Prachi looks at him with her mouth open, Neev runs away and Prachi chases him.
Part 9
The weekend comes and its time for the party, lets see what's happening in the Khanna Mansion. Angad is searching for a suitable outfit in his cupboard, Kripa is sitting by the mirror putting her earrings on, Angad sighs and looks at Kripa
A - Kripa
K - yeah?
A - I can't find anything to wear
Kripa stands up and faces Angad, she peeks into his cupboard
K - this many clothes and you can't find anything? oh well gives me a reason to give this to you them
A - what?
Kripa goes to her cupboard and pulls out a new black Kripa Fashions suit and hands it to Angad
A - when did you get this?
K - I designed it and had it made, I was going to surprise you but I guess you can have it now
Angad smiles and hugs Kripa
A - you're the best, ok so what shirt shall I wear with this?
K - that black one....and that pink tie, you'll look gorgeous
Angad agrees and puts the shirt and trousers on, Kripa helps him with his tie then puts the jacket on him (imagine IQ at SPA
) Kripa then picks up her long black dress and takes it to the bathroom to get changed.

Kripa gets changed and meets Angad downstairs, he is mesmerised by looking at her, he takes her into his arms
A - you know if this wasn't an important party, I would have suggested we stayed home
K - we still can
A - yeah......maybe next time, we'll have our fun when we get home
Angad kisses Kripa's cheek then leads her outside to their car. Meanwhile at the Nanda house Anjali is still in the bathroom, Kavya knocks on the door
Ka - how long will you be?
An - don't know why?
Ka - we're going to be late
An - lets just stay home
Ka - nice try, hurry up
Kavya goes into their room and puts on his jacket, he looks at himself in the mirror and admires his new dark grey suit with his purple shirt which Anjali had insisted he wore, Kavya gets startled when Anjali speaks
An - looking hot, told you the purple shirt will match
Ka - yeah and wow that dress is looking hot on you too
Anjali smiles at Kavya and joins him in standing in front of the mirror, anyone could tell they were a couple as most of the time they tend to match with each other like today, Anjali wears a purple dress to match Kavya's shirt
Ka - shall we go princess?
An - sure
Kavya and Anjali leave the house and get into the car to go to the party. Neev and Prachi are already at the party, well they would be since it was Neev who organised the party, he is running around making sure everyhting is ok. Prachi, who is wearing a white saree, is sitting at one of the tables, Neev, wearing a white suit with a white shirt and black tie, comes to her
N - jaan what's wrong?
P - just bored
N - I have an idea, why don't you help clean the tables, I mean you could pass off for a waitress
Prachi smacks Neev's arm, he pretends to get hurt badly, Prachi kisses his cheek
P - when will the party finish?
N - let it start first
P - fine
Neev glances at the door and spots the press and various other guests
N - I'll be right back
Neev tends to the press and the guests, Prachi makes herself useful and makes sure things are going smoothly with the valet parking, it is there she sees Angad and Kripa arrive, Prachi smiles politely after all she is the host
P - welcome Mr Khanna, Mrs Khanna
A - thank you Mrs Kapoor, where's Neev?
P - he's inside
A - come Kripa
Prachi steps aside and Angad and Kripa go forward to go inside, Prachi holds Kripa's arm, Kripa looks at her then at Angad
K - you go, I'll join you
A - ok
Angad smiles and goes inside, Kripa faces Prachi, both are silent first until Prachi speaks
P - you look nice
K - ...thanks, so do you
P - how have you been? still designing?
K - I've been good, and I have my own shop now, what about you?
P - working with Neev in the business.
K - i see
Kripa and Prachi look everywhere but at each other
K - I better go inside, Angad's waiting
P - ok
Kripa gives a small smile and heads inside, Prachi is about to go inside aswell when she sees Anjali and Kavya, Kavya comes up to her
Ka - Mrs Kapoor how are you?
P - welcome Mr Nanda...Mrs Nanda and i'm fine thank you.
Ka - has Angad arrived?
P - yes, he's inside
Kavya walks ahead inside leaving Anjali alone with Prachi. Anjali gives a faint smile
An - how are you?
P - good, you?
An - good
P - we should go inside, they're going to make the announcement soon
An - sure
Prachi and Anjali go inside, Anjali stands by Kavya while Prachi stands by Neev. Prachi looks at Kripa who is by Angad, although the husbands are very chatty with each other, the wives are very quiet.
A - so shall we make the announcement?
N - sure, come Kavya
Ka - ok
The guys leave the girls with each other, the three girls look at the centre stage where the guys are now standing
N - ladies and gentlemen, thank you for attending this party tonight. Many of you are very familiar with myself, Mr Khanna and Mr Nanda but what many of you don't know is that we have decided to work together on Mr Khanna's next project
The guests clap, Neev hands the microphone to Angad
A - as some of you know I have been hunting for suitable partners to work with and well I found Mr Kapoor and Mr Nanda and I am sure this project will benefit each of us , Kavya...
Angad hands the microphone to Kavya
Ka - well I guess you both have covered everything, the only thing I can say is have a good time and do enjoy yourselves.
The guys leave the stage and go to their wives
K - this party needs livening up
A - I agree, what say guys? lets celebrate our merger with some song and dance?
N - yeah definately, come Prachi
P - sure
Ka - count us in too
An - yeah
Angad, Neev and Kavya followed by the girls go to the dance floor, Kripa begins to sing Woh Ajnabee from The Train

The music continues and the three couples dance together, by the end of the song Kripa, Anjali and Prachi are smiling and laughing with each other, they haven't had this much fun since back when they were friends. Unknowingly and to the surprise of their husbands the three girls hug each other
K - that was so much fun!
P - yeah it was! I'm so hyper, Anju aren't you?
An - yeah that was so cool
The girls realise that they are hugging and move away from each other then walk away, their husbands look at them walking and look at each other
A - ok what happened there?
N - beats me, I have a feeling our wives are friends
Ka - or were friends, don't you remember how they reacted when they first saw each other
A - that's it, I'm getting answers
N - me too
Ka - and me
The husbands agree to talk to their wives and find out what the problem is. They all go towards their wives and demand to know their history. The girls agree to tell them at home
coming up - Angad's, Neev's and Kavya's reaction upon hearing about their wives past. Will it bring problems into the merger?
