Chapter 10

3 months later…
        
            Yes, it's been over nine months of pregnancy for these three women, yet still no sign of labor pains. They are so past their due dates, by about two weeks! The poor girls have been going absolutely crazy, wishing their babies would just pop out any second so they could be at piece. It's been a month since Aaliya and Mukti gave birth. Josh and Aaliya had a baby boy who they named Shabd, who by the way looks like a cutie just like Josh, but has Aaliya's eyes and nose. Prem and Mukti have decided to name their baby boy Suraj, who looks like a mixture of both his parents. As of now Kripa, Anjali, and Prachi could only hope that one of these days they would go into labor and hopefully SOON. Oh, wait it looks like Kripa, no wait Anjali as well… whoa whoa whoa hold the phone-- it looks like ALL THREE of girls' water just broke. It is about time too because they all looked ready to explode any second… Looks like all three of girls are going to the hospital now and being carried down by their sweet and yet very exhausted husbands! Let's just hope they don't crack a joke about their weight in this condition or they might not be able to see their child being brought into the world.

             All three men come outside their house and see each other. When they all notice the pregnant screaming women in their arms they all decide to drive together. They decide to take Angad's black Hummer. Kripa sits in the passenger seat, while Anjali and Prachi sit in the middle and hold onto their husbands' hands who are sitting in the backseat.

In the car, Kripa is yelling, "ANGAD DRIVE FASTER! STOP DRIVE LIKE A FREAKING GRANDMA!!!" Angad raises his finger in her direction to retort, but then quickly shuts his mouth. He knows Kripa will probably kick him somewhere he would rather not be kicked and then claim that "it" is the reason she got pregnant in the first place. Neev starts trying to calm down Prachi by talking like a baby, but all that does is cause Kripa, Anjali, and Prachi to start yelling at him. The girls start and throwing around fists aiming for Neev, but end up knocking out Kavya for several minutes. After regaining consciousness, Kavya starts running his fingers through Anjali's hair to soothe her. Anjali shouts, "STOP TOUCHING ME KAVYA! THAT IS WHAT GOT ME HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE! DON'T EVER TOUCH ME AGAIN OR SO HELP ME GOD I WILL CHOP YOU INTO LITTLE PIECES AND FEED THEM TO OUR DOG!" Kavya stupidly says, "Umm Anju we don't… we don't have a dog…" Anjali flares up in anger, but is cut off by Angad screaming, "KAVYA JUST SHUT THE HECK UP! GOD, ARE YOU STUPID?" Kavya just sits back and tries to avoid looking at Anjali because it seems to scare the crap out of him. Neev whispers in Kavya's ear when the girls are too busy screaming from labor pains, "Dude it's like they are possessed by demons… Oh man what if they are giving birth to demon children!" Kavya looks at Neev weirdly and then smacks him in the head, "Idiot I told you not to watch The Omen last night!" Neev nervously laughs and then gulps hoping his kid isn't some sort of demon child. With that thought, they soon arrive at the hospital.

The boys get the girls out of the cars and bring wheelchairs for the girls. The boys quickly sign forms while the girls are whisked away to rooms. Neev quickly calls both sets of parents and tells them that the girls are in the hospital. The parents had been on their way to a restaurant, so they quickly turn around and drive as quickly as possible to the hospital. The boys rapidly run to their wives assigned rooms, which are close enough to each other.

When Neev enters Prachi's room, he quickly comes near her bed. Neev places his hand on her forehead and tries to soothe her. Prachi starts to relax under his touch. When Prachi is not experiencing a contraction she calmly says to Neev, "I'm sorry about what happened in the car! Well actually, I'm sorry about how I have been acting while I was or well am pregnant! Main jaanti hoon ke maine tumko bahut saataya hain! Sorry…" Neev smiles and kisses her forehead, "Hey jaan, it's okay! Tum hamare bache ko janam dene wali ho, so you're allowed to act a little hyper! Besides I like having you mad, you look so sexy!" Prachi looks at Neev appalled and slaps his arm yelling, "Neev! You're just too much!" They both start laughing, and Neev kisses her forehead reassuringly.

When Kavya enters Anjali's room, he rushes over as he hears her cry in pain. Kavya could not see Anjali like this at all. She looks so helpless and there isn't much Kavya can do to help her. Kavya could see her nails digging into the palm of her hand in attempts to help ease the pain. Kavya takes her hand in his, while Anjali looks like she is about to flip out about him touching her. Soon even that thought escapes her mind as she feels his lips on her palm. His lips are where she had dug her nails so deeply that there are traces of blood on her palm. Suddenly Anjali stops focusing on her pain and instead turns her attention to her husbands calming technique, which was working like a charm. He then looks up at her to see her smiling. Kavya lays his head close to her ear whispering, "It will all be okay!"

