Chapter 11

 She wanted to cry and scream because she had seen something that had felt real. She seemed to have happiness even temporally in dreams. How would she approach him? Would just walking in and telling  him that she had the surreal experience of them being married melt his heart? She knew one thing was that she could never love again after Abhimanyu Modi. It was only him that could have ever given the love she had always longed for. Why had it taken her ten days to snap out of the coma?

She was more crushed because it seemed real but the fact that she was under that facade  just added to her pain. In actuality she was far from having what she had during the coma. However she knew she had to make things right. Abhimanyu Modi had fallen for her once before when she hadn't really tried to win him over. Now Nikita Malhotra had to win him over with her charm and her courage.

 Riddhima and Muskaan decided to let Nikita  enter Abhimanyu's office alone. After all this was her fight and others had already interfered enough. Nikita sighed heavily. She had just  awakened from a shattered dream and now all she wanted was to make a better reality as her future to make  up for it.

She knocked on the door.

" Come in," he stated firmly..

She entered to see him engrossed in some paperwork. Texts and reports of various cases were spread out nearby. There must have been some interesting case in the past few days for him to be so focused.

Abhimanyu realizes the person  who entered had not said a word to him yet. He looked up in astonishment to see Nikita standing in front of him. She wore the yellow hospital pajamas with her hair strewn around her  shoulders. He had never  expected  for her to simply walk into his office like this after  waking up. He had not known what to expect. He had researched on what could be causing her so long to wake up. He got up from his chair as he  tried to comprehend  how all this had been possible.

" Nikki tum yahan? You should be in  your room. I mean  we should move  you to a regular room after we observe  you tonight," he stated.

" Before you do anything Abhi, I have something to say," she stated.

He stood frozen. He must have really hurt her kicking her out of his flat that late at night. Perhaps her accident was his fault.

" I should have spoken much earlier  on your behalf. I do love  you. I appreciate  you saving my life despite the fact I was such a  coward," she stated.

Her eyes were directed at her feet and he stood there motionlessly as it all sunk in.

" Nikita you had us really scared,  You coded twice during surgery," he stated.

 She looked at him surprised.

" Were you the surgeon?," she exclaimed.

" Main toh bus..," he trailed off.

There was  so much he wanted to tell her. He wanted to spend time with her.  He had felt him by her side encouraging him to do the surgery. She wanted  him to do it for himself not just to possibly saving her life. However  fact remained she had just awakened from a coma. He  hoped this wasn't just a temporary arise of feelings. It was best to get her to her room for now.

" Nikita we'll  talk later.  Right now I need to get you back  before Sister Lovely calls a Code Grey," he insisted.

 She nodded. He came over and started to guide her out of the room. He  was relieved  to not see any of her friends outside his door as he  guided her towards an empty wheelchair, that he had indicated for the peon to bring over. He seated her there and then  wheeled her quickly to her room.

He quickly had Sister Lovely take her blood pressure and to keep a watchful eye on Nikita for a few hours.

"Inform me of any updates to Dr, Nikita's status. The time does not matter. Please inform this to your relieving nurse at next shift," he stated.

He then made sure Nikita was in her bed. He had the impulse to kiss her forehead but he knew this wasn't the time or place.
