Hi all - sorry for the delay in this I’m on holiday so taking a break from day to day life but I did write this.
Hope you like it.
(You’ll need to have read the last two for this to make and sense)
The I won’t do it ever again flower
Prerna was distinctly more bashful around Rishabh this morning whilst quietly aloof at George and it showed in every little moment thus far in the day.
She seemed to avoid Rishabhs eyes where possible. The thought of him knowing the contents of her letters and choosing to tease her at any moment embarrassed her even though it was yet to occur and might never.
“Is there anything I can do to help that frown of yours?” Asked Rishabh as he walked out of the room. She didn’t know she was wearing a frown but it wasn’t surprising given how she was feeling.
She mumbled under her breath as she followed him down the stairs and denied saying a word when he raised a eyebrow.
..
“The usual ?”
Asked George with a smile as both Mr and Mrs Bajaj approached the breakfast table.
“I’ll get my own breakfast thank you” replied Prerna unusually before making her way off into the kitchen.
George waited till Prerna stepped out of site before whispering quietly.
“Is Mrs Bajaj mad at me Sir, about the letters ? Asked George looking very uncomfortable.
“I wouldn’t worry about it, She’ll thank you later” replied Rishabh as he flicked open the paper and sat back in his chair.
Mr Bajaj may have had a way with women but George heaven knows was rubbish at putting his foot into things and causing all sorts of quarrels. One only had to ask his wife Mrs Green to know.
George was not at all sure it would be okay “ I’ve never seen Mrs Bajaj so angry i should apologise” he speculated worriedly. Rishabh just raised his eyes at how sensitive the souls around him were. The only one not so much was probably Kuki, she was more practical well most of the time anyway.
George was certainly tried his best to make a gesture of reconciliation. He bought to the table coffee just way Prern liked it but got a “No thank you”,
Later her favourite breakfast dish,
But even that didn’t go down well “No thank you” she said once again.
Watching the ongoings from under his paper Rishabh knew he had to do something to break up the quarrel.
“Urhum”
He cleared his throat after folding the newspaper and putting it down on the table.
You’re excused George thank you
He said first and foremost smiling at George warmly then moving his eyes to Prerna.
“‘ Mr Mehra is on leave today so I will be needing your help” he said intentionally wanting to create some space between Prerna and George.
“I was hoping to work from home today” replied Prerna making it more difficult then he hoped.
“I’ll join you” he said with a smile watching Prernas frown still very much on her face. She was obviously hoping to aviod the world it it’s entirety but at home she was sure to bump into George. If he couldn’t create physical distant between Prerna and George he could at least mediate and distract. Doing nothing for everything to suddenly boil over was out of the question. He’d seen that go wrong too many times. Between himself and mahesh, the girls and even with Prerna.
..
They used the more quieter potion of the lounge each taking their own chair and In the centre of them sat a coffee table with paperwork.
Rishabh could feel a unspoken concern in prerna over those letters mixed in with her anger at George of course. It brewed silently as she seemed not ready to speak about it. Rishabh decided he wasn’t going to force the matter.
He distracted her with work and in time they were in working rhythm.
Rishabh spoke and Prerna typed, later Prerna dictated and Rishabh typed and so on.
It was now Prernas turn to note take but Rishabh paused when he realised Prerna seemed distracted.
She seemed to be staring out towards the window at the rain.
Rishabh smiled as he thought back to one of her letters.
“Let’s take a break, I’ll be back in a minute”
She heard him say breaking her daze. She nodded watching him rise from his seat.. walk towards the windows and pull them open to let some air in and of course the sound of crisp but soothing rain fall.
“Coffee?” He said as he turned to her from the window.
She nodded, “No thank you” and watched him walk away.
..
A little later when Rishabh returned with his drink Prerna was no longer in the lounge. She was however out in the rain. His eyes sparkled just that little bit along with a smile as he watched his wife looking carefree, and happy twirling around under rainfall.
Finally a smile he thought.
Taking his time with the coffee to give her the slime time she needed Rishabh watched in a daze of his own.
Had he known this years ago he would have picked her up and put her outside every time they’d have a disagreement. Chuckling to himself he continued to watch his wife’s attire slowly became more and more transparent and clinging to her figure somewhat. He allowed himself the view with a promise that he would soon collect her.
For now he was content in watching his beautiful, happy, rather innocent wife. - And then it suddenly started to rain heavier.
