The story is set in the year 2024

Part 1

CID bureau (March 26 2024)

DCP chitrole is at the bureau briefing to ACP sir,Freddy ,Daya and Abhijeet sir about an old officer who  is joining CID after 19 years and he's going to be senior to Abhijeet and Daya. Perplexed about this Daya asks who this new officer is and DCP replies that it is Sudhakar!!!! Shocked by this Abhijeet asks where has Sudhakar been all these years. ACP tells Abhijeet and Daya that Sudhakar has been undercover all these years taking down Maze gang ( biggest gangster group in Mumbai) by being a part of them all these years

Abhijeet and Daya are shocked about why they've not been informed about this to which ACP tells them that Sudhakar's mission was so high profile that only DCP and he knew about it all along. DCP interrupts  and informs that the old IG is retiring after being in the post for 2 years  and promotions were trickling down ;  he's going to be made commissioner and ACP sir has been made DCP and Sudhakar has been made ACP. At this point Sudhakar reports back at his old CID bureau after 19 years. Everyone gives him a warm welcome and Sudhakar talks to everyone in a sweet manner except to Abhijeet to whom he shows a certain hostility that Abhijeet couldn't understand why. And Sudhakar gets updated about what's been going on in CID for the past 19 years ( he seemed to know the big ones like ACP killing Nakul, but he didn't know about Daksh being allied with Nakul and Aditi sacrificing her life for the country. And Sudhakar also asked about the "Varun incedent" that happened a couple of years ago......he heard about that in the news but didn't know the full story.......ACP sir stops him and tells him that some things are better left untold.....) he tells ACP sir that because he went  undercover he  didn't have any contact with his informers and that  he'll visit Aditi's grave the next day to pay his respects.

Next day at the bureau 

DCP Pradyuman informs Sudhakar that he has been made the new ACP. Sudhakar politely turns down the promotion  saying that he is comfortable with being made as senior inspector ( Abhijeet realises that Sudhakar has been made his immediate senior and he notices that Sudhakar glared at him while saying that. But he still couldn't understand why)DCP tells Sudhakar that someone has to be made ACP in CID bureau and Sudhakar asks ACP Viren of Pune branch and inspector Jayant from Kolkata branch to be transfered here ( the old CID officers before our duo era) as they were the best officers he ever worked with 

After a couple of weeks ACP Viren and Inspector Jayant are in Mumbai CID bureau and they thank Sudhakar for remembering them. Abhijeet remembered working with Jayant but has only heard about Viren but still introduced himself to both of them.

Sudhakar finds a chance to talk to Freddy after a week and apologizes for not informing him ,but he argued that he couldn't have told what he was up to as it was a undercover mission and hoped that Freddy would understand Freddy, initially reluctant to forgive him because he had coped up with Sudhakar's loss by using humour as a defense mechanism and he says that he was ridiculed and was labelled as a comedian  ( well everyone has a different way of coping up with losses) but then forgives Sudhakar

Now Sudhakar being Abhijeet's senior asks Abhijeet to digitalise the old case files,hence putting Abhijeet off any case he has right at that time 

Abhijeet still not understanding Sudhakar's hatred for him complains to Viren but Viren turns a blind eye on the matter. Furious about this Abhijeet tells Daya about this and Daya realises what's been going on and  tells Sudhakar that he is getting his revenge on Abhijeet for not believing in him in 2002 case where Sudhakar was framed for bank robbery and murder to which Sudhakar refused to give a straight answer . Abhijeet shocked by this tells Daya that Sudhakar is abusing his power To which Daya tells him that Sudhakar remembers him as the old impulsive Abhijeet and he does not know the sweet caring Abhijeet that he is now.  and he has changed over the years to a kind intelligent mellow,trustworthy man and  Sudhakar is not realising that 

Abhijeet is certain that Sudhakar will not listen to him and realises as he used Viren as a buffer ( if Sudhakar had become ACP then if he'd taunted Abhijeet like this then he would have faced the heat of DCP Pradyuman sir directly so to cushion himself from that, he made it seem like he was being modest when  he turned down the promotion  to Pradyuman sir and asked Viren to be reappointed because Viren and Sudhakar were good friends and Viren wouldn't divulge any of the info to DCP sir if Sudhakar taunts him as being senior inspector) Abhijeet tells Daya about this and Daya cannot seem to believe that Sudhakar had become so deceptive to which Abhijeet responds that Sudhakar has been in the mob these many years so he concludes that Sudhakar has attained mob mentality and now is torturing Abhijeet for a incident which happened  22 years ago and Abhijeet thought that Freddy is involved in it somehow.... 

Daya is still reluctant to agree about the whole Viren sir -helping-Sudhakar-part saying to Abhijeet that "you didn't work under Viren sir ,you don't know about him he's honest to the core......he arrested the people ,he most belived in...  Twice! He wouldn't change like that and why would he help with Sudhakar's scheme? No I dont think Viren sir is involved in this neither is Freddy involved in this "Abhijeet does not have an answer to that but he has an idea........