When Angad enters Kripa's room, he casually strolls in until Kripa yells his name. She shouts, "ANGAD WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? GOD YOU ARE SO SLOW! FIRST YOU DRIVE SLOW AND NOW YOU WALK SLOW!!" Angad practically jogs up to her asking, "What's wrong?" Kripa grabs him by the tie of his shirt yelling, "WHAT'S WRONG? WHAT'S WRONG? I'M PREGNANT YOU IDIOT! THAT'S WHAT'S ******* WRONG!" Angad manages to squeak, "I-I'm c-choking!" Kripa lets go of his tie while Angad curses his stupid luck that the day he decided to wear a tie to work is the day Kripa decides to commit murder. He tosses the tie aside, in efforts to stop her temptation. Kripa grabs onto his hand and squeezes tightly. As Kripa's labor pains come and go so does the blood circulation in Angad's hand. Angad moans in pain, "God Krips when did you get so strong? You're killing my hand! This hurts, this really hurts!" Kripa yells on top of her lungs, "ARE YOU INSANE? THAT HURT? YOU THINK THAT HURTS? I'M ABOUT TO PUSH A CHILD OUT OF MY BODY AND YOU THINK THAT YOUR HAND HURTS!!! DO NOT TALK TO ME ABOUT PAIN YOU FOOL!!!" Angad continuously starts to beg for her forgiveness.

Eventually the doctors come in and check on the girls. The doctors give them some medication to help ease the pain upon their wives' request. After a couple hours of the wives trying to kill their husbands, the doctors decide that Prachi is ready to be wheeled into the delivery room. Neev follows as the doctors wheel Prachi into the delivery room. Neev holds her hand as the doctor instructs Prachi to push. Neev wipes the sweat off her forehead, trying to assure her she is fine. The doctor informs her to keep pushing. In the middle of pushing, Prachi starts to cry looking at Neev. Prachi pleads, "I can't Neev I can't do this!" Neev assures, "Prachi of course you can! I know you can! Jaan our baby is waiting to come into this world, OUR WORLD! I need you to do this for me, for us! Please jaan!"

Prachi nods and continues with all her might until all that is heard is the sound of crying. Neev rushes over to get a look at the baby and tears well up in his eyes as he looks from the baby to Prachi. He goes close to Prachi and whispers, "It's a girl Prachi! Our baby girl!" Prachi smiles and breaks down into tears of joy holding onto Neev. Soon enough the doctor brings their daughter snugly wrapped up in a pink blanket with a little pink hat. Neev looks over at Prachi and whispers, "She's just like you Prachi!" Prachi and Neev notice the little baby girl open her eyes while Prachi gasps in awe, "She has your eyes Neev!" Neev kisses Prachi's forehead whispering, "Thank you jaan!"

Just then, the doctors rush Anjali into the delivery room with Kavya running behind. Kavya meets up with Neev and Prachi, while they prep Anjali. Kavya looks at his little niece, kisses his little sister on the forehead, and then slaps Neev on the back yelling, "You two made one hell of a cutie!" Kavya runs off to Anjali when she screams his name in agony. Anjali keeps screaming his name even though he is standing there right next to her. Kavya cannot seem to take the shrilling voice of hers as she yells so he closes his hand over her mouth almost as if it were a reflex. Kavya relaxes as he stops hearing her yelling, but then he ends up screaming himself as Anjali bites onto his palm. Anjali screams, "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? HOW DARE YOU PUT A HAND OVER MY MOUTH? ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME? GET OUT RIGHT NOW!!!"

