Chapter 6

Shree ki kahaani Riya ki zubani

 

Riya was so disturbed over the honor killing case.how could any parent kill their child? She could'nt brushed that thoughts aside.she came early to office, and finds it empty.she settled down and  started to think about her own personal life.

When she was 15 , she came to know that she is adopted.at first, she was shocked, and very hurt.but after the time passed and she thought that her being adopted had'nt change anything for her parents.they loved her and suhani same, scolded them whenever they did something wrong, praised them when they had achieved something and always there with them, no matter what.they loved her just like their own daughter, so there was no place for complain.

Her parents were the best parents in the world.her mom, so sweet and caring.her father, may be couldn't give time due to his work, bt always there when his family needed him most.it was a small , happy family.

Sometimes she think of her biological mother too.no, she doesn't hate her.bt cant help to think that what the difference it would make? Nothing, her thought tells her evrytime, coz her mom will be just like Mrs. Mukherjee.she wishes that if she could remember her.she hadn't any photo of her too.

Her  phone buzzed, making her jump.she looked at the screen and a small smile came in her lips.

''maa??''

''I hope I am nt disturbing u, Riya.''Mrs. Mukherjee's sweet voice fell on her ear.

''na na maa, bolo.kemon achho? Ar baba kemon ache?''   (no, no, mom,its ok.how r u and dad?)

''amra vlo achhi.tomar baba ektu busy achhe, new project.'' (we're fine.he is little busy over his new project).''tumi kemon achho sona? Ar tomar kaaj kemon cholchhe?''(how r u darling? How's the work going?)

''ami vlo achhi, maa. Ar kaaj o thk cholchhe.amar colleague ra khub vlo.ar shree to achhei.'' (I'm ok.and work's going fine.my colleagues r awesome.shree's their too.)' '' she's ok, maa.dnt worry.''

''asha kori tomar kaaj emoni vabe vlo jaak.i miss you sona.''(I hope ur work will go fine)

Riya's voice chocked. ''I miss you too, maa. Jodi tumi ekhane thakte…. ''(wish u were here…)

''me and ur papa may come in a couple of months.ur papa were saying abt a project that can be happen in India.so, fingers crossed.'' She said excitedly.

Riya was so happy, and then she saw shree entering with two coffee mugs.he handled her one and winked. She said to her mom  '' I so hope , maa.give my best wishes to papa.''

''I will, beta.take care of urs. And tell me about ur new life?''

And the women started their neverending convo. Suddenly, shree's phone rang.he took it, and shocked over what he heard.the mug fell down from his hand and he ran like a maniac and stormed out of the office, before slamming to a totally confused and shocked Chotu.

Riya heard the mug breaking and turned to see a shocked shree.she saw him running and shouted Shree….bt he didn't hear her.she cut the call and was started to think the possible reason of his running.then it made sense to her….it's HER!!!!

She took her bag and prepared to leave.chotu was about to ask her about shree,bt she cut her and said

''chotu, Rathore sir se kehna mere ghar mein kuchh problem ho gayi hain, iss liye main aaj ka din off le rahi hoo.aur kehna Shree ki tabiyat thk nhi hain, ok?''

Chotu nodded and about to ask bt she stormed out of the entrance.

She sit in her car and motioned Shree to sit, who was about to cross the gate.he quickly sit and she started the car.

She stopped the car in front of a building, named ''Deshmukh Mental Hospital''

They both went inside the building, ranning and slamming with the people.at last they stopped infront of a ward.ward no. 13

''kya hua use?'' the worry was so evident in Shree's voice.the lady doc turned and said, ''mr. sen, she cut her hand with a glass….we hv…'' before she could say anything, Shree's high pitched voice shocked her as well as Riya to their core.

''glass se cut gaya? Kaise? Aur tab ward boy kahan tha? Aap log itni laparvahi kaise kar sakte hain? Aap logon par itna varosha kr ke hum patients ko chhor kr jaate hain, aur badle main humein yeh suune ko milta hain?agar….''

Before he could sau anything that can make things ugly, riya pushed her aside and tried to calm him down. ''Shree, calm down.''

''how could I , Ri?agar….''

''shh, just calm down, ok?'' she turned to the lady doc, who was almost in tears by his sudden outburst.

''I apologise on his behalf.how is she now?''

The lady doc cleared her throat and said,'' she is fine, par blood loss ke vajeh se kamzor hain.kal subah use hosh aa jayega.''

''thnk u doctor.''

Shree was exhausted now.he calmed himself down and said,'' its all my fault.mujhe khayal rakhna chahiye tha.sh*t yaar.''

Riya consoled him and said'' its none's fault.aisa ho jata hain.aur the main part is, she is ok.so don't worry.''

