Part 2

Sawgadha police station

Abhijeet and Daya were really worried about their careers,never before they have been demoted like this........all because of  one madman........Sudhakar.......... and months passed by.............

(Abhijeet and Daya had a conversation about how they've been biased all these years and Abhijeet says that he is going to seek forgiveness to everyone that he had hurt,after he's been reinstated).....

Their chief was an officer named Vivek ( not Freddy 's junior........the other  Vivek who was present in the case of the stolen gun) and their second-in-command was Patil ( also a character from the old episodes ) Abhijeet didn't know the both of them but Daya remembered working with them but didn't remember why they were demoted in the first place 

Abhijeet and Daya didn't have high profile cases assigned to them like in CID bureau , rather small , insignificant cases which was like rubbing salt over a wound.....

Life was moving slowly until one day.......

Daya  caught a pickpocket red handed but somehow the guy was released from custody. Abhijeet and Daya realised that the police station was headed by not 1.... but 2 dhokebazz,corrupt officers......Vivek and Patil who released criminals in exchange for money

And naturally Abhijeet and Daya started to go through old records of Vivek and Patil and found out  that they were both corrupt during the time they were in CID and then they were demoted to sawgadha

In CID bureau (December 1 2024)

Asha joined as JCP in Mumbai branch under Viren and the first thing she did was to keep an eye on Sudhakar .......which DCP sir asked her to do without telling Viren. Because she was Sudhakar's old colleague and no one understood Sudhakar better than her and Freddy, DCP sir had asked Asha to keep tabs on Sudhakar without anyone's knowledge

When she asked Freddy about what was going on...... Freddy's answer suprised her.....he said that Sudhakar has changed completely and he didn't  want to talk about that 

Asha decided to stop the spying  and ask Sudhakar directly 

Sudhakar's cabin

Asha; Sudhakar , Why did you do this to Abhijeet and Daya?

Sudhakar; I was just fulfilling my duty

Asha ; "fulfilling your duty , are you kidding me? You did this purely out of spite-"

She stopped abruptly when she saw Sudhakar writting something in the whiteboard which read as "cannot talk here let's meet at DCP sir's office after lunch break don't forget to bring Freddy along with you"

Sudhakar; I was just doing my duty Asha,now leave me alone (and he told her  silently to meet her at dcp's office ") to which Asha nodded and left

Sawgadha station 

Abhijeet ; so yeh Vivek aur Patil dhokebazz Nikal Gaya to ab hum kya karenge? Hain?

Daya; wahi, hamara purana chakkar,unlogon ke khilaf kuch saboot doondthe hain

 At this moment Daya got a call from DCP sir's office who asked them to come over there immediately

DCP sir's office

Abhijeet and Daya arrived there to find Asha,Freddy and Sudhakar already present 

Seeing Sudhakar, Abhijeet and Daya's anger became tenfold if not for DCP sir's stare they would have hurt Sudhakar pretty badly

DCP ; ab batao Sudhakar , yeah sare chakkar kya hai?

Sudhakar; sir pure baat ab bata nahi sakte , mein ab itna Bata sakte ho, jitna mera samaj mein aaraha hain, baat yeah hai ke........

Sudhakar told them that when he was undercover, more than 95% of the gang comprised of criminals who got free,and they were also from the sawgadha area

Sudhakar; isile,mein kuch bhahana doond kar Abhijeet aur Daya Ko sawgadha Bej diya 

DCP ;.to itne kalakari karke kyon beja tumhe-

Sudhakar: sir mein asie hi  Bej nahi Sakta tha sir, aur kuch baat hai jo abhi bata nahin Sakta , sirf mere baatho pe yakin khijie sir please 

DCP ; teek hai, ab kya hona wala hai 

Sudhakar; sir mera khabri se information aaya ki aaj raat Vivek aur Patil mere ghar mein mujhe chakko se vaar karega

DCP ; WHAT? to thume protection-

Sudhakar ; nahin sir agar  protection ho to mera plan pura nahin hoga

Freddy; kaun Vivek-

Sudhakar; Freddy yeh tumara purana junior Vivek nahi

Abhijeet; toh hame kya karna hain?

Sudhakar; mujhe chakko lagne ke Baad Viren sir conclude karega ki tum dono hi mujhe yeh haal kya 

Daya ; phirse hame phasane Ko koshish mat karo Sudhakar varna-

Sudhakar ; no ,no Daya when Viren calls you both to the bureau bring Vivek and Patil there with your doses of special truth serum

Daya; woh kya hai?

Sudhakar ; tera thappad 

Daya; oh!

DCP; kuch gadbad to nahin hena Sudhakar?

