Hello my lovelies!! So it's been a minute since I sat down and wrote something,

I wanted to take a moment and thank each and everyone who had voted, viewed and left your wonderful comments on all the stories. I got into reading my old stories which prompted this small poem based on Asya's love story.

This poetry is from Zoya's point of view and what some of her thoughts might be when falling in love with Asad. It is not based on any particular episode nor you need to have watched the show to understand. That being said, I hope you enjoy this!

Happy Reading

--------------------------------------------------AN ASYA POEM - NOT A LOVE -------------------------------------------------

Not a love…

How did she end up here,

what gamble played her life?

He was meant to be a tender art,

instead she got a leather heart.

It was rugged, rough, harsh and bleak,

and now her babbly mouth could hardly speak.

Infinite visions of sunrises, sunsets,

adventures and miseries…

yet this love somehow excluded her peripheries.

But here she was, handcuffed to fate,

where her knight refused to mate.

Inadvertently, she drew him in her life,

disregarding all limits of drawing a line.

Soon her life would be upside-down upswing,

like an unstoppable ferris-wheel running.

The intimacy of being misunderstood,

she’d see love in all its likelihoods.

Her lover - a mere museum of fear,

she’ll learn

with elapsing seasons they’ll persevere.

The flash of brilliance had just begun,

their starlit universe awakened.

But for now, she’ll pretend it was

not a love, not even a little bit,

actually not at all.

Because how could she end up here?

Tied up with a leather heart.