The whole day passed.Shree peeped frequently through the glass door, bt didn't go inside once.Riya was there with him all the time.she also called Rathore and her daijaan about her whereabouts.

It was 2 pm .shree had now sleeping peacefully on Riya's shoulder.she didn't move an inch, fearing that he might wake up.he needed it, after whole day' worry . he had'nt even eaten anything,nt after much request by Riya.

She started to think about that fateful day, the day that took all the happiness from her one and only best friend.she could clearly remember that now……..

'' ri..i am in love.''shree gave an 1000 volt jhatka to the mukherjee sister.Suhani spat at her food and looked at him like she is looking at a alien.riya was surprise and said cheerfully. ''wow, shree.congrats.who's that lucky girl?''

''haan, main bhi to sunu shree bhaiyya ki kisne aapko pasand iya hain?'' suhani was amused at the thought of any girl fall in love with him.

''kyu, mujhmein koi burai hain hain kya?'' shree was now getting angry.

''arre, bhaiyya, koi kyu apne jee te jee sautan ban na chahega? Aap ka 1^st love to apke gadgets hain, naa?to fir aapko koi ladki kaise dkh gyi? Aur ussne apno kaise pasand kr liya?''

Both the girls bursted into laughter.shree was now angry as hell, and said'' su ki bachhi, tub ado ki baat se door reh, samjhi? '' and then turned to riya, '' I really love this girl ri.i cant live without her.''

''to kab batane waale ho use?'' ri asked.

''pata nhi..i am scared.''

''kya bhaiyya, aap ek ladki ko propose krne se darr rahe ho..aap bas ek bouquet lekar jao.aap itne cute ho ki aapko dekh kr hi ladki haan kr degi.'' Su said to shree.he was now smiling and then said, ''sach?"'

''haan, shree, she is right.tu sirf apni dil ki baat keh de.fir dekh, who kya kehti hain…to kab krne wala hain propose?''

 

After 2 days shree made a plan to propose that girl.shree, riya and suhani made all the arrangements for the surprise.they had said all the best to shree and leaved from that venue.

At late night, riya got a call from him

''shree, itni raat gair? Khushi ke mare neend nhi aa rahi hainkya?'' she said sleepily.then chuckled and said myschieviously '' mujhe laga ab to doston ko bhul hi gaye, ab gf jo mil gayi hain tumhe….''

No reply from other side.

''hello, shree, you there?'' as soon she finished, she heard someone's sobbing.

''shree, whats wrong? Pls tell me yaar, mujhe tension ho rhi hain….''

All that he managed to say that he was in hospital.riya rushed to the place only to find an heartbroken, devastating shree.

As soon as he saw her, he started to cry and wrenched her into a bone crushing hug.she calmed her down and what she heard was shocking and disgusting.

Shree called that girl to inform abt his surprise, bt she didn't pick up his calls.after some 50 calls, he decided to go to her place.he entered her house and saw that her whole family was killed.

''she was raped, ri.''

Her condition was getting worst.bt somehow , she survived.later they came to know that her elder brother was a police officer.it was a revenge from a notorious mafia, Sikandar.

''I will kill him, ri.i swear as hell I will.'' Shree's determined voice jerked her from her flashback.she hv never seen him so angry, so focused.all these yr, he hv took care of her in this asylum.

Shree's sleep broke and he yawned loudly.

''gd morning.'' Her voice jerked him and he looked at her panicking.she assured him, '' she is  ok. Abhi hoss aa jayega.''

He was so disturbed. He said in a low whisper,'' kab sab kuchh thk hoga, ri? I cant bear to see her like that.it kills me.''

She was so sorry for this man.she hold his hand and said, ''bohot jald''

''kb?kitne saal ho gaye…maine sab kuchh try kiya, jitna mujhse ho saka sbkuchh kiya.bst docs ko dikhaya, pr no result.meri har mahine ke salary ko uske ilaaz mein kharach krta hoon, ki kaise bhi who thk ho jaye…pr kuchh nhi hota. Aur ab to ghar wale bhi shak kr rahe hain.main already 3 bar ghar se paise maang chukka hoo, gadgets ke naam pe…pr ab mom mujhse puchh rahi hain..kya kahoon unhe?''

''hum zaroor koi rasta dhoond nikalenge. Hum dono hain na.'' she stressed the word ''Hum'' and said it like Srk.shree chuckled and looked at her, '' su ka bohot bura asar pr raha hain tujhpe.bilkul filmy hoti ja rahi hain.''

As soon she heard her name, her smile faded.she was about to say something then nurse came and said that she was awake now. Shree sprinted towards her room.a lone tear escaped her eyes and she whispered to herself

''kaise bataoon tumhe, shree, ki who…….''
