Chapter Six

 

Angad laughed his head off when he entered his room at about 3.00 am. He sighed; he can~{!/~}t remember enjoying that much and talking so openly with someone who has the same profession, understands the situation. Angad laughed again remembering the expression on her face when threw the water on her face. After few minutes he quiets down but then again laughed uncontrobaaly. Holding his stomach, he fell on the sofa. It was the wonderful moment he just her.Kripa on the other hand fell asleep with a smile on her face.

 

Kripa walked to the lobby to see Angad flirting with one of hotel assistants. She shook her head and thought of the last night. She smiled, seeing Angad this side was totally unexpected from him. She smiled to herself.

 

Angad ended the conversation with a girl and ran to Kripa who just had walked past him.

 

~{!.~}Kripa wait!~{!/~} he called after her.

 

~{!.~}Hey Kripa~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Hey Angad, what are you doing here?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}What, can~{!/~}t person talk to his friends?~{!/~}

 

Kripa smiled. ~{!.~}He can but seeing that you were busy there, I thought not to disturb you!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Oh, were you jealous?~{!/~} he asked raising his eyebrows, as they both walked to their black limousine.

 

~{!.~}In your dreams! So Angad do you know what is today?~{!/~} she asked.

 

Angad bit his tongue and looked at her sheepishly. ~{!.~}Kripa! Don~{!/~}t ypu test me again. I know where I am going!~{!/~} he said trying to defend himself.

 

~{!.~}O.K, you can take the limousine, I~{!/~}ll be there soon as I finish my appointment?~{!/~}

With that she went to her private car, and left. Angad went to the limousine hoping that the driver knows where to take him. As soon he sat in the limousine, it started leaving. He sighed in relief.

 

Kripa smiled like a brat when she reached the Karan Johar~{!/~}s office.

 

~{!.~}Good morning Kripa~{!/~} Karan pulled Kripa into a quick hug following by a kiss on her cheek. She smiled at him back.

 

~{!.~}Good Morning to you too Karan~{!/~}

 

Karan looked around and noticed Angad wasn~{!/~}t here and looked back at Kripa who was smiling.

 

~{!.~}Where~{!/~}s Mr. Khanna?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Oh, I don~{!/~}t know. I didn~{!/~}t saw him since last night.~{!/~} Kripa replied acting innocently. Karan looked at her few minutes,

 

~{!.~}I thought you both lived in a same hotel?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}We do, May be he~{!/~}s late.~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Yes may be, perhaps I~{!/~}ll try to get him. Excuse me Kripa~{!/~} he straightened himself and left the room.

 

Meanwhile the Limousine stopped in front of the New York Zoo. Angad rolled his windows down to see the board, ~{!.~}Welcome to New York Zoo!

 

~{!.~}Are you sure we are at the right place?~{!/~} Angad asked curiously to the driver. Before he can say anything, Angad~{!/~}s cell start ringing.

 

~{!.~}Hello?~{!/~}

 

On the other end it~{!/~}s Karan. ~{!.~}Mr.Khanna its Karan~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Karan? You have a booked a meeting in a Zoo?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}What?~{!/~} Karan choked, not knowing what he is saying. ~{!.~}I don~{!/~}t get your jokes Mr.Khanna. Me and Kripa are waiting for you here in my office?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}kripa is with you?~{!/~} Angad asked suddenly alarmed that he may he been tricked by her?

 

~{!.~}yes and Am I hoping to see you here?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}yes~{!/~} and he ended the call.

 

Angad heard Karan and Kripa as he approached the office. What were they talking about? About him? Did she tell him that how many times she had fooled him? Nervously he knocked on the door.

 

~{!.~}Come in~{!/~} he heard some one call.

 

Angad entered the office.

 

~{!.~}Mr.Khanna, you are here finally!~{!/~} Karan said rising from his seat to shook hands with Angad.

 

~{!.~}Good Morning Karan~{!/~} Angad greeted, relieved that he did not know. Angad took place beside and gave him a stare while Kripa looked at him innocently.