Kavya looks at her shocked, "You don't mean that Anju! Ohh I know what will cheer you up! Prachi had a baby girl!" Anjali screams, "NOTHING WILL CH… wait what? Prachi had a girl? Is she cute?" Kavya nods and then Anjali says a brief 'aww', but soon starts screaming again so Kavya rushes to her side. The doctor instructs her to start pushing. Kavya holds onto her hand, not caring about the pain. Kavya peeks over to see a head popping out. Kavya freaks out looking at the blood and goes back to Anjali, vowing not to look until the baby is all cleaned up. Soon all that is heard is the sound of the baby crying, their baby crying. Anjali nudges Kavya to check if the baby is a boy or a girl, but he refuses to look so the doctor announces, "It's a boy!" Kavya and Anjali gasp in excitement and then find the little boy wrapped up in a blue blanket with a blue hat. Kavya and Anjali stare at the angelic face in their arms. Anjali whispers lovingly, "He's just as cute as you! He has your lips and chin" Kavya says softly, "He has your nose… and your eyes, look he opened his eyes!" Just then Neev runs over and asks, "Well?" Kavya smiles, "It's a boy!" Neev slaps his back and walks over to Anjali, giving her a tight hug. Neev kisses her forehead, "He's beautiful Anju!"

Just then everyone hears Angad yelling through the halls, "MOVE PEOPLE MOVE! PREGNANT LADY COMING THROUGH!" Kripa gets wheeled in and gets prepared while Angad runs over to Neev and Prachi to look at their beautiful daughter. He then runs back to Anjali and Kavya to look at their baby boy. He gives Anjali a hi-five before getting sent off to be with Kripa. Angad quickly holds onto Kripa's hand and begins to bite down on his lip as Kripa crushes his hand. He certainly could not fuss about his hand at the  moment, he wouldn't repeat that mistake again!" Angad looks over by the doctor and sees the baby crowning. He can't help but looks a little disgusted, which leads Kripa to give him a cold glare. The doctor starts telling her to push and soon enough there is the blissful noise of crying, which is heard throughout the room. Angad looks over and shoots his fist in the air screaming, "It's a boy Krips!" Kripa smiles and notices blood on his lips. She pulls him into a passionate kiss, which is cut very short.

The doctor says, "Okay the next one will be along any second!" Kripa and Angad freeze slowly pulling out of their kiss and rotating their heads to face the doctor. Angad stutters, "W-What n-next o-one?" The doctor says it slowly as if Angad was some kind of moron, "The next baby of course! Kripa is having twins…" Kripa and Angad both scream, "WHAT??!!" the doctor looks stunned saying, "Didn't you know?" Angad and Kripa violently shake their heads and then Kripa cringes in pain. The doctor gets back to work while Angad helps her concentrate only on pushing. Angad says, "Hey how about you think of how mad you are at the gynecologist and that will help you push! THINK ANGER!" Kripa screams, "WE SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO PRACHI WHEN SHE SAID SOMETHING WAS FUNNY WITH THE SONOGRAM PICTURE!! THAT OTHER DOCTOR WAS AN IDIOT!" With that, there is another cry. Angad looks over and then smiles at Kripa whispering, "It's a girl!" Kripa gasps while Angad whispers, "We have one of each Krips!" When the nurse came back, she hands Angad, the girl and Kripa, the boy. They both turn to each other at the same time saying, "This one is just like you!" Just then Kavya and Neev come over and ask together, "Well?" Kripa slowly says, "It's a boy!" Kavya and Neev hug Angad, but freeze as they hear Kripa say, "And a girl!" Kavya and Neev turn their heads to Kripa and Angad, while their eyes pop out.

Soon they move the girls out of the delivery room and into one huge room, which was perfect because they were able to stay together and talk. Naina, Dilip and Surya each hold a baby admiring their innocence and similar features to their own children. Since there were four grandchildren, each of the grandparents got to hold a baby. Dilip asks, "So did you kids decide on names yet?" Neev says, "Prachi was suppose to think of a boy name, while I thought of a girl name." Prachi asks, "So what name did you choose?" Neev took his little baby girl in his arms, sitting next to Prachi and softly said, "Kiran." Everyone smiles thinking it is a cute name and suited their baby girl quite well. Surya asks, "Anju, Kavya what did you two choose?" Anjali smiles looking over at Kavya saying, "Ved." Kavya repeats, "Ved… I like it!" Kavya comes over and kisses Anjali's forehead, holding her in his arms. Naina and Gayatri ask, "What about you two?" Angad says, "Well I was in charge of the girl's name and Kripa was in charge of the boy's… so the name I picked for my princess, is Sur." Angad brings his baby boy to Kripa as she says, "This little devil's name is Prateek."

Everyone starts to play with the beautiful children. The parents soon go home, leaving the guys to spend the night looking after their beautiful wives and the beautiful newborns children. The boys all turn to their wives and exclaim, "We all do WAY too much stuff together!" They all start to laugh, knowing it was completely true. As the guys looked at their little family, they couldn't help but think life is perfect…absolutely perfect.
