EPISODE-20

 

 

Naina stayed back in Srinagar looking after Rajveer. A week later his plaster was cut and he was discharged. His hand wasn't in a too good condition but his only concern at that point of time was Navin. They had to leave for Delhi. But before going to Delhi Rajveer decided to meet Neetika at Phagwara. Neetika felt much better after meeting Rajveer. They decided to stay back for the night. It was around midnight when Neetika saw Rajveer in the living room.

"Raj tum soye nahin abhi tak? Tumhe subah-subah nikalna hai."

"Nahin...bas woh..." he looked restless.

"Navin ki fikr ho rahi hai...haina?"

"Yeah...Naina so gayi?"

"Haan. Tum kuch baat karna chahte the na?"

"Ammm....nahin woh...main..."

"Oh come on Raj...I know that. Tum Naina ke saamne Navin ke baare mein baat nahin karna chahte the. But right now she is sleeping and I know you want to talk."

"Actually you are right. Naina bahut dari hui hai. Uske saamne Navin ke bare mein baat karne ki himmat nahin hoti."

"I know."

"Neeti... we can't deny ki.... Navin might just not come back."

"I really hope nothing like that happens."

"I hope so too. Tum Navin se last time kab mili thi?"

"Around a week before his transfer at Pulwama. Main leave pe Pathankot gayi thi. Waise ek baat poochon?"

"Kya?"

"Tum karne kya waale ho? I mean how are you gonna find Navin?"

"To tell you the truth even I don't know. Maine Naina ko promise to kar diya hai ki I'll find him out but samajh mein nahin aata kya karoon."

"Don't worry Raj. Where there is a will there's a way.  You are the last hope Raj."

Rajveer looked at Neetika. He has always known her as a very strong person. But today she wasn't the same Neetika. She looked weak and emotionally drained out.

"Tumhare liye bhi Navin ke missing hone ki news utni hi shocking thi jitni Naina ke liye but you couldn't even say that kyunki tumhare upar Naina aur Uncle-Aunty ki bhi responsibility hai. I can understand Neeti what you are going through."

"No Raj.... You can not understand."

Rajveer looked at her in surprise. Her eyes were moist....she was so close to tears.

"Neeti is everything alright?"

She shook her head in no.

"Kya hua...Tell me."

She was quiet. She was struggling very hard to control her tears.

"Neeti say something"

"Raj I know right now tum pe bahut zyada pressure hai Navin ko dhoondhne ka but..."

"But what?"

"You'll have to bring him back to me Raj.... at any cost....I m counting on you completely."

"Neeti please tell me whats the matter."

She looked at him for a while....without answering him. Then she turned away her face.Her eyes were closed tightly  as she answered, "I am pregnant....."