 

~{!.~}Hi Angad~{!/~} she said, trying her best to laugh. ~{!.~}Where were you? Did you have a busy last night? Or were you out all night clubbing!~{!/~}

 

Angad gave Kripa a cold stare. ~{!.~}Hi, Kripa, Nice of you to take care, but darling I think you had a short amnæsia? I was with you last night. Remember?~{!/~} Angad smirked.

 

Kripa felt her face flushed. ~{!.~}I did know that but I thought you went someone where else after you left? Like you always do~{!/~} she added with a sarcasm dripping in her voice.

 

Meanwhile Karan was confused what was going on between them. At the same moment they looked so cute, fighting like school kids. He smiled remembering about his early school days.

 

~{!.~}Well are we settled then?~{!/~} Karan said interrupting their conversation. They both looked at him to continue with the meeting.

 

~{!.~}Thank God~{!/~} Angad said ~{!.~}It finally ended, God I was suffocating there!~{!/~} as they both stepped out of the office. Kripa smiled at his altitude. He was just acting like a kid.

 

~{!.~}What?~{!/~} Angad cried as he looked to see Kripa smiling at him.

 

~{!.~}Nothing, Angad have you ever wondered you don~{!/~}t look like a grown-up. You behave like a school kid! ~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Gosh Kripa, Do we have to stay grown up all the time? Seriously did you not find the meeting boring, I felt like going into dreamy sleep!~{!/~} Angad exclaimed.

 

~{!.~}I know what you mean Angad. When did I say meeting was not boring? Gosh I remember my high school days where my psychology teacher kept on blabbing and I was sleeping all the time~{!/~} Kripa smiled as she thought about her early days.

 

Now Angad smiled. ~{!.~}Exactly, the only difference is that I took interest psychology!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}You did not?~{!/~} Kripa asked surprised.

 

~{!.~}Well what~{!/~}s wrong with that?~{!/~}

~{!.~}What?~{!/~} Angad asked curiously as they stopped by the limousine. Angad opened the door and took a seat. Kripa took a seat far away from Angad.

 

~{!.~}Well may be your teacher is young hot and sexy. You know what I mean or you would have a crush on her!~{!/~}

 

Angad felt his face blushes, she was damn right but how did she know?

 

~{!.~}I was right then!~{!/~} Kripa asked laughingly as she noticed Angad blushes.

 

Angad gave a smile. ~{!.~}Well part of it that I don~{!/~}t have a crush on her. How do you know?~{!/~}

Angad raised his left eyebrow and smirked at her. ~{!.~}So you know lot about men?~{!/~}

~{!.~}You little witch, you tricked me again!~{!/~} Angad said coming closer to her with a grin on his face. ~{!.~}No I won~{!/~}t leave you~{!/~}. Before Kripa could scream, Angad was tickling her endlessly.

 

Kripa laughed loudly, kicking her legs in the air. Angad was on top of her tickling her. ~{!.~}Stop it Angad~{!/~} she cried. She was laughing so much and it looked like she can cry anytime.

 

~{!.~}Will you do it anymore?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Do what?~{!/~} Kripa cried angrily, stopping her self from laughing but no luck.

 

~{!.~}Playing tricks on me. Promise me that you~{!/~}ll never do it on me again!~{!/~} Angad tickled her again and laughed along. Kripa got her hands on him and ticked him. Now Angad was all over on Kripa, tickling her and Kripa ticking him back. Their bodies were moving as closely as they tickled each other.

 

In moving so, there lips brushed against each other, everything stopped from them as they stared into each others eyes, bringing their lips together, and they enter the world of love.

 

As their lips touched, they felt the current go through their bodies; Kripa hands automatically went around his waist, where as Angad kissed her drawing him self more closer to her. Angad rolled over, holding her close to himself and kissing her.

