A - I didn't want him to but I had no choice

K - its ok

A - I think he's learnt his lesson...he knows not to trouble us anymore, and I have a sneaky feeling, Gayatri aunty will allow us to get married

K - I hope so....you didn't get hurt did you?

A - no just a few scratches thats all. Now stop talking and save your energy and have your soup

 

Kripa smiles and obeys him, Gayatri smiles while watching from the door.

 

Angad stayed at the hospital the whole day taking care of Kripa, he wouldn't even let the nurses change her bed sheets, he would insisit on doing it himself, but the only times he left the room were when Kripa was getting changed or when the doctors were doing her check up and even then he was forced to leave

 

A - come on Kripa, there's only a bit left

K - but I hate hospital food, can't you get me some hamburgers from McDonalds?

A - no, they're not allowed now shut up and eat

K - fine

 

Kripa ate the rest of her food and folded her arms

 

K - how long do I have to stay here for?

A - a few more days Kripa, not long now

K - but I'm so bored....and what happened to our Figi plans?

A - they can wait, just get better first

 

There's a knock on the door, Angad turns and sees Naina and Dilip, they come inside and hug Kripa, Naina hands her some flowers

 

K - thanks aunty

A - here's I'll put them in a vase

 

Kripa handed him the flowers, Angad left the room to find a vase while Naina and Dilip sat with Kripa

 

D - how are you feeling?

K - very bad

D - what? why?

K - I hate the hospital food, I hate the hospital smell, I hate the hospital

 

Dilip and Naina laughed

 

N - well you'll be out soon, don't worry sweetie

K - thanks aunty, how's everyone else?

N - good, kept fighting about who was going to come and see you, in the end we decided to leave them all at home

K - how mean aunty, I could have done with someone other than bossy boots

A - I heard that

 

Angad put the vase down and sat on the other side of Kripa

 

A - I'm not a bossy boots, I just want you to get better

K - well you can be nicer

A - I am nice!

K - right and who was yelling at me to have my soup?

A - well you need the energy

K - whatever

N - ok ok you two cut it out, you're worse than me and Dilip

D - hey we don't fight that much

A - dad who you trying to kid? we all know how much you guys argue

D - Angad

A - sorry dad

 

Kripa sat up and smiled as Gayatri came into the room

 

K - mama come sit

G - there's enough people here, I'll come back later

N - no no we were just leaving

D - yeah, you stay with Kripa, and Angad go home and have some rest, you've been here non stop

A - but...

N - no buts Angad, come on

 

Angad frowned and kissed Kripa's cheek and gave Gayatri a small hug and left with his parents

 

G - nice boy

K - of course mom, did you ever doubt my taste?

G - you did want to marry Prithvi first

K - ok I made a mistake there....but not with Angad

G - I can see that, don't worry about anything, and there's no need for you to run away with him

K - and why not?

G - because, I'll make sure you marry him

K - and what about dad?

G - your dad won't say anything now

K - really? why is that?

G - just take my word for it, as soon as you get better we will go to Angad's house and talk to his parents

K - ok mama as you say

 

Kripa kissed her cheek and lay down to rest. Kripa was discharged a few days later, as soon as she steps out of the hospital she takes a deep breath

 

K - ahhhh fresh air

 

She sat in the car with her parents as the drove to go home

 

K - mama, can we go to Angad's house?

G - now?

K - no time like the present

G - ok, Surya, take us to Angad's house

Su - I'm not a taxi driver, you can ask me

G - fine, Surya can you drive us to Angad's house?

Su - fine 

 

Surya drives them to Angad's house and reluctantly goes inside with them, Angad sees Kripa and gets angry

 

A - what are you doing here?

K - we came to...

A - I don't care, go home and rest now

K - but we're here to...

A - Kripa don't make me carry you outside

K - will you shut up?

A - huh?

K - mum and dad want to talk to your parents about our marriage.....but if you want me to go home then ok...

 

Kripa turns to leave but Angad pulls her back

 

A - why didn't you say so first?

K - like I had a chance, now move

 

Kripa pushes him out of the way and greets everyone else, she then sits patiently as their parents discuss the marriage, Angad comes and sits next to her

 

A - what changed your dad's mind?

K - seriously.....I don't know, I think it was mum

A - ok...and what about your brother?

K - he won't say anything if dad agrees

A - good

K - good

 

Angad smiles and tries to hold her hand but Kripa keeps shaking him off

 

K - stop it

A - you stop it

K - I'm not doing anything!

A - you are! you're stopping me from holding your hand

K - you're impossible

A - then don't marry me

K - fine, I won't

A - good

K - great!

 

Kripa smiles at him and looks at Gayatri

 

K - mama...

A - what are you doing?

K - telling her to forget about the marriage

A - what? shut up ok

K - but you said....

A - just shut up

 

Kripa grinned to herself while looking at Angad's angry expression, she leaned forward and quickly kissed his cheek

 

K - you look cute when you're angry

 

Angad's angry expression quickly changed into a huge grin which caught the attention of the guys

 

L - bro....why you so happy for?

A - happy and me?

Ka - yeah you look as if you just won the lottery

 

Angad glances at Kripa

 

A - maybe I have

 

Kripa blushes, she looks up to see Surya hugging Dilip and Gayatri hugging Naina, she nudges Angad

 

K - I think....

A - you shouldn't do that

K - huh? be quiet Angad, as I was saying, I think...

A - stop doing that

K - Angad I swear I will smack you

 

Angad smiles

 

K - I think....

A - Kripa!!!

 

Angad yells as Kripa smacks his arm, everyone looks at him and he just quietly sits back down holding his arm

 

K - you asked for it

A - continue.....

K - I think...

 

Kripa glances at Angad

 

K - ....the marriage is fixed

A - really? what gave that away? oh maybe our parents hugging? you know you're really dumb sometimes

K - Angad run before I hit you again

A - try it

 

Kripa smacks his arm again but frowns as she sees Lakshya holding his arm and Angad standing up with a smile on his face

 

L - what the heck Kripa! what was that for?

K - sorry Lakshya.....blame your brother

 

Kripa glares at Angad who just blows her a kiss. Angad then hugs Surya and Gayatri while Kripa hugs Dilip and Naina, as they're about to leave, Kripa takes Angad to one side and hugs him

 

K - and for future refrences, if you be stupid like that again, I won't think twice before hitting you

A - there you go again with the thinking

 

Kripa opened her mouth to say something but was stopped as Angad put his lips on hers and shut her up, he pulled away as her cheeks went red and smiled to himself, Kripa continued to blush as she left Angad's house, he smiled watching her leave.