…..
“You’ll catch a cold” She heard Rishabh say ..
When she turned her face to the side she saw Rishabh stood beside her under a umbrella
“ Isn’t it nice Mr Bajaj?” She asked with the most excited eyes and genuine smile he couldn’t do but agree.
“It is” he smiled and then all of a sudden a gust of wind struck and blew away his umbrella. He heard Prerna giggle and her laughter was infectious enough to make him laugh too.
Taking a second to draw his hair back Rishabh stood for a moment along side Prerna to feel what it was that his wife and daughter adored so much about the rain. Even if he could not relate which she thought he did at least that tiny bit she was happy that he was at least alongside her in such a moment.
Only a moment mind you before Rishabh took Prerna into his arms in one swift motion and walked her back into the house.
..
He looked ever so handsome this way thought Prerna as she watched Rishabh carry her up the staircase. “You left me on purpose didn’t you?” she asked.
“Maybe” he replied which made Prerna smile. Maybe Mr Bajaj having read her letters wasn’t such a bad thing after all.
He was ever so discreet about what he knew that it made her feel no different.
Rishabh put Prerna down into the shower turned on the warm water and waited a moment.
She knew Mr Bajaj was debating whether he make love to or not and when he gave into his fancy and stepped closer she couldn’t hide her smile and that was enough for Rishabh to have his way.
….
Later as Prerna lay rested contently in Rishabhs arms she’d been reflecting more then resting. When Rishabh felt her move away put on her dressing gown and tip toe away he wasn’t surprised.
He lay there pretending to have not noticed.
If Prerna was leaving the room to walk down the stairs which she was she was likely looking for George.
He’d give it a few minutes and if he heard pots and pans being hurled he’d do something about it.
…
There was too much rain to do any gardening on a afternoon like this so George sat In the kitchen tending to one of the small house plants.
Trying to see all the details of each leaf and stem under his half moon glasses before he trimmed them in just the right way so they’d grow healthier and strong.
“Mrs Bajaj” He said when he looked up from his work at the sound of footsteps.
Maybe she was here to give him a telling off he thought and braced himself.
When there was just silence George tried to fill it with what he knew best.
“A cup of tea perhaps He spoke sweetly with the little sparkle his eyes carried even amongst his remorse for upsetting her.
Prerna agreed, she’d love nothing more.
After putting a cup down for her George instantly remembered something.
“I have something for you.”
Prerna watched him walk to the corner of the kitchen come back with something behind his back. It was a flower which he presented ever so sweetly to her. A little bit like a white orchid but not quiet.
“I call it the I won’t do it again flower”
He smiled as he posed the flower towards her to take. It’s something I give to Mary when I’ve made a blunder. To say sorry.”
He spoke gently and sweetly.
Prernas heart flurried.
“Oh George I’m sorry ! She said suprising him with eyes turning all cotton wool like.
“I want you to carry on doing all those little things you do”
“Even something like giving away your letters?” George asked confused.
Prerna nodded
For the first time all day she saw George’s smile along with his truly rosey cheeks and she flew at him to give him the biggest hug.
“Oh Mrs Bajaj” Said George feeling a little
unexpectedly squished but relieved.
..
A little later as they sipped tea together ..
“He is the man I wrote to George she paused to look at him and he at her before adding .. Mr Bajaj”
George smiled
“I knew it all along” replied George wisely.

Absolutely love this moment. You make everything RB does seem so sensual 🥵. I swear my temperature rises when reading his parts 🙈 it's a warm feeling like the emotions you feel when listening to a great love song 😍 this is exactly how I expect RB to be smart, elegant, badass but a true, subtle romantic at heart 🥰 it's amazing that you are still writing moments without any inspiration 👏 thank you & i can't wait for the next 😍

Information is power...and Rishabh Bajaj knows how to weild power with ease....I didn't expect anything less from him from the start of this letters moment...the way the letters reached him and the way he reflected on each and every one of those letters while reading and trying to relate them to their life was so like the way he internalises the Information given to him and use that knowledge to his advantage...in this case the advantage being Prerna's happiness and smile....absolutely loved the way he tried to do something that gives joy to Prerna and found joy in it....and all through this moment the role of George is unparalleled...he's reminded me of a doting grandfather who does anything to see his kids be happy in life....such a darling he is! Such a lovely long moment...Thanks for this gem❤️