 

The car cane to the sudden halt, both of them came back to their senses. Kripa let go of Angad and looked down in embarrassment waiting for Angad to let go. Angad faced flushed as he thought what he had done. He quickly let go of her and went back to his sear far away from her.

 

Soon they reached their place; the chauffer opened the door for her.Kripa instantly got her chance to get away from him, quickly came out and went inside without looking back.

 

Kripa came out of the shower and heard phone ringing.

 

~{!.~}Hello~{!/~} Kripa said in the phone.

 

~{!.~}Hey Sweetheart~{!/~} said the other voice.

 

~{!.~}Karan!~{!/~} Kripa cried in a rather confused tone.

 

~{!.~}Yes it~{!/~}s me sweetheart, what happened to you? You don~{!/~}t seem alright?~{!/~} Karan asked confused

 

~{!.~}No Karan, it~{!/~}s just I am tired~{!/~} she lied feeling guilty about the kiss she had with Angad.

 

~{!.~}Why don~{!/~}t you take rest now and you~{!/~}ll be fine by evening!~{!/~}

~{!.~}Not good with out you!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Karan, I love you!~{!/~} kripa said.

Angad ordered a black coffee as he sat rounded dark sofa. Why did he kiss her? He suddenly felt guilty as the thought of Kannan came to his mind. Why all of a sudden he kissed. Those honey brown eyes were like an angel and it reminded him of nothing but an innocence of child. The sight was beautiful that he couldn~{!/~}t deny it himself. What was he doing, it was just not right, he is married to his wife and he loves her all right. Does he?

 

If there were awards of acting as strangers, Angad and kripa should have topped it. They acted like perfect strangers for a week or so thinking nothing as happened between them. They did talk casually that only during the meeting when they have to! And the rest they would go on their own ways.

 

Now as kripa rushed to the lift as she was already late for the meeting which was important from now. Oh no the lift was already closing and she had to wait damn five minutes for the stupid elevator.

 

~{!.~}Lift stop~{!/~} she cried as she came near to the lift. And it did. She went in the lift and thanked the person with out looking up as she was busy straightening her self and checking her appearance in the mirror. After she was satisfied, she looked up to see Angad smirking at her.

 

She frowned why he was smirking at her. She stood there beside Angad not daring to meet her eyes with his. Suddenly the lift stop that made kripa fall on Angad and he took hold of her. They stared into each others eyes. The lights went off.

 

Kripa hugged him all of sudden. Angad surprised by her reaction stood there confused what should he do. He then sensed her fear and understood and automatically put his arms around her.

 

~{!.~}Kripa, are you O.K?~{!/~} he whispered softly in her ear as he hugged.

 

Kripa felt chill run down her spine as Angad she felt him whisper. ~{!.~}Oh god, when will light come back!~{!/~} she cried.

 

Angad laughed at her. ~{!.~}What are you laughing at?~{!/~} kripa snapped at him.

 

~{!.~}My sweet enemy who fooled me is afraid of dark. Ooo I am afraid of dark~{!/~} Angad mimicked in her voice.

 

~{!.~}Shut up!~{!/~} kripa said irritated. ~{!.~}If I~{!/~}d e you I won~{!/~}t be doing this, you know what happens!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}And you promised me that you won~{!/~}t do it again otherwise I~{!/~}ll do it again.~{!/~} Angad suddenly felt uncomfortable as it reminded him of a kiss. What would she be thinking of a kiss or tickling?

 

~{!.~}I mean Tickling!~{!/~} he said again not to mistaken her.

 

Kripa smiled. Now as kripa let go of him but still was holding on to his hand as it was dark.

 

~{!.~}Angad I wanted to talk to you~{!/~} she said.

 

Oh no what would I say and there was no way that he could escape now! It was better to face it now rather than later on.

