Chapter 28

Part 28

Recap-Kanya is shot and taken to hospital. Ranbir is also shot and there is a struggle between Sameer and he over the knives both have deep cuts and suffer heavy blood loss. FBI agents Ivan and Nova come in the last minute to save Ranbir and open fire on Sameer. Ranbir is taken to the hospital.

Both Kanya and Ranbir get treatment for their injuries. Lucky for Ranbir his cuts weren't as deep as was first thought but had suffered severe blood loss. He had to have 3 bullets taken out one from his arm and the other 2 from his shoulders. He had one deep cut to his stomach but it wasn't deadly. He had a blood transfusion thanks to his family member donating him blood as he had a rare blood type. Now all everyone was waiting for was for him to wake up.

Kanya on the other hand had 2 bullets taken out from her lung/ stomach which were quite tricky as it almost hit an artery. She suffered a lot of blood loss and was in ICU. Despite the bullets being taken out Kanya for some reason wasn't waking up.

All the family members were present to offer support. Anand and Pammi couldn't understand how a normal guy ended up being a killer. Every person prayed for their well being. Pammi and Malika lit a Virgil beside Ranbir and Kanya. Both Kanya and Ranbir's friends came to visit them in turns. There were many tears shed but their families were united to see the other through.

Sameer was dead and the case was a shut case.

2 days later

Ranbir  wakes in pain but is on the mend. Everyone rejoice seeing him up and about cracking his lame jokes but had a difficult time telling him Kanya was still the same. Ranbir wasn't allowed to move but until he saw Kanya he wouldn't sit still and attempted to tear off the IV lines and crawl out of bed if need be. He had to make sure she was safe. Otherwise what was the point of him being here. He couldn't take all these silent answers she's ok. How Ok was she? Why wasn't she here to see him? All he knew was she was in hospital. Malika promised to take him to see her the next day.

1 day later

Ranbir went to see her he was healing pretty quick but still in agony as he ached everywhere. Kanya looked like a princess sleeping like that but he wanted her awake. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. Pammi and Anand were in floods of tears. But Ranbir wouldn't shed any tears. Kanya had to make it for him. He couldn't function without her. Function he didn't want to live without her. She was his life. She couldn't stay like this forever. He spent a few hours afraid to touch her in fear of hurting her. She looked too frail but Pammi made sure he held Kanya's hand.

He sat there in silence just listening to Kanya's breathing and just gazing into her face. He'd stroke her face and then just leave. All night Ranbir kept on thinking about Kanya. He was too freaked out to losing her.

Another day goes by

Ranbir was visited by his friends and they all suggested that Ranbir go talk to Kanya. He doesn't want to as he doesn't know what to say that will wake Kanya. Jennifer tells him tell her how he feels. To this he does just that. He goes to see her in his wheel chair. She was still the same but this ti,e round there was more colour to her cheeks.

R-Kanya U R making a habit of me grovelling to U(laughs nervously) This is weird Kanya what do i say. All i know is I want U by my side now. Pronto. I want U happy and flirty teasing me all the time. U can't leave me in the middle. We R suppose to marry in 2 days time and even then its postponed. I will not have anyone or even destiny itself tear U away from me. Kismet brought us together. U can't betray my love by leaving do U get me. I am fighting for U for Us and i need U to do the same.

Ranbir kissed Kanyas face and was about to leave when she comes alive kinda. He shouts for everyone to come. All are happy.

Kanya stirs awake. The first person she sees is Ranbir just like Sleeping Beauty. She gives Ranbir a faint smile and mouths him to come forwards. He comes close.

K-Now U can wake me up like this every day.
