Chapter 49

In the morning in Neev and Prachi's room, Prachi wakes up to see Neev's innocent face with his mouth hanging wide open. Prachi smiles and gives him a kiss on the cheek. Neev stirs in his sleep mumbling, "I love you Prachi…" Prachi starts to blush as she gets up from bed. Prachi heads towards the shower. After a nice relaxing shower, Prachi comes out in a light pink salwar kameez suit with wet hair. She looks breathtaking. Prachi notices Neev is still lazily laying on the bed. Prachi places her hands on her hips and sighs, while shaking her head. She sits at the edge of the bed and softly whispers, "Neev utho" He turns in bed mumbling, "Pehle please bolo!" Prachi gets annoyed, "Neev uth rahe ho ya nahin?" Neev mumbles, "Pehle please bolo phir uth jaonga!"

Prachi groans while Neev smiles with his eyes still closed. Prachi gets closer to Neev and whispers in his ear, "Please…pretty please with a cherry on top!" Neev smiles widely and pulls Prachi on top of him. Prachi's mouth drops in shock which Neev takes advantage of by pulling her into the sweetest kiss. Neev and Prachi pull away as her wet hair touches his face. He asks, "Did you just have a shower?" Prachi nods while Neev gasps, "Without me?" Prachi slaps his arm, "Chup… baadmash!" Neev laughs and kisses Prachi on the cheek, then skips off to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready.

In the morning in Kavya and Anjali's room, Anjali starts moving her hand around trying to figure out what she is resting on she is since she seems too lazy to open her eyes. Her hand starts traveling down Kavya's chest as he moans in pleasure. Anjali feels the beatings of his heart and her eyes burst open landing on Kavya's attractive face. A huge smile appears on Anjali's face as she remembers she is now married to Kavya. Anjali starts tracing circles on Kavya's bare chest. When she notices him move a muscle, she inches near Kavya's face and whispers, "Good morning!" Kavya just hugs Anjali, pulling her on top of himself whispering, "Hmm love you!" Anjali blushes and whispers, "Come on we should get ready!" Kavya whispers, "No, I'm tired!" Anjali nudges Kavya saying, "We have to go down, I'm sure Dad and Mom are waiting for us!" Kavya groans, "But I barely slept!" Anjali sits up arguing with Kavya further. Out of pure annoyance Anjali kicks Kavya in the butt while going towards the bathroom, making him fall flat on the ground. Kavya gets up rubbing his butt to soothe his pain away thinking, "I'll get her later!"

As soon as Anjali comes out of the bathroom wearing a towel, Kavya starts to chase her around the room trying to take the towel away from her. Anjali falls on the bed and as soon as Kavya grabs the towel, Anjali pulls the covers over herself. She watches as Kavya casually whistles all the way to the bathroom with her towel around his neck. He yells, "That's for kicking me Anju!" Anjali groans while wrapping the bed sheet tighter around her body.

In the morning in Angad and Kripa's room, the sunlight entering through the window gently stroking Kripa's eyelids. She becomes annoyed by the sunlight's interference on her perfect morning. Kripa buries her face into Angad's bare chest. Angad drops his hands around Kripa's waist, hugging her closer. He kisses her forehead mumbling, "I love you Krips!" Kripa softly whispers, "Me too!" Kripa throws her arms around him cuddling and softly kissing his chest asking, "Angad what time is it?" He replies without even glancing at a watch, "Time to go back to sleep Krips!" Kripa moans as Angad starts kissing and nuzzling into Kripa's neck. He laughs as he hears her soft moans and whimpers, "Angad we have to get up!" Angad quickly replies, "Maybe later, this is more fun don't you agree?" Kripa laughs, "Come on Angad, what will everyone say?" Angad romantically says, "That they had a rough night and need sleep!" Kripa looks at him horrified, "Okay that's it we are getting up right now!" Kripa starts to get up off the bed, but gets pulled back by Angad making her land on top of him in his firm grip. Angad scoops her up in his muscular arms and takes her into the bathroom whispers, "Let's get ready together!" Kripa blushes and kisses Angad passionately, wrapping her arms around his neck.

 

Downstairs in the Khanna House, Dilip is sitting at the dining table, while Naina is in the kitchen. Neev and Prachi are the first to make their way downstairs for breakfast. Neev sits with his father to discuss current events while Prachi enters the kitchen to help Naina with breakfast. Soon after, Angad and Kripa also come down stairs. Angad joins in on the discussion with the men whereas Kripa joins the women in the kitchen. Prachi and Kripa decide to make food for their husbands.

Kripa starts grinning widely at the thought of making food for the boys. She taps Prachi and whispers something in her ear, while Prachi's eyes grow wide in shock. Prachi says, "Di they will kill us!" Kripa waves her hand dismissing Prachi's concern replying, "No they won't! Come on… you know you want to!" Prachi shakes her head replying, "Nuh uh." Kripa folds her hands begging, "Pleaseeee…"  Prachi melts seeing her cute sister's expressions and caves in. Kripa and Prachi decide to make halwa since it is Angad and Neev's favorite. While making it Prachi asks, "Di how are we going to ruin it?" Krips picks up the salt bottle saying, "Ta-da! This is gonna be fun!"