~{!.~}I know what you are on about kripa~{!/~}, he said not exactly looking at her, ~{!.~}that day, what happened was not bound to happen and I did not how it happened but it happened. Right now I can~{!/~}t explain to myself because I was not in myself, it was like something made me do it, I am sorry I~{!/~}

 

Before he can say something kripa interrupted him, ~{!.~}I It was fault too because I kissed you back~{!/~} kripa said as her cheeks went red, Angad smiled to himself, ~{!.~}I did not know how it happened but it just did. Let~{!/~}s just pretend nothing has happened, just delete that part from our brain~{!/~} kripa faced him. It was still dark around them but they can make out their faces in the dark.

 

~{!.~}That~{!/~}s what I was exactly going to say! Exclaimed Angad.

 

~{!0~}so we are back to where we were?~{!/~} kripa asked nervously.

 

Angad smiled, ~{!.~}of course Darpok!

 

~{!.~}Angad!, I am not scared~{!/~}

 

Angad immediately let go of her hand that she was holding on to. With that instant kripa screamed his name.

 

~{!.~}Kripa, I am not deaf!~{!/~} he exclaimed.

 

~{!.~}Where are you?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}In the same place as you are!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Shut up, Fine happy I am scared of dark, Can I hold your hand?~{!/~} kripa in a such a pleading voice that made Angad heart melt. He just hugged her.

 

~{!.~}Thank you~{!/~} kripa said finally in a whisper.

~{!.~}O.K, I won~{!/~}t do anything anymore~{!/~}

Angad smiled, he didn~{!/~}t know what came over him, ~{!.~}I promise~{!/~} she smiled.

 

~{!.~}Damn, when will the lift start working and lights come on?~{!/~}

The lift suddenly stated going down and so did the lights came back. They pulled away slowly as if there bodies are refusing to go away from each other. They avoided the eye contact for few moments.

 

~{!.~}So, erm erm, where are you going now?~{!/~} kripa asked breaking the silence around them nervously.

 

Angad smiled. ~{!.~}In the meeting.~{!/~}

 

Now as they look each other they smiled. ~{!.~}So finally you remembered the schedule of your meetings?~{!/~} kripa smirked at him.

 

Before he can reply, the doors opened and they headed outside. As they approached their own individual cars, they felt bit different because now they are friends they are still going on different cars to different meetings.

 

They both looked at each other nervously hoping each other would give them the life.

 

~{!.~}Kripa, do you want to go with me?~{!/~} he asked

 

~{!.~}Sure!~{!/~} she smiled ~{!.~}Don~{!/~}t any wrong ideas!~{!/~}

 

Angad rolled his eyes as he opened his door and sat in. So did kripa.

 

The slow music floated in the car, it was quite romantic number. Kripa smiled to herself.                     

 

~{!.~}What are you smiling at?~{!/~} Angad asked as he took a glance at her and concentrated on driving.

 

~{!.~}Actually I am surprised that you actually like romantic songs?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}What~{!/~} so surprised to be about?~{!/~} he laughed. ~{!.~}Isn~{!/~}t that common!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}No, I mean look at Karan, he doesn~{!/~}t like romantic songs to be played daily in the  car.~{!/~}         

 

~{!.~}Are you saying that your hubby isn~{!/~}t romantic as you wanted?~{!/~} he asked in mischievous tone.

 

~{!.~}Angad, Karan is romantic all right and I wouldn~{!/~}t deny that. It~{!/~}s just some time when I play these Kinds of songs daily he~{!/~}d say it~{!/~}s just giving him headache! It~{!/~}s not like he don~{!/~}t like it. He~{!/~}s just un predictable some times.~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Well, I wouldn~{!/~}t say that they give me headaches, I just like them, they are so relaxing from comparing to the fast that I am given to rehearse. It~{!/~}s just give me nice break from those fast party songs!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Exactly I know what you mean, it~{!/~}s not that I don~{!/~}t like fast songs, I do especially when you are at a party or a disco~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}You like to go to disco?~{!/~} Angad asked surprised.

