Soon they were parked by the Pizza Hut. "Mehek,you go inside your friend must be waiting,I'll come and get you after lunch." Said Shaurya. "No Shaurya! You are coming with me! You haven't eaten since morning at least have lunch with us." Insisted Mehek. "Ok fine." Both stepped out of the car and headed for the restaurant. Neeta was already seated inside and greeted them with a smile. Menu was decided and Shaurya placed the order. "Have you confessed your feelings to him?" Neeta whispered in meheks ears. "Not yet,but I'm planning to confess it tonight." Mehek whispered back. "Kya khusar phusar chal rahi hai Tum dono ke beech?" Asked Shaurya while sipping his Clamato juice. "It's Ladies talk,can't tell you Shaurya sir." Said Neeta. Food arrived and the trio began to eat. Suddenly Neeta almost jumped when she felt a leg brushing hers under the table. "What happened?" Asked Mehek. "That's my leg Shaurya sir!" Laughed Neeta. Mehek looked at him with widened eyes. "Sorry I thought it was meheks." Said Shaurya with a sheepish smile. Mehek stepped on his foot hard! Shaurya winced in pain. "Payr hai yah truck ki tire?" He teased her. Mehek pouted with a frown. "You look great with that pout! Hang on I'll take a picture!" Said Shaurya and Neeta joined him for a laugh. After lunch Shaurya drove them to xyz mall. Girls got busy shopping and Shaurya was getting bored. "How much longer girls?" He asked and exhaled. "When a man accompanies a woman to shopping he needs to have time and patience." Mehek told him and pulled his cheeks. He made an ugly face at her. Mehek laughed. They came inside a jewelry store when Shaurya's cell phone rang. He came out of the store to answer it. Neeta also got a phone call from her fianc so she left leaving MehRya alone. Mehek was browsing through jewelries when her eyes fell on a beautiful bracelet that had a heart hanging at the end. "Wow! This is so pretty! How much is it?" She asked excitedly. The salesperson told her the price. "I didn't ask the price for the entire store?" She said to the salesperson. "I know ma'am I'm telling you the price for the bracelet." Replied the salesperson. "Are you kidding me? This is so expensive I don't want it." She gave the bracelet back to the salesperson. Little did she know Shaurya who was standing few feet away from her heard everything. "Don't put it away I'm buying that!" Shaurya's voice reached her ears and she twitched her head to see him standing right behind her. "You are buying that for who?" She asked. "For my neighbours wife!" He teased her. Mehek grimaced. Shaurya chuckled. "Arey yaar I'm buying it for you aur kis ke liye buy karunga main?" "But Shaurya its too expensive I don't want it" said Mehek. "But I want it! for my wife to be!" Shaurya poked on her nose. Colour rose to her cheeks and she lowered her gaze shyly. He paid for the bracelet and made her wear it. "Thank you!" Mehek flashed a smile. Shaurya gestured to his lips for a kiss. "Shaurya what are you doing? I can't..everyone's watching us." Shaurya grabbed her by her hand. "Then let's go to some place where there's no one to watch us." "Shaurya Kya kar rahe ho Sab dekh rahe hai!" She protested. "Dekhte hai toh dekhne doh main darta Hun Kya?" The look on his face sent her heart racing. He brought her out and pulled her behind a building. Gently pushing her on the wall he pinned her both hands above her head.. "My thank you kiss?." He ordered. She gazed up at him and smiled timidly, suddenly feeling shy. "Leave my hands and Close your eyes." He did as told. She leaned in close and kissed him, her lips lingering on his, then brushing across his cheek, sending tingles dancing through him. He shot his eyes open to find her shying away. He tilted her chin up looking in her hazels. She turned a lovely shade of rose. Suddenly her eyes moistened and she buried her face on his chest. "Mehek,what's wrong? You ok na?" Asked Shaurya as he wrapped his arms around her. "Just hold me tight Shaurya and don't let me go." Her voice was brittle but full of emotions. He kissed the crown of the head and tightened his hold around her. "Babe,I'll never let you go! No matter what I'll be with you." Standing there wrapped in each other's he made her look at him. There were tear stain on her cheeks. He kissed her teary eyes and cupped her cheeks. "Is something bothering you?" He asked. "I'm scared Shaurya ...subha se mujhey ghabrahat horahi hai..as if something bad is going to happen...strange thoughts are invading my mind...and I'm really scared." She sobbed. "Nothing will happen..I'm with you Mehek! Now stop stressing out and let's go finish your shopping." He tried to cheer her up.

