Chapter4

The journey to Nikita's friend's house was uneventful for all. Neev and Vicky slept throughout the 1 hr journey and so did Sonal. Seems like a wailing child did get on her nerves too, thought Mehak. Only noise in the car was Ajay and Nikita exchanging sweet nothings.

 Ahh...sweet nothings, those sweet exchanges , those suggestive touches here and there. It all made her go into some memories which were so dear and so cherished yet pained her everytime.

 She missed him and her relationship with him and the moments she spent with him. She loved him but it was just not her fate...she wasn't supposed to have a happy life and she had accepted it long back. Lost in thoughts she didn't realize when they reached a big mansion...she couldn't read the name plate but saw a lot of guards. She just observed the beauty of the mansion forgetting everything.

 Nikita stopped the car right in front of the entrance of her friend's house. She got out and so did Ajay, Sonal woke up as the car stopped. She woke up Neev too and opened the door to let him out...she too got out. Meanwhile Ajay had already taken out Mehak's wheelchair. Neev went to the other side of the car and tapped on the window of Vicky's side.

 Vicky woke up and smiled seeing such a cute kid. He got out and exchanged pleasantries with the cute kid. He also signed him an autograph and clicked a picture with him too. He then asked how the cutie was related to Shaurya and why hasn't he seen him till now. Neev answered he is there with chairbound lazy Madam and doesn't know Shaurya but has seen him on screen. Vicky nodded and started moving inside with him.

Nikita and Sonal helped her on the wheel chair and then Ajay shut the boot of the car. He then gave the car keys to Shaurya's driver to park the car. They all went inside. Shaurya was then descending the stairs when Mehak and him both saw each other. Both their face expressions changed. Mehak's face expressions were that of extreme anger and Shaurya's were that of happiness and surprise.

 Mehak was about to turn her wheel chair and go but before that Shaurya reached near her and asked if she was okay and if she reached her place safely or not. Mehak told him she didn't want to talk to him especially after what happened yesterday. Her voice was harsh...the lightening and thundering outside too mirrored her anger being loud. 

 The weather outside changed too quickly from being that of extreme heat and harsh sun to rainy especially with the lightening and thundering.

Listening to her Shaurya too lost his temper and said that saving a life isn't a crime. Mehak said it wasn't a crime but getting publicity out if it wasn't as noble too. Shaurya didn't get what she was saying and asked her to explain the same .

Mehak told him to not act so innocent as if he knew nothing. Even despite such a big hotel fire yesterday ...the picture that made to the newspaper was him carrying her inside the ambulance and the article that followed was how saintly he was to save a differently abled girl. She told him clearly that she wanted to be nobody's charity case because she was enabled enough to fetch for herself and fight situations on her own. She also cleared that she wasn't going to forgive him. 

Almost everyone had done the same with her, using her for their own benefit but enough was enough. She was done with enough drama for the day and asked Sonal to take her out and book a cab. Shaurya yelled from behind that she could leave if she wanted to ...he didn't care but wanted to specify that he didn't do anything for publicity and didn't even know till she told him that what picture and what article made it to the front pages of all dailies. He just didn't care and  said that he should have let such a selfish lady die in the incident instead of saving her because she was just too thankless.

Mehak didn't even turn...Neev was so scared seeing the shouting match that without even saying a word he followed Sonal and Mehak outside the living room. Nikita was so shocked to react or say something but she called Mehak's name and ran behind her to stop her but Mehak said that she wasn't there to spoil her day and she should enjoy herself even it was in the great Shaurya' s company.

 While they were exiting Karuna and Harish came back from the office where they had to go urgently to sign some important documents. They didn't know what had happened neither they knew any one of the trio standing with Nikita but advised them to not go out as the storm was getting pretty bad and it wasn't safe going out.

Mehak said she could manage and moved out, the cab too was there. She sat inside asap and left from there in anger.

Meanwhile at Shaurya' s place Karuna asked Shaurya who she was and why she was so angry to which Shaurya replied with his world famous temper that he didn't know such mannerless people but he still saved their life. Wouldn't do it the next time for sure and if she wanted to know any further she could ask Nikki because she got that sick mannerless creature in the house. Harish asked Shaurya to mind his tongue and talk respectfully as they didn't know what made her condition like that.

Nikita was feeling that the room was getting too heated with the argument and she needed to calm everyone down. She turned to Karuna and said the girl on the wheelchair was her friend from school time who got paralyzed waist below some two years ago and since then she has changed a lot and it wasn't her fault. Maybe the situations were too harsh on her especially what and how it happened.

She patiently turned towards Shaurya and told him that she was thankful that he saved her Friend  from the fire but she condemned how he talked to her. She said that at least he could have kept her cool. Vicky  too joined in saying that he could have acted calmly and could have talked patiently. He also said because of him she left in this heavy rain and may face inconvenience in the way.

Ajay was understanding that Shaurya wasn't liking the lecture that both the other guys were giving him and said that they should all relax and let Shaurya breath because it was a difficult day for him too yesterday and for Mehak too.

He told Shaurya that the girl he met was Mehak Sharma and he would arrange for a meeting between them where they could clear the misunderstandings and maybe become friends too. Shaurya though got to know her name but blatantly refused for the sorry meetings and said he didn't want a sorry and won't say a sorry. He then said he didn't want to spoil his mood further and they should have food because then they couldn't go out because of the heavy rain and then they could watch a movie later in the theatre room. All agreed and started their day together. Nikki however thought that she would call Mehak in about 2-3 hrs to know if she had reached or not after all Mehak was important for her.

Meanwhile no one spoke anything in the car. It was raining too heavily but still Mehak asked the driver to drive fast. She repeated the same twice or thrice. The driver was getting irked and his attention deviated from the road when he turned to say something to Mehak and the car lost it's track and went off road.
