Chapter 31

Recap: Angad and Kripa are not talking to each other. Reema, Josh, Angad and Kripa head out for the club. Just when the fun begins, some guys misbehave with Kripa outside the club. Kripa is screaming for help but no one can hear with the loud music inside.

Today's update:

Kripa is constantly screaming trying to get someone to help her. On the other hand, everyone inside the club is having fun. All are dancing and having the time of their lives. Angad then realizes Kripa is nowhere in sight and looks around for her. To his bad luck, he doesn't find her and starts to get worried.

     Outside the drunken guys are treating Kripa like she was some kind of public property. By now Kripa is totally freaked and has no clue at all what to do. She is tired of screaming and her throat is killing her after all that screaming. One of the guys grabbed Kripa's waist and was about to kiss her when a strong muscular hand fell on the guy. The guy turned around to punch Angad. Angad grabs the guy's arm and twists it around and kicks him in the stomach, the guy falls to the ground. Just like that, one by one, Angad beats up all the guys. When all the guys are fallen to the ground, unable to stand on their feet, Angad walks over to a scared Kripa.

     Kripa is sitting in a corner crying her eyes out. She's terribly scared, seeing Angad she runs to him and hugs him. He just hugs her back just as tight knowing she is terrified and is in no position to speak to him. Angad walks her over to his car and they sit in the car. All this time Angad has been trying to calm her down and make her feel a bit better about the whole incident.

     Kripa is calmer now, though the tears keep flowing from her eyes. Angad just holds Kripa in his arms and embraces her as tight as possible. During this moment, Angad finds the right time to explain to Kripa about his terrible past.

A: Kripa…..Mein ..I have to tell you something

Kripa looks up.

A: I know you were completely heartbroken when you saw Simone hug me…you probably thought there was something between us

K: Angad..mein…I don't care anymore…I have you and I just want you to promise me that you'll never leave me!!

A: I wont Kripa, promise….but I find it necessary to inform you regarding my past life.

     "It was the Summer of senior year. I was on vacation with some friends to Goa when I met Simone and I don't know what but something attracted me towards her. For days and days I followed her. I craved to just have one chance to express my feelings for her. That day finally came when we were about to leave and return to Mumbai. We were at the hotel (we happened to be staying at the same hotel) and we still had a few hours left till our flight to Mumbai. So I went out into the garden area of the hotel and thought to myself that maybe I'll never meet her again. At the time, I seriously thought I was in love. Anyways, she saw me and also came into the garden and we talked for the first time. As we sat on the bench of the beautiful garden talking we came closer and closer. Just before we got up to leave to our hotel rooms and down to the airport she told me she was also resided in Mumbai. I delighted with joy and thought I couldn't be happier."

     "After our return we spent almost every single day together doing one thing or another. I grew closer to each other. Perhaps it was an infactuation, but infactuation or not, one day she broke my heart!"

     "College started and I was busy with assignments. I was always running to the library and home and doing errands for home. Although I still managed to give her sometime of the day she seemed to act different. Many times the thought came to my mind that something was different about her. Then around Christmas break when I finally got a chance to go meet her, I did. I hadn't told her I was coming to see her, I wanted to surprise her. Unfortunately, I was the one who was surprised, not her. She was there sitting in the arms of another guy, drinking champagne and what not. Ever since that day I had given up on love and never had any emotions. Day by day, my anger worsened and I became more independent and didn't want anyone to try to come close to me. But the day I met you changed everything! Seeing your simplicity and well, anger seemed to me as if I was looking in a mirror seeing my own reflection. Then at the wedding, I don't know what but I realized, I didn't love Simone. I love you!"

A: So I'm really sorry Kripa…honestly I love you and don't ever wanna lose you.

He looked at Kripa and she looked back at him with the most moist eyes he had ever seen. Having no words to say she just hugged him and the two drove home, happy that the misunderstanding was cleared.
