Part 28:

Angad reached home and was surprised to see the living room empty.  He finally spotted teddy in the corner of the room, taking down the flower garlands.

Angad: teddy?....yahan par itna sannatta kyun hai?  sab log kahan gaye?

Teddy: woh actually sir...dadi apne kamre mein so rahi hai..aur baaki sab aapke room mein hai...Kripa ma'm behosh ho gayi thi

Angad: WHAT??!!??

Angad quickly ran up the stairs and barged into his room.  Not even noticing Naina sitting at the edge of the bed, he ran to Kripa and cupped her face.

Angad: are you ok?..what happened?..teddy told me that you fainted??...sab theek hai?

Naina(angry tone, to tease him): tum to aise keh rahe ho jaise tumhe kuch pata hi nahi...

Angad: mom...aap itni serious kyun hai?...mujhse koi galati ho gayi kya?

Naina: aur nahi to kya...ye jo kuch bhi hua hai...tumhari vajah se hi hua hai....mein jaanti hoon.....Kripa bahut bholi hai....sab kuch tumne hi kiya hai..

Angad: mom...quit scaring me...whats wrong?

Naina got up and walked up to him.  She twisted his ear.

Naina: Angad...tum papa banne waale ho.....Kripa is two months pregnant......

Angad looked at Kripa in a complete shock but Kripa was looking down at her hands, unable to meet his eyes.  For some reason, she felt guilty.

Angad(smiled, fumbling for words in a sea of happiness): really?.....oh my god.....i have no words!!  I dont know what to say........Oh My God! wait....is this a joke?

Naina: Joke?  Aisa mazak koi karta hai kya?  Yakeen nahi ho to pucho Kripa se......Kripa batao iss pagle ko...

Kripa looked at Angad's questioning eyes and just nodded gently.  Angad couldn't think straight so he simply jumped into the bed right beside her, planted a big kiss on her cheek and gave her a tight hug.  Kripa thought that he was "acting" happy because Naina was there.

Angad: thank you soooooo much....i am going to be a daddy!!!....OH MY GOD!!

Naina: yes.....oh my god.......acha...tum dono baatein karo...mein kabab mein haddi nahi banungi....

Naina left the room leaving the door open.  Angad got up to close it.  When he turned around, He saw Kripa making her way to the washroom.  She closed the door behind and locked it.  After that, all angad heard was the jingling noise of her jewlery followed by the sound of water flow.  he was happy after he received the news of him becoming a father.  he wondered if Kripa was quiet because She didn't want this so soon.  he decided to talk to her once she came out of the washroom.  Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Angad: Come in...

Dilip: Angad...

Angad: dad..aap?....aapko knock karne ki kya jarurat thi..

Dilip: ab tum iss room mein akele thodi ho?  Tumhari biwi bhi issi kamre mein rehti hai bhai......kher...dadi tumhe bula rahi hai...tumse baat karna chahti hai..

Angad: jee...chaliye...

Dilip and Angad left the room.  After a few minutes, Kripa walked out of the washroom.  she brushed her hair, set all her jewlery in its place and walked out into the balcony.  She looked down at her stomach and placed her hand over it.  She looked up at the sky thinking about something seriously.  She was so lost in her thoughts, that she didn't even hear Angad walk right up to her.  He gently tapped her on her shoulder.  Kripa didn't need to turn to see who it was, she bent her head down and started walking away but Angad got a grip of her arm.  He turned her to him and made her look at him holding her chin.

Angad: Kripa...kya hua?

Kripa: Angad...

Angad: hm..

Kripa: Kya tum is bacche se khush ho?  Agar nahi to mein abortion...

Angad: how did you even think like that kripa?  Ye baccha mera utna hi hai jitna ke tumhara...this is OUR baby Kripa...we both know what the circumstances were lekin uski saja hum hamare bacche ko to nahi de sakte na?  Jo kuch bhi hua, woh to hamari kismat mein likha tha....Kripa jo kuch bhi hota hai acche ke liye hota hai...mujhe yeh responsibility mili hai to mein usse khushi khushi apnaunga....mujhe bas tumhara saath and bharosa chahiye...bolo....dogi?

Kripa just nodded as she dropped a few tears.  Angad pulled her closer and embraced her.

Angad: Don't worry Kripa...i am really happy...thank you for giving me such happiness..this is a great feeling..i will always be grateful to you for giving me the most wonderful gift of my life....I promise you...i will be the best father to our baby...

Kripa looked up at him and smiled through her tears.  Angad kissed her forhead.

Angad: actually Kripa...at this point...I should be apolgizing to you....I promised you that that night will never come back in our life but...

Kripa: Angad...you are happy right?

Angad: never been happier before...

Kripa: then why are you thinking negatively?  After all, We're getting this happiness because of that one night...and after finding out about the pregnancy...i have no regrets over that night....

