aina was sitting on the couch of her living room. Her eyes were closed and her face had a smile. She was very happy. Two of her best friends were married now. She had a great time at the wedding and now it was getting difficult for her to get over it. She was holding an envelope in her hand on which "PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL" was written in bold words. She knew it was about her new posting. Her senior had told her that she'll be posted somewhere else when she comes back from her leave.

"Okay, Captain Naina Singh Ahluwalia….enough of mauj masti now…time to get back to work" She was talking to herself as she opened the envelope.

When she has finished reading the letter, the smile from her face disappeared. She was right. It was about her new posting but this was the last place on the earth she believed she would be posted.

 

Naina's pluck during her academy days couldn't have gone unnoticed. Not just the KMA administration but also military board appreciated that. Even Army intelligence was not left behind. They always need soldiers who had the courage to fight against all the odds and Naina fitted the bill just perfectly. Today Captain Naina Singh was an Army Intelligence Officer just like her brother and her Rajveer sir. She felt like she was carrying forward a legacy because even she was posted at KMA to protect the triggers and the information about Nuclear Power of the country that were held safely at KMA but now the safety was under some threat. She was assigned the same task for which her brother died and during which Rajveer Singh Shekhawat walked in her life and changed it forever. Those memories were the only thing because of which she never went back to KMA and nor she ever wanted to. But today she was not left with a choice. She had to report at KMA and that too the following day itself.

 

Naina called up at KMA and confirmed her arrival. She decided to go by car because it was hardly a 10 hour drive and she had to report by 1800 hours.

 

Next day she set out at 0730 hours. The drive was smooth till she reached half of the way but suddenly she lost her balance over the steering. She stopped the car immediately and found that front tyres of her cars were punctured because of nails lying on the road. That irritated her badly. She didn't want to go to KMA in the first place & now this. She had one spare tyre but for the other one she had to look for a mechanic around. That wasted a lot of time. Finally she got that fixed and continued. Hardly after driving for 2 hours there was another problem. There was a huge traffic jam. She got down from her car to see what was happening there. She saw the road was blocked by Police.

"Excuse me Officer, can you please tell me what is going on here" Naina asked one of the officers there.

"Bomb Blast hua hai madam" He answered.
