Part 13- Lets play
Meem went home that day and was in deep thought. Was she ans Shazad in a relationship now? Was Shazad her boyfriend? She had never had a boyfriend before, the thought excited her and scared her. She kissed him, this was her first kiss ever.
She thought about all the possibilities, and the results. Everything…Well, she could finally have a boyfriend or she lose both a boyfriend and a friend. What if her parents find out. Either she could keep their trust and not be with Shazad, or she could be with Shazad and not have them find out.
Well it was obvious that the right choice was the first one. Then again, being right was so overrated.
At Angad's house, Das came for dinner.
U- Now Angad, I know you didn't want to be here, and I know you think this is a waste of time, but…
A- Bua
U- But! I didn't ground you after you left upstate without telling me, so you owe me!
A- Ok fine.
U- Thank you
A- Bua?

Mr. Das came around 7.

Das came and sat down woth Urashi. Angad came from downstairs.

Angad sat down opposite Urvashi and Das.

D ( thinking) The days I actually see him in class that is.

A ( thinking) Whens he's actually teaching and not talking about how much he misses his ex-wife.
U-Well…lets eat appetizers

D- Lets go
Das and Angad had totally different tastes. Das was very English. He like his food to be very proper and heathly. Angad on the other has, he only thing he ever ate was junk food. Mc Donalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, anything of that sort.
So for appetizers, Urashi had fries and Italina Bread Rolls. Das and Angad both stared at each other.
U- Angad, you know you shouldn't be eating all that, its really bad for your …
A- So?
D- Eat up now son, when you get to your 30's, you have to say bye bye to fries.
A (laughing and murmuring)- Im not gonna live until in 30 anyway

Angad looked at Das with anger, and Das looked at Angad with strange coolness. He kinda smiled for a minute, it was more of a smirk really. They finished up dinner and Das was leaving.

D- Oh Angad, Good Luck studying for Mid-Terms and Vedika

The next day in school. All the teachers were talking about the mid-terms and explaining the importance of it. As if the didn't already know. Meem was walking in the hall when Shazad saw her. He went up to her ear while walking and whispered

They all went inside their History class.
D- So kids, if you have been sleeping in every class then you might not know that mid-terms are coming up..

D- Yes, we should all celebtrate. Anyway, these exams arent all that important, they just dicided whether ur going to be the person talking the orders or giving the orders. That's all.
S- Thanks for the extra helping of pressure.

In Ms. Nisa's class
N- These exams are not to be taken lightly! If you don't do good on this, chances are you wont do to great of the final in June weither. Now…Juniors in this class, you should all understand that you all aare taking the mid-terms along with the SAT's. So, you have to all work extra hard. Seniors are just taking the SAT's. And Freshman and Sophmores are only talking the Mid-terms.
K-Hey, isn't it unfair that we have to take two?
A- Yeah, and I mean…who cares about the Mid-terms, it's the SAT's that matter for college.
N- Wrong Mr. Khanna. You can get a 2400/2400 on the SAT's but if Bayside High decides to fail you, you fail!
A- Oh
N- I hope I answered both your questions.
K- Yes ma'am.
Angad and Kripa looked at each other and rolled their eyes.
In Mrs. Alice's English class, the student were taking a practice Mid-term
Al- now rememer, this test is just to see how prepared you are for the real one.
M- I know how prepared I am, can I stop now
Al- I know your prepared to Meem, you're my best student, but still you have to take it.
V- Hey, I know Im not prepared so can I not take it?
Al- No Miss. Vedika.
At lunch they were all sitiing and the table with their hands on their cheeks.
S- I hate mid-terms
M- Im worried about the SAT
K- I wish I was in kindergarden
R- Yeah…there was a really cute chick in my KG class
V- I wish I had a thingy that could like give me all the answers to the test
A- Yeah, like…
M- A cheating device
S- yeah, that you could plant in your brain
K- And you'd just have to read the question, a poof the answers there
R- When I get rich, I'll invent that.
They all looked at each other and laughed.
They next few days were all study. Their parents were pressuring them, they were pressuring themselves. No mater how much they fooled around, but when it came to testing time, everyone got serious.
Then, it was the day before the first test. They just couldn't take it anymore. You know how sometimes your brain just stops working. Like right before a test, you just cant take it anymore. Its kinda like during Iftar. You know, when you break your fast. All day you don't eat, then all of a sudden you stuff yourself with so much food, that you cant ake it anymore. That happenes with your brain too. All year to don't study, then all of a sudden you stuff with with dates, formulas, vocabulary, names, events, and a whole lot of crap. Your brain cant take it anymore. Only difference is that eating to much gives you a tummy ache, and studying to much makes you do something really stupid.
Around 4, they all went to the park. Just to cool off their brain, kinda like when you go potty after eating a lot. They all met up in the park.
S- What are you guy doing here?
R- Just walking
K- I needed to left my brain rest
R- So I…