After finishing the rest of the shopping they came to their car. Shaurya packed the trunk with shopping bags. "Shaurya I'll just come from the washroom." Said Mehek. "Go I'll wait for you here." Mehek nodded and made her way to the washroom when Shaurya called her name. Mehek twitched her head to see. "Come fast ok?" Mehek smiled. "Thori der mere bina nai reh sakte?" Shaurya nodded in no. "Jaldhi aaungi baba!" He watched her till she disappeared behind the doors. Few mins later Mehek was coming out when her phone beeped,alerting her of a text message. She quickly went through the messages thinking it was Shaurya but it wasn't him! It was mami! The text read,"scroll down to see your bitter past which Shaurya hid from you." Holding her breath she scrolled down and in front of her eyes lay the photos of her past! Shaurya proposing her,her mehndi,her haldi ceremony and finally their wedding photo where both were exchanging garlands. "Itna bada sach chupaya unone mujhse? Aakhir kiyu? She sobbed. "Kiyu Shaurya kiyu?" She screamed and her voiced echoed in the washroom. Her head spun and she felt like the floor slipping away from under her feet. Her head felt heavy and she sat on the floor with a thud. Tears filled her eyes and she didn't want to believe what she was seeing. Another text message came. "Want to know more? I have all the answers you need to know...come see me at the xyz railway station." Mehek had a lot of questions to ask and she was desperate for answers. Wiping her tears she text her back. "I'm on my way!" Grabbing her bag she hurried out,hiding from Shaurya she slipped out of there.

She reached the station in a very bad state. Her eyes were swollen from crying and her cheeks were stained with tears. Shaurya was calling and texting her non stop but she didn't bother to reciprocate. "There you are!" Mami's unpleasant voice reached her ears! Wiping her tears she turned around to find her standing with a wicked smile playing on her lips. Mehek rushed towards her and joined her hands to plead. "Please tell me..am I still married to shaurya? Did something happen at the wedding? Why are the families hiding this from me? What more is there that I don't know of? Please tell me!" Mehek wept. Swetlana grabbed her hand and dragged her to a tree where no soul was around. She showed her more pictures of her and Shaurya. She told her everything from ISC days to their wedding day. "He faked his love for you...he won yours and your families trust to enter your life and then your house just for your mothers recipe book! When he got the recipe book he dumped you at the alter and left! And now that you have lost your memory he's back in your life to ruin it once again! Did he once thought of telling you about your past with him? No na? Darling,He's playing with your feelings again. Just know this,he's a bloody liar and a cheat! He's not trustworthy Mehek! He doesn't deserve you!" Maami shouted. Shutting her ears with both hands,Mehek fell down on her knees as tears rolled down her cheeks. Her world came down crashing on her and all that it contained,a million pieces of dreams came apart at the seams. "Now will you stop shedding tears! Tears are a sign of weakness and as far as I know you are not weak! So get up take this ticket,get in the train and walk out of his life forever!" Said swetlana while handing her the train ticket. Pulling herself together she stood up and took the ticket. Victorious smile was playing on swetlana's lips. She had told her the first half of the story,the rest where Shaurya apologized to the sharma family and why he did what he did,she kept it hidden with her.

Vicky who happened to be there by coincidence heard and saw what his step mom did and said to Mehek. He quickly dialled Shaurya's number. "Bhai! Bhabi is at the train station! Step mom told her everything about her past life with you...she's devastated please hurry bhai!" Vicky's voice was brittle. "Aaj nai toh kal this was bound to happen ...don't let her go anywhere I'm on my way." Said Shaurya and hung up. He sped towards the station. Tears swam in his eyes knowing that he has lost his Mehek forever. "Go on get on the train!" Ordered swetlana. Shattered and helpless she slowly made her way towards the train. "Mehek bhabi!" Vicky's voice reached her ears and she turned swiftly. Glaring angrily at his step mom he ran to Mehek and held her by her shoulders. "Please don't go...we all can sort this out...agar Tum chali gayee mera bhai jee nai paayga bhabi please ruk jaao..." pleaded Vicky. "He broke my trust Vicky...he has hidden so much from me..and i ..not knowing about our past life fell in love with him again..." cried Mehek. "He's a good human being that's why you fell in love with him bhaabi...agar bura insaan hota toh Kya aap unse pyaar karti? Nai na? He used to be proud,rude and arrogant but not anymore. He's a changed person altogether ..He was afraid to lose you that's why he didn't tell you the truth..and whatever mom told you about him he's not like that anymore...he's changed Bhaabi trust me." Vicky tried his level best to make her stay. "Vicky,i can't stay here anymore I have to go." Drying her tears she turned to go. "Mehek!" Shaurya called from behind her and rushed towards her. Both stood facing each other with tears in their eyes. He took her trembling hand in his. "Don't leave me Mehek, not like this! I only just found you, We can't possibly be over and done with each other!" Mehek pulled her hands back and grabbed his collar. "Why did you do this to me? Why did you break my heart and my trust! Why Shaurya? Why didn't you tell me we had a past together? Why didn't you tell me you pretended to be in love with me? You were marrying me for my mothers recipe book and when you got the book you left me at the alter? Why didn't you tell all this to me Shaurya?" Mehek wept. Shaurya cupped her cheeks. "I didn't tell you because I was afraid of losing you Mehek ..and trust me I have repented and asked forgiveness for my past mistakes...your love has changed me Mehek..I'm not the same Shaurya I was before..please Mehek ghar Chalo we can sit down and talk about this." Begged Shaurya. "I can't trust you Shaurya...not anymore." she sobbed. "Please Mehek,Think about the moments we spent in that farm house,was that all fake? When I said I love you did you feel I Was pretending and lying? Ask your self,didn't you love me back? Bolo na Mehek?" Mehek let his collar go. "I fell in love with you but I can't love you Shaurya and those beautiful moments we shared I'll keep them safe in my heart ...I'm sorry I can't stay here any longer!" She left towards the train. "Please don't leave me,I can't live without you Mehek! No one needs you more than I need you!" Shaurya broke down and ran after her,and just as she was about to get on the train,Shaurya caught her hand. "I can't let you go! We both promised we'll never leave each other no matter what!" The strangled word, spoken in anguish, tore at her heart, ripped through her resolve. She swiped at the tears raining over her cheeks and slowly turned, forcing the painful truth past her lips. "I can't stay. I can no longer give you the love you want." She freed her hand and stepped inside the train. "I'm standing in the midst of waves and I'm drowning Shaurya,You left me to drown but it feels like you're the only one who can bring me back to the shore." She said with the tears streaming down her cheeks. Shaurya stood there lifeless. The door slowly closed on them and the train moved. Vicky came running to comfort his bhai. "Sab khatam hogaya Vicky .." Tears made its way down his cheeks. "Kuch khatam nai huwa bhai ...can you recall her last few words? She said you are the only one that can bring her back to the shore!" Said Vicky. Shaurya ran his fingers through his hair. "I get your point miss sharma! Jaao jaha Jana hai! I'm coming after you to bring you back!"

