Part 16 – the Bus ride
Manthan wondered where Nisha had suddenly disappeared, he had called her several times but she didn't seem to hear him. He sauntered his way to Archita's bedroom and knocked on the door. Isha appeared on the doorway.
M: Oh, umm tumhe pata hai Nisha…?
I: Oh, di college gayi hai…She has some big presentation so she had to go early to set up for it.
M: Par mujhe baataya tak naahin?
Manthan wondered how Nisha could just leave so abruptly, without informing him. He saw Isha was looking at him curiously, as if she had some special x-ray vision goggles that she could use to penetrate through Manthan's brain and read his thoughts. He quickly decided to leave before she could actually read his thoughts!
M: Umm thanks-
With that thank you, Manthan rushed into his room and got his jacket and bike keys. He would go early to college too. He sped his ways across the roads and was surprised to see Nisha still waiting at a bus stop. He was about to wave at her but the bus appeared and she got in. Manthan locked his bike and ran after the bus. After a few minutes of consecutive running, he finally got on the bus. But now, he faced a challenge of getting through the bus to where Nisha was sitting. This meant passing the packed bus and trying to escape the eye of the conductor as he didn't have a ticket. God, Manthan thought to himself, if anyone had seen him- Manthan Virani - traveling in a bus, they would be in for the shock of their life.
Nisha felt a little bad for leaving without telling Manthan, but let's face it, they had no relation besides the fact that she was her tutor and he was her student. As she got on the bus, and on a seat, she noticed *The Pathetic Boys* that were usually at her sister's shows. Disgusted, she turned her face around to the window even though she didn't have the window seat. Suddenly on of the boys put his hands on her shoulder.
N: Excuse me?
The Pathetic Boy: Sorry madam, haath fisal gaya…
Nisha gave the buy a look saying "disgusting" and moved a little closer to the lady beside her, who had occupied the window seat. The Pathetic Boys were still staring at her. They were apparently giggling within themselves at an inside joke. Nisha couldn't do anything but wait for her stop. Suddenly, she felt a warm hand on her shoulder again, but this time, the hand grabbed her dupatta making it fall down. This was when Manthan finally reached Nisha. He bent down to get the duppata and wrapped it around Nisha and turned to face The Pathetic Boys. Manthan was not one that wasted time in talking; he lifted his arm and was about to punch the boy, that had grabbed Nisha's dupatta, right in the stomach.
N: Manthan!
Nisha clearly didn't want to create a scene here. She looked at Manthan's red face. It was filled with anger and his eyes had nothing more than hatred. Nisha was a little scared by this Manthan. Manthan lowered his arm and pushed the guy over so he would land back on his seat.
M: Chalo Nisha.
Manthan grabbed Nisha hand and pulled her off the bus. He told her to wait right there after getting off the bus, and he ran off somewhere. Nisha, who was absolutely petrified to see Manthan this angry, nodded slightly, not daring to refuse him. She hadn't seen this protective, angry side of Manthan before. She heard a bike's acceleration and realized it was Manthan's bike. As he came, he gently took her hand and helped her on the bike. For Nisha, the bike was not the safest way to get to college.
M: Manth-
N: I don't want to hear anything. Aaj se tum mere saath college gao gi
N: Par-
M: Mujhe kuch par-war naahin suna. Aaj jo bhi hua, woh phir se naahin hona chaiye. Tumhe koi dard pochaye, mujhse bardaasht naahin hota…
That should be long enough...hopefully...sorry guys but I'm not able to update as fast as last week I'm a little busy so sorry...
