Part 13- Subha Subha
Eklavya slowly walked his way up to Archita's room. Even though Nisha had repeatedly told him that waking up Isha was like expecting pig's to fly, Eklavya wanted to wake up Isha himself. After all, how hard was it to wake up a girl? Everyone in the house was awake now. He knocked on the door. Nobody replied. He tried again, without any luck. Finally, he pushed the door open. He looked at the girl lying on the bed resting like Sleeping Beauty. He looked at her sleeping in peace and couldn't help but smile at her innocence. He moved towards her and sat beside her on the bed. He went up close to her thinking of how to wake her up. He shook her to try to wake her up.
E: Isha, utho!
I: hmmm
Nisha, who was taking coffee to Manthan, stopped to smile at Eklavya's attempts on waking her twin sister up.
N: Woh naahin uthe gi, Eklavya, aap chodiye, she'll wake up by herself in an hour or so. Maharani needs her "beauty sleep"
E: Ab kinti beauty sleep chaiye? She already so beau-
Eklavya was about to finish his sentence but quickly stopped as he saw Nisha's raised eyebrows.
E: I mean, she already had enough beauty sleep. Don't worry, I'll wake her up.
Nisha shook her head at him and watched him curiously to see if his ways would work. After all, if he was successful in waking Isha up, she would have to take lessons from him to wake up Isha every morning.
Eklavya continued to try different ways to wake her up. He took a few drops of water from the washroom and sprinkled them on her. She just scrunched her face up and went right back to sleeping like Kumbhkaran. He tried turning on an alarm clock with no success. Isha just slept like a groundhog. He tried everything he could think of but she just said "hmmm" and went back to sleep. Eklavya was beginning to see why Nisha called Isha a maharani. She clearly slept like one. Eklavya was about to give up when Isha budged a bit on Archita's bed. Eklavya looked at her curiously expecting her to wake up after all his attempts. Of course, she was just moving in her sleep, she wasn't waking up.
E: Isha, come on! Don't give me that look, Nisha…I'll wake her up-
N: Yea, by the time you do that, the coffee's going to get cold. But you keep trying. You never know, she might wake up…by tomorrow!
With that, Nisha left laughing leaving Eklavya and his hopeless attempts to wake up Isha. Eklavya, who was always very persistent, was about to give up now. Suddenly Isha moved again, this time mistakenly moving her hair on her right cheek. Eklavya didn't know what stroke him but he was caught off guard. He brought his face closer to hers so that they were inches away. He took his hand and moved her hair away from her cheek. He leaned in closer and gave a swift kiss on her cheek.
E: Good morning, Isha…
I: hmm…
Isha smiled wondering who her dream man was that had just kissed her in her dreams. Abruptly she realized it wasn't a dream. She woke up with a jolt and looked directly into Eklavya's blue eyes.
I: EKLAVYA?!!
