Chapter 6

PART 5

 

Aaliya had loads of thoughts running in her mind. " My parents and I are not that close to each other" she thought, " but they should have informed me that someone else will be spending the night with me in my room."

 

She was really very unhappy about her mother, but Aaliya had no other choice but to accept it and move ahead. " There is nothing I can do," she told herself, " God has wished that I live with these people and this is exactly what I will do."

 

" If I find a friend to whom I can share my thoughts, I pray to God, to never separate us, and my family by some miracle develop love for each other, I will always abide by their words and never go against their wishes." Aaliya promised herself.

 

Aaliya sat near the edge of the bed, her head resting on the wall as all these thoughts ran through her mind.

 

Aaliya is suddenly woken up by the room's door being opened. She was shocked to see that it was 7:30 in the morning; she had no idea when she drifted into sleep.

 

Her attention turned towards the door, she saw Aamir about to step out of the room.

 

"Looks like you were too tired to stay awake. Its ok though, get ready and come down quickly, breakfast is at 9. I'll wait for you" he said and left the room.

 

Aaliya then noticed the bed; it was neat and tidy without any wrinkles, "Did Aamir's sisters sleep here last night or did they not sleep here as they felt awkward because of me?  Or was Aamir lying to me?" All these questions ran through her head. " I better not break my head with them and ask Aamir, this will be a better option." She said to herself.

 

Aaliya then quickly got out of bed and started to get ready for breakfast, the thought of meeting Aamir was enchanting for her but at the same time she could not forget the look in his eyes.

 

 

           She left it to destiny to either prove her right or wrong about what she had seen in Aamir's eyes, but she left it to God to prove her wrong, as this is what her heart prayed for.