Sudhakar; nahin sir kuch gadbad nahi hai sir mujhe yakin khijie aab hum chalte hain 

While travelling

Asha guesses that Sudhakar 's "informers" are Viren and Jayant  themselves. Sudhakar is shocked and asked Asha how she knew about it 

Asha tells that Sudhakar wrote that message in whiteboard which means his cabin is bugged along with his phone being tapped ,and he was secretive about this entire meeting,meaning that Viren and Jayant  were involved and Sudhakar bugged thier cabins in secret so he can listen to their conversation 

"Magar kaise aur kyon?" Asha asked Sudhakar "Viren aur Jayant CID mein ek dhusre Ko jante bhi nahin" 

"Ha yeah baat to hai" Freddy replied 

"Asha , Freddy mujhe bhi Abhi tak pure baat samaj mein nahin aaya, aaj raat ke baat tasvir tho apne aap saaf ho jayega" 

"Magar Sudhakar are you sure thume koi protection nahi chahiye?"

"Haan Asha mujhe koi protection nahi chahiye" 

That night on Sudhakar's house ( graphic violence alert)

Sudhakar was watching TV waiting for Vivek and Patil to come.....he needed to pretend that he let his gaurd down.....and as expected the room filled with tear gas and two lean figures were seen but he pretended that he was not able to see anything.....

.....one of them grabbed Sudhakar from the back and held him tight......while the other stabbed him in the abdomen region repeatedly at the same spot.....then he removed the knife and ran....... Sudhakar had the strength to call for the ambulance before he fell unconscious.............

Hospital

The entire team visits Sudhakar giving individual "get well soon gifts"

Four weeks later at CID bureau (December 31 2024)

After Sudhakar got well and came back to the bureau,Viren and Jayant asked who did this to him.......trying to be as evasive as possible Sudhakar replied that he saw two figures, and nothing more

Viren pretending to be enraged came to the pre-planned conclusion that Abhijeet and Daya did this  (because before leaving cid, coincidentally Daya mentions that Sudhakar will be sorry someday) and  called Abhijeet and Daya and also called DCP sir, Asha and Freddy,as planned started to defend Abhijeet  and Daya but Viren did not listen to any, of them 

Sawgadah station

After Daya hung up on an angry Viren he told Abhijeet "signal mli gayi boss" to which Abhijeet said to Daya that take care of Vivek and Patil and he'll prevent  the crowd from interfering ( the other officers)

Daya marched into thier cabins and gave them huge slaps while Abhijeet stopped the other cops from interfering

"Sach sach bataao tum dono he Sudhakar par hamla kya tha na" 

"Haan,Haan humne hi kya tha" replied Vivek and Patil sobbing from Daya's slaps 

"Aab aao bureau mein aakar sari sach batao Abhijeet said while taking them in thier car driving them to CID bureau.........

CID bureau

"Yeh hoi nahi sakta!" DCP sir faked his anger when Viren told him that Abhijeet and Daya stabbed Sudhakar 

"Mein aaj un dono Ko arrest karte hi chodonga sir"

"Bakwas mat karo Viren Abhijeet aur Daya nahi kar Sakta yeh Sab"

At that moment Daya and Abhijeet came to the bureau with Vivek and Patil

Viren's smile faded instantly

Daya asked Vivek and Patil to tell the truth and they said it to everyone. Viren and Jayant were sweating profusely

Sudhakar was observing everything from a distance 

This time DCP sir ordered Sudhakar to tell them everything  ;

Sudhakar said that when he was undercover he learnt that Viren and Jayant were corrupt and they used sawgadha as their money front; they released many criminals in exchange of money and they recruited Vivek and Patil who by than were corrupt and demoted as well. When Sudhakar arrested the entire maze gang, Viren and Jayant's operation came to an end and they were furious with Sudhakar who wanted to keep tabs on both of them so he refused promotion as ACP and asked DCP sir to transfer Viren and Jayant ( keep your friends close,and enemies closer policy). Sudhakar continues saying that Viren and Jayant were about to kill Sudhakar,Abhijeet and Daya ( as they knew about the team's rapport and Jayant suspected some sort of foul play cause Sudhakar made both Jayant and Viren to be posted in the same bureau) but Sudhakar made up Abhijeet's and Daya's demotion to purposefully to earn the wrath of the rest of his team in order to throw Viren and Jayant off thier scent .Sudhakar found out  that Viren and Jayant bugged the entire bureau to keep surveillance on everyone so Sudhakar bugged Viren and Jayant instread

Sudhakar also explains about the motive behind the stabbing; Viren realised that Sudhakar knows about him so that's why he had sent Abhijeet and  Daya l to sawgadha and decided to wound Sudhakar very badly  using Vivek and Patil  and implicate this on Abhijeet and Daya using the fact that Daya "threatened" Sudhakar while getting demoted (Sudhakar listened to their plans using that bug which he planted in Viren's office )

The entire team is transfixed at Sudhakar's detection

DCP ; Abhi bhi mujhe ek baat katak Rahi hai, Viren aur Jayant tum dono itne imaandar officers thay,aur tum sono ek dhusre Ko jante tak nahin-

Sudhakar; mein aapko samja Sakta ho sir,baat hai ki asli mein yeh dono Viren aur Jayant nahin hai

DCP; WHAT?