Inside the train Mehek couldn't find a place to sit as it was jam packed. She was still in a dazed state and felt dizzy. She ripped through the crowd of people to find a place when her bracelet came off and fell on the floor. "No!" She bent down to pick it up when someone pushed her hard and she fell face down! Her head hit the iron post before she landed on the floor. Blood oozed out from the concussion as she lay unconscious on the floor. "Everyone move let me check!" A lady attended her who happened to be a nurse. She and two others carried her to a first aid room. Putting her on a stretcher the nurse cleaned and bandaged the wound on her head. She tried to wake her up but Mehek didn't respond. "I'm wondering what's in her hand?" Said the nurse. "Looks like a bracelet!" The other woman said. They tried to open her palm but they couldn't. Her palm was tightly closed over the bracelet,not wanting to let go. Few minutes later she had a very bad headache,squeezing her eyes tightly shut she threw her head side to side on the pillow as she recalled her past memories. From ISC days till the day she left khanna mansion. She was in a bus trying to run from everyone and then the accident. It all started to play in her mind like a video. She was covered in sweat when she opened her eyes. She woke up and looked around, obviously confused. "Are you ok my dear?" Asked the nurse. "I'm still in the bus...that means I survived the accident!" Said Mehek. "Which accident? You just fell down and hurt your head,were unconscious for a while and woke up now." The nurse said. Disoriented, Mehek couldn't recall anything after the accident,she didn't even know that she had lost her memory for past 8 months. Her mind was still stuck on the day she was running from Shaurya. She couldn't remember meeting Shaurya again,the farm house or their love and romance in that farm house. She was back to where she left. "Where's this bus taking us?" She asked with confused expression. "This is a train and not a bus,we are heading to Delhi." The nurse told her. "But I was on a bus going out of Delhi!" Said Mehek. "I think yeh ladki pagal hai...let's go through her bag may be we'll find some clue on her." The ladies mumbled. They told Mehek to lie down and rest for a while. When Mehek closed her tired eyelids,the nurse searched her bag and found a doctors business card. "Arey yeh toh doctor Nair ka card hai,he's a psychiatrist where I work." The nurse said. "I will take her to see doc Nair as soon as we reach Delhi." Thought the nurse.

Hours later the train arrived in Delhi. "Mehek,you are hurt..come with me I'll take you to a doctor. Said the nurse. "How do you know my name?" "I saw it on your ID card." Answered the nurse. "Kuch bhi ho I will not go home...I don't want to be a burden on my chacha's...I'll go see the doc and then I can figure out something from there." Thought Mehek. It was late night when Mehek along with the nurse,stepped in the doctors office. Doc knew her already as she was his patient since the day of her memory loss. The nurse dictated to the doc what happened in the train and meheks behaviour when she woke up from her unconscious state. Doc examined her and very happily announced that Mehek's memory was back! "But why can't I remember the things that happened between these 8 months?" Asked Mehek. Doctor explained her human anatomy and how it works in case of a memory loss and recovery. As soon as Mehek was out of there,the doctor informed Shaurya about what happened in the train and how mehek recovered from her memory loss. Shaurya was the happiest person on earth..but just for a while. His countenance fell when the doctor told him she doesn't recall anything after her memory loss up till now. Shaurya was sad to know the time he had spent with Mehek in Delhi and in Chandigarh was no longer remembered by Mehek. Lone tear escaped the corners of his eyes which didn't go unnoticed by Vicky. They arrived in Delhi early next morning and broke the news to the family. Everyone including Shaurya,waited for Mehek to show up at sharma house but she never came.