~{!.~}Kripa you are married! And you still go to disco? I mean look at disco, she would never agree to go to disco not because I didn~{!/~}t let her go, she just says she doesn~{!/~}t like it. I always tell her to go with me but she~{!/~}d say she~{!/~}s married and she doesn~{!/~}t like it there!~{!/~}

Kripa thought about it and agree finally.

Soon they reached their destination. They stopped outside the stylish sky scraper that was all made of glass. Behind the building was lake.

 

Kripa was awed by this sight.

 

Angad taped on her shoulders. ~{!.~}Kripa, we are getting late!~{!/~}

 

Kripa looked at him. ~{!.~}I know and since when you are concerned about being late?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Kripa~{!/~} Angad wined as he followed her into the building and reported at the reception and soon they were guided to the room by an assistant.

~{!.~}Stop kidding me around and for our information I am also concerned about it.~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Really, Wow that~{!/~}s good news~{!/~} she said sarcastically rolling her eyes at him as they approached the elevator.

~{!.~}Ooh I am scared!~{!/~} Kripa mocked him.

 

~{!.~}O.k That~{!/~}s it!~{!/~} Angad went behind kripa and started tickling her. Kripa leaned against him kicking her legs and laughing at the same time.

~{!.~}O.K sorry~{!/~} she said noticing that they were not only the people in the left. ~{!.~}Angad let go!~{!/~}

 

Angad left her surprised that she said sorry to him. Then his eyes went to the assistant who was all time here smiling at their cute relationship. He understood and smirked at Kripa. She returned him with an evil look.  He then guided them to the office.

 

~{!.~}What a surprise!~{!/~} Karan welcomed them as they approached the office. He kissed kripa on her cheeks and shook hands with Angad.

 

~{!.~}You may leave~{!/~} he said to the assistant. The assistant smiled at the threesome and left after closing the door.

 

They both sat at the black leather sofa side by side facing Karan who sat on his luxurious sofa arm chair. They were in the large beautiful modern yet spacious office. The room was in theme of black and white things. Each thing and furniture held beautiful art of its own style.

 

~{!.~}Well the time has came, you can now stop coming in for these ~{!.~}boring meetings~{!/~}.

 

Angad and Kripa gave each other a look ~{!.~}how hoes he knows?~{!/~} and then back to Karan?

 

Karan laughed. ~{!.~}You don~{!/~}t need to be surprised and I can read your thoughts and let me remind you both that I am not that old. Well yes it~{!/~}s not my idea to keep you that long for past meetings but it was Yash idea. So as I was saying that there is no need to attend for meeting but we have organised rehearsal rotas for each you and please make sure you can come on time. The rehearsals will start from tomorrow.~{!/~}

 

Kripa smiled. ~{!.~}Thank you Mr. Johar and yes who wouldn~{!/~}t deny that meets aren~{!/~}t boring? I mean what~{!/~}s the point; we don~{!/~}t play any important role in the business all we had to do perform.

 

~{!.~}Wrong!~{!/~} They heard someone say. All heads turned to see a man about forty standing in a business suite and smiling at them. He walked up to them and sat on another sofa chair that was next to Karan and looked at Kripa who was embarrassed as if she was caught of cheating by her teacher.

~{!.~}Oh it~{!/~}s nothing~{!/~} he laughed. ~{!.~}Why were you late?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Personal reasons!~{!/~} Karan nodded.

 

The man looked at Kripa who has turned red from embarrassment as If she has been caught by teacher from copying other~{!/~}s work. ~{!.~}Kripa, I appreciate your point of view about meetings but you see for us, Shareholders, it~{!/~}s important for us to acknowledge our guest to know what~{!/~}s currently going on the business. You see, ~{!0~}Beats~{!1~} is not any extra ordinary company where you just sign the contract and play your role in the company. For us, Beats, morals, values holds more important meeting than profit. We employ people not by looking at their popularity, skills. We also look at their profile and altitude~{!/~}.

 

Angad and Kripa quietly listen to the ~{!0~}lecture~{!1~} by SRK by putting a plastic smile on their faces. At one point their eyes met showing how bored they are rather how quick they are waiting for the meeting to be finished.

