

matters from within the country. If that was not

enough they used to sell materials to manufacturing

deadly weapons."

 

Aamir had his eyes filled now.

 

" I could not do it." He continued. " I just couldn't. I am not

 a person who would indulge in all those matters. Its not that

I am scared, like my colleagues said, but it's the fact that I don't

 want to be unfaithful to anyone."

 

" I understand your feeling Aamir."

 

" I tried speaking to my parents, but I don't think they understood

what I wanted to tell them. And I did not want to get involved at all

in such things, thus I decided to run away. It was not easy for me,

 leaving behind my sisters, knowing somewhere in my heart that they

will be forced just like I was, but I had to do it. And I did, telling myself

 that I may be able to get my sisters away too."

 

Aaliya was silent.