Sudhakar ; sir yeh dono beherupiya hain chera ko badal liya magar fingerprints ko nahin badal sakta (not-Viren and not-Jayant looks confused, they cannot run, they are surrounded by the entire team)

Sudhakar; yaad hai tum dono ko? Mujhe hospital me mil kar apne "get well soon " gifts diye the na? Usme se mein unglion ke nishan utakar records mein check kya

Abhijeet;.Phir kya Mila thuje?

Sudhakar ; Abhijeet yeh sunkar tum bahut kush ho jaayegi, yeh dono Vasudev aur uss gold watch wala aadmi hai 

Abhijeet ; Hain?

Sudhakar ; Yaad nahi hai year 2000 mein us Nina wadwa case mr Wilcox  ko bomb se udane Ko plan Bana tha, uss mechanic Baldev ka case hai yaar

Abhijeet: oh yes! us laal gaadi wala case jisme Nina Ko bandh kar rahka tha or iss Vasudev! The fake southern times editor! Oh my god! 

Abhijeet went and slapped Vasudev/Viren

Abhijeet; itna saal hum  se chut gayi ? Aab jail mein sadthe raho phansi ke order aane tak

Later that day

Sudhakar explained that back in year 2000 they got Vasudev's fingerprints from the fake office and golden watch wearing guy's fingerprints from the red car. After that  during interrogation Abhijeet learnt about Vasudev he and his gang  kidnapped  Viren and Jayant and took their places using plastic surgery and started thier courrpt empire   (original Viren and Jayant were recovered safely by the cid team and they also caught the rest of Vasudev's gang including the plastic surgeon who helped Vasudev and the golden watch guy in changing thier identities)

Sudhakar; Mein aap Sab ko bahut taklif de diya mujhe ab sab ka maafi chaya ho aur ab mein yahan ab rehna acha nahi hota,mein transfer le kar Kahi aur jaayega 

Asha; Sudhakar thume aaj ek bahut bada operation ko accomplish kiya hai 

DCP ; Haan Sudhakar thume kitna bada aatankvadio Ko pakkad liya aur agar  tum Naa ho toh najane hame kitne saal hoga asli Jayant aur Viren ko Milne keliye

Abhijeet; haan Sudhakar 24 saal  ka cold case to thume aaj solve kardiya hai . I don't know what that means for you but in my book you are one of the best officers ever

Daya; Sudhakar ab tume hamse bach nahi sakta,tum yahan ACP banogi aur yahi par kaam karoge

Freddy; sorry Sudhakar mein bhi tumare bare mein bahut gandhe baat kya tum Kahi nahi jaaoge 

DCP sir looked at Sudhakar  as if to say "well,it's your choice to make"

Sudhakar; I'll be here working as ACP from tomorrow/whenever my paperwork gets ready sir,and Abhijeet I'm sorry for treating you that way, when I was at undercover for 19 years I saw worse and I realised that I should have told everything to you directly when I was framed( case of the frame up) instead of being evasive ,I just wanted to show you the error of your ways a bit but I  forgave you back then itself. I taunted you some months back just for the sake of the case , and Daya,you have always supported me,I demoted you as well so that you would help Abhijeet in the case, aur Asha you are the most brilliant cop I ever knew,you solved half the case by merely observing! That's why I needed you in Mumbai (Sudhakar knew DCP sir would call Asha when he suspends Abhijeet and Daya.......because Asha was the only cop DCP sir trusts other than Abhi, Daya .Freddy and Sudhakar) Aur DCP sir,I'm really sorry for calling you a biased person,you are my number one role model sir and you've always supported at times of crisis. Over the two decades you've guided us fairly through times of crisis sir  I don't mean it when I said you're biased,you're the most selfless person I've ever met, you've risked your reputation and saved my life when you threatened dr Nyanti that you will shoot her if she didn't administer me the vaccine (case of the horrifying virus), and you and Dr Nyanti were rivals for years after that.....just for me.......you're the most selfless person I've ever met sir......

DCP (teary eyed); Sudhakar tum bhi na......

Abhijeet ; I'm sorry yaar tume Ko mein uss din bahut taklif diya aur zaroorat ki jadha bhol diya aur and I shouldn't have told DCP Chitrole that you were incompetent, you proved me ,wrong today 

Sudhakar; mein bhi  sorry bhi na chata hun mein bhi us din (back in frame up case) zaroorat ke jadha bhol diya.

Abhijeet; You have no need to ask for my forgiveness, I was the one who's really at fault , a senior should always trust his people, I failed you and hurt you.......I'm sorry for my lack of trust .....and I'm really sorry for trying to jeopardize your career by saying to DCP Chitrole that you're incompetent , no ammount of apologies would right that wrong 

 (Sudhakar smiled proudly at Abhijeet......at last an heartfelt apology... seeing  this Abhijeet hugged him and Sudhakar hugged him back - officially ending their rivalry, this is a new chapter of friendship and soon it turned into a group hug by the entire team!)

DCP ; ek group photo lete? 

All; zaroor sir zaroor 

As they were taking the group pic,they yelled HAPPY NEW YEAR!   And the scene fades to black