Sudhakar's house

Sudhakar recieves a phone call from DCP Pradyuman who asks Sudhakar to repot to his office the next day.....

DCP sir's office the next day 

DCP sir shouts at Sudhakar for his madness and anger towards Abhijeet telling that Abhijeet has informed him about Sudhakar's doings in the CID bureau and yells at him that IG saab told the CID team 2 years ago that "anymore drama....then they're done" (Sudhakar asks if that was related to the Varun incedent and DCP sir didn't answer but his silence explained everything.....and further says that "the old IG retired so why does it matter anyway?" DCP sir doesn't answer to this as well). Sudhakar partly enraged that Abhijeet went over his and ACP's head to report to DCP but keeps it to himself and tells DCP sir that he was always biased towards Abhijeet and Daya

DCP Pradyuman is shocked by the accusations and before he could respond Sudhakar says that when Daya was accused of murder ( missing bullet), accepting bribes ( case of blackmail victims) Allegedly murdering someone in interrogation room ( murder in the interrogation room) and Abhijeet accused of taking bribes ( case of accused officer ) killing (case of impossible murder ) killing and tampering evidence ( Abhijeet in danger ) ACP only scolded them lightly and suspended them only once even though whenever Abhijeet gets in trouble he plays the "memory loss" card and gets away with it , but when Sudhakar had a logical reason not to remember the colour/model of the car(even though he had a logical reason- he couldn't see because it was dead of the night and he only saw the licence plate,atleast he remembered something......not outright tell that he didn't remember anything) when he was framed Abhijeet taunted him like anything but ACP  never lost his cool with Abhijeet even then . Sudhakar and Freddy stood by their side when Abhijeet and Daya had faced tough times , but Abhijeet and Daya never did, and when Freddy 's wife was accused of dealing drugs and murder evryone even Sachin told Freddy that  "jo evidence kahe rahe hai wasaie hum sawal pooch rehe hai" and ACP lost his cool with Freddy that time ( Sudhakar read the old case file that's why he knew) and when Sudhakar was framed Abhijeet lost his composure and came to the extent of  manipulating Freddy to get answers from Sudhakar and told Sudhakar that "mein CID ka nokri mein Kasam Kah ki kehera ho tum hi khooni ho" and didn't even listen to Sudhakar's side of the story and ACP did not reprimand Abhijeet for his behaviour

Sudhakar also tells DCP that even Abhijeet went over ACP Pradyuman's head to tell DCP Chitrole that sudhakar was incompetent at his job in 2005 ( THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN CID I'M JUST TRYING TO EXPLAIN SUDHAKAR'S SUDDEN DISAPPEARANCE BUT IN THIS STORY, IN THIS ALTERNATE UNIVERSE, THIS INCIDENT  HAPPENED) but ACP Pradyuman (now DCP) turned a blind eye to that when Sudhakar complained to ACP about Abhijeet's behaviour and DCP Chitrole gave him the undercover mission  to prove Sudhakar's mettle

DCP was stunned by Sudhakar's accusations. (Even though he got Sudhakar's point about Abhijeet being too privileged back then) He felt that this was not the same Sudhakar he trained. He also realises that Sudhakar has attained borderline inferiority complex due to being shunned to a side by everyone and is traumatised being undercover for the past 19 years,before he could say any of this, his star officer...... left his office hurriedly

At CID bureau 

Sudhakar prepared for his next great deception.  He informed Viren about the new system of order he was implementing  on the bureau and Viren agreed to this

He called everyone to the briefing room and told him that CID officers who have been framed/accused or black marked or suspended  in the past for more than or just 10 times will be demoted to a uniformed cop for 6-8 months and transferred

Abhijeet and Daya were transfixed while Sudhakar read their  records from 1998-2018

Daya

Accused of accepting bribe ( blackmail victims)

 Killing a kidnapper who refused to tell where the kidnaped was ( case of the father's revenge)

Sudhakar tells everyone that Abhijeet and Daya are going to be demoted  Viren and Jayant agrees to that and the others   are astonished

Abhijeet looked at his mad superior Sudhakar as he and Daya  handed over their  badges to ACP Viren while Sudhakar was looking at them with glee and satisfaction......Abhijeet began to realise what an dangerous enemy Sudhakar has become.......