K- Hows studying Angad?
A- Bad, you?

V- Ok, so the rules are every third person a person "it" tags, will be "it".
R- Ok, what about the first and second person
V- They will just get freezed.
A- Freeze Tag?
V- Kinda, and for the first and second person taged to get unfreezed they have to answer a question from Meem's flashcards. You get the answer right your back in the game, You get it wrong, you stay frozen.
K- Wait so what happens if you get it wrong? You stay frozen the whole game?
V- Umm
A- No, you get another chance, when a new person is it.
S- COOL!
M- Ok im in.
R- Damn, I should have studied more
A- Ok so who's it?
K- I got an idea
V- What?
K- Ok, give me 6 flashcards. We each try to answer the question on it, who ever gets their wrong is it.
S- Great!!!!
So they all took a card, and stood in a circle. They realized that the questions were hard.
S- Meem what kind of questions are these?
M- I like to challenge myself, it gets me prepared for the exam
R- Great!
Shazad was "IT". Everyone was running around the park. Now this wasn't apark as in a basketball court. They were playing in the play gound. With swings, and minkey bars, and slides. Everyone was either going down the slide, up the slide throwing the swing at the person IT. It was pretty funny to watch. 17 and 18 year olds, playing like this.
Shazad tagged Kripa.
S- HAHAHA!!!!
K- Damn, ok card.
Kripa took the card and read it out loud
K- "Keep your friends close and enemies closer" By who?
V- (laughing) I know, I know!!!!!

They ran around some more. Raj was it now. He was trying to get Shazad.

Shazad saw the monkey bars, you know how normal people hang on the the bars to get across? Well, Shazad didn't do that, he went on top of the monkey bars and stood on it.
S- This is how you climb a monkey bar!!

Kripa had gone to get a drink of water. She didn't know Raj was it. Raj saw Kripa

Angad climbed up the slide, and then slid down another. Whjile going down the slide he said
A- IT'S A ROLLERCOSTER!!!!
K- Damn
Kripa got Vedika.

V- How many different 6 letter arrangements can you make with the letter ABSENT, if you use each letter only once?
R- Huh?
V- I cant do permutaions with no calcuculator
K- Meem?
M- Sorry I forgot about the math questions
V- Ok seriously
S- Ok, so if anyone geta a math question and you cant solve it, you just wait until the next turn
A- Yeah, good idea.
V- I hate this! Hurry up and tag someone Kripa!
Kripa was once again running after Kripa. They were running really fast. Anagd turned around to stick his toungue out and Kripa.
K- Watch out!
V- Anagd stop!!
Angad ran right into Vedika, and they both fell on the floor
V- Ouch!
A- Sorry, you ok?
V- Yeah
They stared at eachoher, Anagd was literally on top if Vedika. He slid his hand down her side, which gave Vedika the chills.
R- See why don't these romantic moments ever happen to us Kripa?
K- Because you go in my ear and scream Im IT
S- Guys, can we continue the game
Angad and Vedika got up and moved away.
M- Actually, its been a while, I have to go home
V- Me too.
R- Ok then, see you all tomorrow
A- Ok bye
K- Good luck studying
Everyone was walking home, Angad was driving so he offered to give Vedika a lift. In the car, they stayed quiet. They pulld up at Vedika's house.
V- bye
Vedika opened the door and was about to get out when Angad pulled her arm and pulled her back in. Vedika was extremely close the Angad. Angad looked at her and smiled
A- Bye
Vedika laughed and ran home. Angad drove home. In the car the laughed, but it was kind of a fake laughed.
A- No time for love
