Chapter 18:
"Anything you need Cadet?" Dr. Shalini asked Yudi coming out of her quarters wearing - {Click here}. He was stunned at the sight for a moment, earning a smack on the arm from Shalini.
"Sorry Ma'am, but you're really looking beautiful." He said sincerely with a smile. "And I just wanted to make sure that you're feeling better now; you weren't looking so well back at the infirmary." She smiled and gave an appraising look at his choice in clothing - (left) {Click here}.
"I'm fine Cadet, no need to worry. It's just a cold. And you're not looking bad at all yourself! Where's Orni? I thought I heard her voice a while ago; isn't she your date tonight?"
"Thank you Ma'am. Yeah, she was here... she's gone to help Neelu out with something."
"Neelu? Is she OK? She should be taking care of herself and her baby a lot more than before now... tell Cadet Sharma to make sure that she doesn't drink!" A groan from nearby interrupted the conversation. Aalekh was heading towards the hall in his formal attire - {Click here} when he heard Neelu's name, and decided to eavesdrop. Shalini looked at him questioningly while Yudi tried to decide whether he should laugh or pity him. He chose the latter.
"How am I going to tell such an independent and strong-minded girl not to do something she loves?" Aalekh asked as an explanation.
"It might be difficult at first, but trust me; she'll listen at some point after arguing. She's not as irresponsible as you think! Or else the child and the mother wouldn't have been as healthy as they were when I last checked up on them." Shalini gave him a reassuring smile. He looked a bit less anxious and managed to relax.
"We should go now; the girls said they'd be late... Neelu and Orni I mean. Some problem with the dress or make-up or something!" he said rolling his eyes. Yudi and Shalini laughed lightly at his expression and proceeded towards the hall.

Pooja knocked on her husband's door impatiently for the third time. She was about to do so again when the door opened. Seeing her hand rising, Ali said, "I've been taught that you should knock three times maximum." Her irritation vanished hearing this and she smiled. Pushing him in along with herself, she closed the door.
"Haven't you been taught to compliment a girl when she looks beautiful?" She asked in a fake indignant tone.
"Compliments are for outsiders Pooja; for your own people, love is more enough. You know that I love you... and to me, no one else could be more beautiful then you! Plus, you always look beautiful."
"I love you too my Usool! And not even Shahrukh can beat you in looks right now in my view!" Ali had truly been transformed by Huda, Aalekh and Yudi in the suit his wife had chosen for him the night before - {Click here}. "Lets go, or else we'll be late for the Ball!"
"And the mission!" Ali reminded her. They left the room arms linked with her head resting slightly on his shoulder. Everyone they passed by had at some point a similar thought; what a beautiful couple!

"Ready Ms. Virani?" Abhimanyu said holding out his arm for the striking woman beside him, wearing - {Click here}, while looking charming himself in - {Click here}.
"Of course Chauhan Saab!" she said, linking her arm to his. "So... what do you think the Ball has in store for this evening? I'm hoping a bunch of hook-ups, dancing, awesome music and a whole lot of masti till the night ends!"
"No wonder you ended up in our group... even after all the ruckus earlier you"re hoping for more action!" Abhimanyu commented with a laugh. Nandini grinned at him and pretended to lift an imaginary collar up smartly.
"Well, I am Nandini Virani, from the family of Virani's known for being fun-loving and active! I don't get how my dad is a businessman with those qualities though..."
"OK don't start with your family details now... if you want to experience any of the masti tonight, which won't be much since this is a formal event, we better be going. Come on." They left for the hall, Nandini not losing even a bit of the enthusiasm and looking forward to the Ball. If it was low on the fun meter, what use was she of? She'd managed to turn their respectable Graduation Ball into a full-on youngsters' party; it wouldn't be tricky this time for her!RJOpal 39293.0973958333