Angad: you are right...i guess i always look at the negative side of things....gotta change that..

Kripa: you dont have to change anything.....you are perfect the way you are...dont ever change Angad...

Angad: yes M'am!..Ab chale?  you need some rest....dadi ne abhi abhi mujhe lamba lecture diya hai.....you will have me around 24/7...you like it or not...thats how it's going to be....well....except for the part when I am in classes...but other than that....i'll be with you...

Kripa: speaking of classes.....i am not resuming my studies anytime soon..

Angad: WHAT?...why not?

Kripa: Angad...it will be a lot of stress...and I want to take good care of the baby.....i dont think attending classes right now is a good idea...

Angad was upset that he wouldn't get to spend much time with Kripa like he had thought he would once she joined him in their classes but she did have a point.  She needed the most rest, care, and love right now so he agreed to let her stay home. After a few minutes of more chatting both went to sleep in no time as they were tired from the hectic week.

In the morning, it was a normal morning in Khanna house.  Everyone was having breakfast while chit chatting.  The only thing that was different was that is was quieter than usual as the chatterbox of the family, Aliyah, was not there.  After breakfast, everyone was waiting for aliyah as her "pag phere" rasm was today.

Naina: Angad...Kripa...tum dono ke paas paanch ghante hai......jitni ho sake..utni packing kar lo...

Kripa: packing?  Kyun?

Naina: Tumhari aur Angad ki shaadi ko 6 mahine ho gaye hai...lekin ab tak ek ke baad ek kuch na kuch kaam nikalta aya....Meine aur Dilip ne tum dono ke liye sab arrangements kar liye hai...

Angad: Arrangements??  kaise arrangements?

Naina: Obviously tum dono ke honeymoon ke arrangements.  Tumhari switzerland ki tickets bhi book ho gayi hai...aur ek mahine ke liye tumhari hotel ki booking bhi ho gayi hai......tumhari flight saath ghante mein hai.

Angad: mom...switzerland?....thats a long journey....Kripa is halat mein itna travel kaise kar sakti hai..

Naina: Angad...abhi to Kripa ko sirf do mahine hue hai...aur normally, paanch mahine tak travelling theek hai...isi liye to hum sab tum dono ko aaj bhej rahe hai...aur mein ye bhi jaanti hoon ke tum dono na kahoge...lekin mujhe kuch bhi nahi sunna.....tum dono jaa rahe ho and thats final.

Angad: ok mom....we will go...are you alright with it Kripa?

Kripa: definitely...

Naina: good....abhi jaao....packing kar lo....jyada waqt nahi hai..

Angad and Kripa went to start their packing.  Aliyah had reached home and she had dropped by Angad-Kripa's bedroom for a little chat.  Everyone dropped Angad-Kripa at the airport along with Aliyah-Josh who were leaving for their honeymoon as well but to malaysia.

Angad and Kripa had a wonderful time in switzerland.  There was plenty to do in that country.  Both had gotten much closer and much more open with each other.  They were comfortable with each other but now it was clear to both of them that they were in love.  Neither decided to say anything for some reason.  They would go everywhere hand in hand, they would cuddle each other whenever they could.  They would look for more opportunities when they could hug, cuddle, or even give gentle pecks to each other.  They were so close by now that they would even go to sleep hugging each other protectively and possessively.  Everything had become a habit.  A month passed by in no time.  Neither needed to put their feelings in words.  Their eyes and heartbeats did all the talking.

When they came back to India, they were warmly welcomed by the family.  When Kripa questioned about Aliyah, Naina told them that they extended their honeymoon for another month.  Angad and Kripa fell sleep as they were used to the different time zone plus they had a jet lag.  They woke up during midnight, when everyone else was asleep.  They sat there, completely bored because they could not do much.  they didnt want to disturb anyone in the house.  Kripa was lost in deep thoughts while Angad was lost in her beautiful, innocent face.

Angad: Kya soch rahi ho?

Kripa: kuch nahi......bas...yun hi...

Angad: are....ye kya baat hui?  Batao na....

Kripa: mein yeh soch rahi thi......ki hamara baccha bilkul tum jaisa dikhna chahiye..

Angad: Kyun...tumhare jaise kyun nahi?

Kripa shurg her shoulders.  They got into a cute argument over whom their child should look like.  They kept getting engaged in one or anohter conversation about their unborn baby.  They didn't realize when the night passed by in their cute talks.  Naina knocked on the door around 7:30 in the morning.  Angad went and opened the door.

Naina: good morning beta

Angad: morning mom....andar ayiye na...

Naina: nahi...mujhe kuch kaam hai..mein to sirf ye batane ke liye ayi thi ki Kripa ki aaj appointment hai...uska routine check up hai...appointment 8:30 ki hai...aur abhi 7:30 ho chuke hai...jaldi se ready ho jao..

Kripa who was standing behind Angad nodded at naina.
