Chapter 4

Part 4- Professor Mehta's tutoring idea and Isha's best friend

Isha sat at the back seat of the class trying not to fall asleep. "Ms.Isha?" a faint voice called her. "Nisha di, sone do na!" Isha replied grumpily. "Isha!" another voice said and someone nudged her in her ribs. "Owww!" Isha woke up. "Kya hai!" she said in a clear voice. "Ms. Isha, what do you think of this equation? Do you think it should be converted in another form or solved the way it is?" Isha started right into Professor Mehta's face. She fumbled with her math book. "Equation # 3" Professor Mehta said, clearly irritated. "uhhh…What page are we on?" Isha asked quietly. In the front seat of the class, Nisha slapped the palm of her hand against her forehead. The whole class roared with laughter. "Silence!" the professor said. "Next time, you should pay attention miss." the professor told her raising her eyebrows. Isha nodded slightly, blushing frantically. The bell rang. "Saved by the bell" the boy next to her said. "Hamesha ki tarah!" She smiled at the boy, Lakshya, her best friend. Isha motioned her sister to leave without her. Nisha, frustrated, shot her a look that said "wait until you get home!"
"Ek minute class!" the professor surprised everyone. "There are many of you that don't attend the classes or sleep during the classes-", Professor Mehta shot a brief glance at Isha. "And most of those students don't bother to ask for help from us Professors. Therefore, we, the professors, have decided to start a tutoring system with every class. So the students that need help in this class will be able to get help from their peers." She paused and smiled admiring her own idea. Realizing her that everyone was staring at her she quickly said, "Oh, yes, class dismissed! But Ms. Nisha, I have to talk to you about something." Nisha looked up, horrified.
She hadn't done anything wrong and neither had she failed to submit an assignment or project so what did Professor Mehta wanted from her. She looked anxiously at her sister's seat but she had already left with her friend. "Now Nisha, I know that you are the brightest student in our class right now and I'm going to assign you a student that I think needs help. Based on the students results after, we will see if this system is successful or not." Professor Mehta told her. Nisha was thoroughly confused. So she wasn't in trouble but what was Professor Mehta talking about? Looking at the questioning look on her face, Professor Mehta said, "I know that you tutor little kids for money so I thought I should start my tutoring idea with you because you've already tutored before and this way you can finish your *community involvement hours* as well." Nisha looked up wondering how she could refuse a professor. "Well, I guess I could-" she started."Well that's that then! Aap yahaan third period aana and I'll send your "student" their today too!" Professor Mehta said excitedly and left the room leaving Nisha to wonder what on earth had just happened.


I'm not so sure if im going to continue this any longer because I wanted Eklavya nice and not with KT but right now thats how the story is going. I think he's falling for her. If that does happen, I'll probably just stop.