 

After SRK finished delivering his speech, the room all went to silence.

~{!.~}No, let~{!/~}s get to the point, Angad and Kripa from tomorrow you will start your rehearsals for your upcoming concert here right in Melbourne. The date and venue has not been finalised yet but we have finalised your rehearsals rotas and it is important for you both to attend rehearsals. Is that clear?~{!/~} he asked in strict professional tone.

Both Kripa and Angad were surprised to see the change in Karan and nodded like good students.

 

~{!.~}And one thing more, the rehearsals will hold on usual beats office which you know where is?~{!/~} SRK questioned them.

 

Angad and Kripa both nodded once again.

 

~{!.~}Morals, values are very important for us other than profit!~{!/~} Kripa said mimicking in SRK~{!/~}s professional and then making faces as Kripa walked to the car with Angad.

 

Angad simply laughed at her impression. He was right that she did act like a normal high school girl. How cute he thought? What has he just said? He shook is mind to let go of that hidden thought that he was going to think. Falling for Kripa?

He stops the car in the corner of some road and looked at her who just sat arm crossed looking at the window. He smiled at himself. ~{!.~}Kripa~{!/~} he said softly. Kripa couldn~{!/~}t help but look at him and saw him smiling at her.

~{!.~}Nothing. Has anyone told you that you don~{!/~}t look like a 23 year old girl but a 15 year old teenager?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Yes~{!/~} she smiled cutely yet embarrassed at the same time. ~{!.~}Angad, Let~{!/~}s go home, I want to go to sleep!~{!/~}

 

Angad nodded his head and smiled. ~{!.~}Of course Sleeping beauty~{!/~} as he started the engine and reversed the car to get back on the road.

 

~{!.~}Angad~{!/~} she smacked him on his elbow.

 

~{!.~}oww, Kripa! You hit like a man. Did you learn kung fu?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}yes!~{!/~} she stated angrily and looked at the window meanwhile Angad pressed his lips to stop himself from laughing. He loved to see her mad.

Kannan looked at once again at the photo album of their wedding. She smiled seeing at the pictures. Their marriage has successfully entered the second year. It was one week till their second wedding anniversary.  She was really missing him, his ways of teasing her, annoying her, complimenting her. It was just so cute of him.

 

If it hadn~{!/~}t been for her parent~{!/~}s insistence she wouldn~{!/~}t have married Angad. She remembered her mother saying, ~{!.~}Kannan believe me later in the life you~{!/~}ll come and thank me and say Mother I am very happy with him~{!/~} And indeed she is. She smiled as she came across a picture where Angad had kissed her cheeks all of a sudden and she had her mouth open click, picture taken. Anyone could say it was a perfect love marriage.

 

What should she do, she wanted a surprise for him on their second wedding anniversary. She wanted to show him how she loved him, how much she has missed him.

Kripa looked through her luggage to find the best dress for tonight date. She wanted to look special for tonight. Why? She has a date with Angad Khanna her favourite Rock star and now known as her friend or rather best friend. What ever it is, she wanted to look gorgeous for tonight. She didn~{!/~}t have anything nice to wear for tonight not even a single clothe? Yet she has dresses which according to Kripa aren~{!/~}t dashing for tonight.

 

Kripa spent special two hours in the central and south gate Melbourne shopping centres where they have specialist, designer shops for both ladies and gents. She finally got herself a dress and bought matching accessories with it. She looked at the watch to see she has only two hours left. Oh crap!

 

She smiled to herself as she checked herself for the hundredth time on the mirror; she was finally satisfied with her looks. She did not need to look good to impress someone as she already was beautiful as Karan had said to her but today she wanted to look more than beautiful. She heard a knock on the door.

 

Angad khanna stood outside her door, he moved his hand to give his hair a quick fix. He held a boutique of roses in one hand. Soon he heard the door being open he gulped down.