Prachi shakes her head and laughs while Kripa dumps a hand full of salt into the pan, mixing it thoroughly. Kripa asks hesitantly, "You think we should check it?"  Prachi looks at Kripa with wide eyes saying, "Main nahin ka rahi yeh!" Kripa and Prachi giggle, while Naina sneaks up behind asking, "Kya ho raha hain? Tum dono itna kyun haas rahe ho?" Kripa and Prachi pull Naina down to ear level and whisper their master plan to her, while Naina grins, "Bilkul saahi bahu chuni hain humne apne beto ke liye! Lage raho, ab maaza ayega!"  Kripa and Prachi laugh as they see Naina wink and leave towards the dinning table with the rest of the breakfast. Kripa and Prachi put the halwa into a bowl and take it to the table to serve their husbands.

Angad and Neev literally jump out of their chairs as they see that their wives have prepared halwa just for them. Kripa and Prachi cover their mouths since they can't seem to control the smile forming on their faces. Kripa and Prachi serve their husbands with halwa and wait for them to take a bite. As soon as the halwa enters their mouths, the bitter taste nearly has them gagging. Angad and Neev look at their wives helplessly, not knowing whether they put salt instead of sugar on purpose or by accident. If it's on purpose then the boys can spit it across the room, but by chance if it's by accident it would probably have the girls in tears for despising their cooking. The boys are sure in a dilemma, to swallow or not to swallow that is the question!

The girls notice the fix the boys are in and pretend to act innocent as if they had no idea about the salt. The boys keep the halwa in their mouth, not wanting to swallow. Just then Dilip notices the boys haven't swallowed so he asks, "Arre tum dono ka kyun nahin re ho? Hamari dono bahu ke haathon mein toh jaado hain! Kao kao!" Naina looks away hiding her smile as her husband basically orders her boys to swallow the bitter halwa. Angad and Neev decide to swallow the bitter halwa and then chug down a full glass of orange juice. The boys start making weird facial expressions and then put their hands up saying at the same time, "Hogaya aur nahin!!" Kripa and Prachi make sad faces saying, "Kya hua acha nahin laga?"

 The girls look like they are on the verge of crying. The boys look at them shocked. Angad speaks up rapidly, "Nahin aise baat nahin hain! Bas mann nahin kar raha." Kripa starts fake crying while Dilip looks angrily at his sons demanding, "Angad, Neev! Poora kao nahin to maar kaoge! Meri bechari betiyon ko ruladiya tum dono ne!" Angad and Neev look horrified as they watch Kripa and Prachi wink at them. Now the boys are pretty mad that the girls did this on purpose. The boys jump out their seats yelling, "But dad the girls put…" Dilip yells, "Angad, Neev eat now!" The boys give killer looks to their wives while they eat the atrocious halwa. The girls shake off the deadly glares as they silently laugh.

Downstairs in the Sharma House, Surya is sitting at dinning table while Gayatri is in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Soon Kavya and Anjali come downstairs. Kavya and Surya engage in light conversation while Anjali goes to the kitchen to help Gayatri prepare breakfast for the men. Anjali decides to make kheer for Kavya since it is his favorite. Now normally Anjali makes the really great kheer. Gayatri sees how devotedly Anjali is making kheer for Kavya and is really touched by her love. Gayatri kisses Anjali's forehead and makes breakfast.

After the kheer is ready, Anjali pours it into a bowl and brings it out to the dinning table with Gayatri bringing the breakfast. Kavya's mouth starts to water as he sees the kheer. Anjali blushes as she sees the happiness on his face. Anjali gives him some kheer in a bowl and warns, "Kavya don't eat it…" Kavya didn't even let Anjali finish and he put the spoonful of burning hot kheer in his mouth. The moment the kheer enters his mouth, Kavya yells, "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Anjali covers her ears and rushes to Kavya giving him a glassful of water. After he drinks the ice cold water he breathes a sigh of relief. Anjali places her hands on her hips saying, "I was trying to tell you it was still hot!" Anjali laughs at Kavya's embarrassed expressions. Surya and Gayatri begin to laugh seeing their cute behavior towards one another.

Anjali sits next to Kavya to feed him the kheer she made especially for him. Anjali gets a spoonful of kheer, blows on it gently, and then feeds Kavya lovingly. Kavya smiles, "Anju this kheer is amazing! Thanks for making it for me!" Anjali smiles shyly, "Well who else would I make the kheer for if not you? Consider is my apology for this morning" Kavya and Anjali laugh. Anjali insists to Surya and Gayatri, "Mom, dad aap log bhi leejye na. Maine apne haathon se banaya hain, lena to parega hi!" Surya and Gayatri smile as their Anjali serves then kheer. Gayatri and Surya compliment, "Wah kya kheer banayi hain hamari bahu ne, kamal kardiya!" Anjali blushes as Gayatri hugs Anjali on a job well done.

 
            After breakfast the girls are to head over to their parents house for the phag phere rasam. The boys are not too thrilled about the separation for a couple hours, but they are extremely excited about the reception party tonight. The girls spend time with their parents and bugging their brothers for old time sake. Soon enough the boys go pick up their wives from next door at their parents' houses and get ready for the reception party tonight.