But still Abhijeet argued with Sudhakar ,told him that the times when they were "framed". They were just a few sting  cases and atleast he could spare Daya and let him stay because Daya is Abhijeet's friend and innocent and only supported Sudhakar when he was framed  . But Sudhakar responded by telling that it does not matter cause when Sudhakar was framed Abhijeet didn't care wether Freddy was his friend or not and didn't even listen to Freddy when he expressed displeasure to break in into Sudhakar's house ,but when Aditi found incriminating evidence against Abhijeet  and broke into his house, Daya and Abhijeet were like"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?" And Sudhakar mocked how Abhijeet said "Jada Arjun mat banao" to Freddy..He also reminded Abhijeet that he said it was impossible to move a laash from car to dikki in five minutes , but still can keep a straight face and say someone else shot that girl in locked room with abhijeet in case of the impossible murder "ware wah!" Sudhakar continued....."how can rules apply different to the great   golden duo whilst it was not applicable to Freddy and me? Do you have an answer for this? You know what? You are a hyper privileged person who uses memory loss as an ATM card and 100% flees from the crime scene"Abhijeet loses his cool yells at him that he's abusing his power and  he will face the repercussions someday. ( Even then Abhijeet realised what an worse person he was back then....but he couldn't give that to Sudhakar.....if he does that then Sudhakar will fire him instantly or worse, turn him into his puppet....no.....he had to think some other way to keep tabs on sudhakar......maybe someone in the bureau could help him.....but at this point will anyone even help him? Sudhakar has highlighted the worst moments  of Abhijeet's life......then he had an idea.....)Abhijeet regains his cool and again requests Sudhakar to spare Daya but Sudhakar tells Abhijeet that he'll need Daya in sawghada police station ( that's where they are demoted to and the area sawghada plays an important part in ACP blind series in CID classic episodes)

Before leaving Daya tells Sudhakar that atleast he supported Sudhakar when he was framed and Sudhakar retorted by reminding Daya that when Daya  interrogated Sudhakar's informer he partly belived that Sudhakar was involved in the robbery (daya asks in that episode that "Sudhakar bhi Mila hua na iss chori mein"? To Sudhakar's informer)  and Sudhakar also started instigating Daya....saying that he didn't have a clue why Daya was still Abhijeet's friend since Abhijeet humiliated Daya at least 3 times ( case of dishonest cop and at the mamtha foundation case when the killer's  locket was found with Daya and Abhijeet questioned him like a ptisoner and finally in Abhijeet ke ateet ka raaz when Abhijeet hurt and humiliated Daya in the hospital)  Daya gets annoyed ( but sees Abhijeet's mistakes as well.....) and  says that Sudhakar will be sorry someday 

Dr Salunkhe and Dr Tarika try to confront Sudhakar at the bureau with no avail , Sudhakar taunts Salunkhe sir that he'd never liked Abhijeet , Daya and Sudhakar  citing many times when Salunkhe had called Abhijeet as "kalank" and disregarded Daya completely and treated Sudhakar like trash . Sudhakar tells Tarika to stop worrying about her boyfriend and to go focus on her work.......Salunkhe and Tarika leaves  disgusted by Sudhakar's behaviour.......

Freddy later berates Sudhakar that he has turned into a monster due to clinging to the past and says to him that he is ashamed to be Sudhakar's friend and later goes to Abhijeet and Daya's houses  apologizes to them for Sudhakar's behaviour. He could not believe what an heartless monster Sudhakar has become. And later that night at Sudhakar's house Freddy comes and tells Sudhakar that Abhijeet sir might have been a bit harsher 22 years ago but he mellowed down to an caring and an emotional officer who was both efficient and empathetic and started standing up for his officers when they were in trouble . He further said that Abhijeet was the only person who thought his wife (Freddy's wife) was innocent while no one else belived in Freddy . Sudhakar couldn't think an answer for it and Freddy was disgusted by his "so called best friend"s behaviour and left his house 

Sudhakar's house that night

Sudhakar was reflecting  sadly  on Freddy's words with silent tears on his face while looking at an old photo of him,Freddy,Asha,Abhijeet and Daya ( photo was from case of blackmail victims available in YouTube as CID episode 77)... he could not believe that Freddy would turn against him when Sudhakar was trying to prove that cid was biased and Sudhakar and Freddy were the unluckiest ones, who were trashed around, joked about like animals,he thought how his mission helped his career and how Freddy's career was stagnated for the past 24 years and Freddy lapsed into alcoholism briefly in 2007 due to his never- progressing career .......but still his best friend sided with Abhijeet and Daya.....that thought disturbed him so much that he had to be shaken out of his his memories when his phone rang and he answered the call and a female voice was heard from the other side of the line

Sudhakar: hello? Kaun hai?

Unknown female voice ( though it felt familiar);. Sudhakar meri awaaz Ko phehechana nahi?

Sudhakar racked his brains to remember who that voice belonged to. At last......

Sudhakar; Asha.....tum? ( In an elated voice) kintne saal ho gayi tume-

Asha; Enough Sudhakar! Whats this I'm hearing about you from DCP sir? I'm JCP (joint commissioner of police) in Goa bureau right now but DCP sir has transferred me here to......I'll meet you in CID bureau in a few weeks after my case is over and see what's going on with you

After Asha hung up the phone Sudhakar was half elated that Asha was coming back.......she was someone who he could always trust,........But will she trust him when he tells her that..........