 

He dropped his mouth to the ground as if he saw vavavoom? She looked prettier, gorgeous, and sexy yet at the same time she stood out from others. She looked simply stunning yet beautiful. Kripa was dressed in her of shoulder black silky gown that hugs her body loosely yet showing the outline of her wonderful body. She wore high heels to meet with Angad because she didn~{!/~}t want to look like the odd couple where one is tall and the other is short.

 

Angad pulled her over close to him and kissed her cheeks, ~{!.~}Hey Beautiful~{!/~} he said softly and handed the roses to her. ~{!.~}For you.~{!/~}

 

Kripa was awed by his sight; he looked extremely handsome in his black faded jeans with white Abercrombie and Fitch T-shirt with a Black coat over top. Damn he~{!/~}s stylish. With one hand in his pocked he took her hand and kissed it. ~{!.~}You look beautiful~{!/~}. Kripa smiled at him.

 

~{!.~}You don~{!/~}t look bad too Mr.Khanna~{!/~} she grinned.

 

~{!.~}Aren~{!/~}t you going to invite your date in?~{!/~} he said still holding her hand in his.

 

~{!.~}I thought we were going out but anyways yes please do come in~{!/~}. Kripa noticed he was still holding her hand. She smiled at him as they both walked in hand in hand to her living room.

 

Kripa left his hand as she went to her room to get her purse. Angad sat down on sofa wondering what he would do next. He was quite nervous and uncomfortable with this, they were only friends. He cursed himself for bringing out this his stupid idea of date.

 

~{!.~}Angad?~{!/~} Kripa waved her hands in front of him.

 

~{!.~}What?~{!/~}

 

Kripa smiled as she knew what he was thinking. ~{!.~}You know we don~{!/~}t really have to do this?~{!/~}

 

Angad looked at her surprised as if she has read his mind but he wanted to do it. She looked completely like an angel as she smiled at him. ~{!.~} No let~{!/~}s do it, So Kripa khanna are you ready to go out with me?~{!/~} he said standing up and putting his hand out for her.

 

~{!.~}I sure will~{!/~} Kripa grinned back accepting his hand.

 

 

Minutes later, they both stood in the red carpet outside the beautiful glass decorated doors. They both stood in arm in arm and looked at each other and walked up to the three stairs. The two men opened the door for them.

 

She gasped as she walked through the tall glass doors that were beautifully decorated with shinning crystals of all sort of colours and shapes, led to the ballroom. The tall walls were swathed in rich maroon and white.

A large crystal chandelier hung from the high ceiling at the middle of the ballroom with small other crystal chandeliers as the border of each corners. The sight was just awe-inspiring for her. A grand light gold marble staircase guided the way to the second floor where dinning tables were gathered.

 

Bouquets of the most beautiful flowers were flamboyantly decorated around the room giving the air scent of pure rose.

 

 To the left of the hall sat orchestra with different types of musician instrument playing the theme of tonight. To the right of the hall, a large counter stood with different choices of drinks, from soft to hard in a beautifully decorated style. In the middle of the hall stood dancing couple statue that looked as if they are kissing. Couples were surrounded by the decoration dancing with their partner.

 

~{!.~}Beautiful!~{!/~} she whispered as she stood at the entrance.

 

Now as Angad looked at Kripa, he was once taken away by her beauty. She stood out of the crowd. ~{!.~}So are you!~{!/~} he whispered. Kripa heard that and blushed.

 

~{!.~}May I have the dance with the wonderful lady?~{!/~} Angad said putting his hand forward.

 

~{!.~}Sure.~{!/~}

 

To Kripa this was all a dream, it was like she was a princess dancing with her dream man but Angad? No she shook the thought from her head.

 

He led her to the centre of the room, placed his hands around her waist while Kripa placed her hands around his, And together their danced slowly to the night. A slow romantic tune arose from the band filled the ears with nothing but love, passion, sensual, spicy, intense, deep feeling where you are on your own with no body. Let the music drift your soul away to your darkest dreams~{!-~}.

Kripa smiled at him. ~{!.~}Angad, seriously have you ever been to Melbourne before?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}No. there was an invitation to this dance so I asked you?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Oh!~{!/~} Angad was sure he heard the disappointment in her voice.

 

~{!.~}Of course silly! I looked for it myself?~{!/~} he said. Kripa smiled.

 

~{!.~}I didn~{!/~}t ask for details?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}I know you didn~{!/~}t but I could feel the disappointment in your voice?~{!/~}

 

Kripa looked at him, those still steel brown eyes that were looking down at her held a twinkle in it. She was sure she saw a sparkle in his eyes as he looked her. She felt her stomach burn. She looked away. What was she thinking? There were only friends and nothing!

~{!.~}What do you want to know?~{!/~} he asked in a tone that Kripa felt her heart jump but nevertheless she ignored it.

 

~{!.~}Tell me, how did you get married, I mean how on earth did your mom convinced you to get married!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Hey Kripa, how did you know that?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}I didn~{!/~}t but I could guessed that much and I can also it wasn~{!/~}t a love marriage either!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}True, well. Kannan was a daughter to my family friends and my mom liked her very much and wanted to see her as her ~{!0~}bahu.~{!1~}  I wasn~{!/~}t interested in it first but when mum pressed me on and on about I couldn~{!/~}t deny it.~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}how long did it exactly take your mum to convince you?~{!/~}

 

Angad knew what she was getting it. ~{!.~}kripa, why exactly do you want to know?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Angad, please I want to know!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Well, it only took her three months?~{!/~} he said remembering the time.

~{!.~}Only three months, Angad!~{!/~} Kripa laughed. ~{!.~}That~{!/~}s long enough.~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}So, you finally agreed?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Yeah, Kannan wasn~{!/~}t bad because we were friends first and didn~{!/~}t see any harm in getting married and live as friends!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}So are you saying that you don~{!/~}t love her?~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}I do, it~{!/~}s our marriage that brought us closer. Now you tell me about your unlucky man!~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}Angad! Well my story is bit same as yours except me and Karan fell in love before marriage. We used to be friends and then we realized that we couldn~{!/~}t live a day with out each other when we don~{!/~}t see each other. Then one day he proposed to me actually surprised me!~{!/~} she replied dreamily.

 

Angad looked at her and smiled. She fitted perfectly in his arms. The silk gown of hers felt so smooth on his hand that he wanted to keep it with him for ever and pet it!~{!/~}

 

Their gaze met for a moment and they looked away. What were they doing? They had responsibilities on them and more important they can~{!/~}t let them down, they trust them.

Angad bought Kripa close to him. Kripa hugged him resting her head on his whilst Angad arm stayed around her waist, protectively, possessive~{!-~} Angad let her lean on him; they stayed their still, listening to each other~{!/~}s hidden fears.

 

People watched them in awe, while some watched them in disgust, jealous. They were in love and everyone can see that. It was the most pleasant journey of their life where they will find each other in times of pain, hatred, love, loneliness~{!-~}. Love, the most sacred gift that God has send them, it is the key to their happiness.

~{!.~}Angad, I _~{!/~}  They both heard her stomach growl. Angad laughed and whilst Kripa looked away in embarrassment.

 

~{!.~}So you were saying something?~{!/~} he teased~{!/~}

 

~{!.~}No.~{!/~} she said sternly.

 

Angad smiled. She~{!/~}s stubborn and he liked her the way she is. he pressed a kiss to her forehead. He took her hand and leaded the way. He took her to the second floor where dinning tables were.

Now I was planning to stop the part further ahead with the twist. I hope you?l enjoy reading the part because I enjoyed it while writing it.

 

I watched DON yesterday and It was awsum, it holds suspense and thrills especially at the end. I think there will Don two as. Did any of you watch the new trailer of Dhoom 2? Hrithik look Yuck!
