She lay in bed half asleep reveling in the pleasure of having someone take care of Dhru

How pleasant is this, she snuggled and buried her head into the pillow

He will not listen to her, not agree to turn off the lights, not switch off his video game, not put away his uniform and backpack, everything was a battle, food, bed time, HW, everything

She wondered if he was tired too

She got up and went to the living room they both were playing a video game on TV now

“Are u tired do u want to go to bed?” she asked politely

“Nope… I told him we stop at 11, that’s in another 18 minutes” he smiled

“No “11:07 PM, u said 32 minutes remember”

Mrunalini realized he was irritating Aatreya exactly like he did her

Aatreya signaled with a finger on his lips

“Are u tired? He can be very irritating”

“No I am not” he smiled

“I am going to sleep” she warned

“Go on… (nodding)Unless u are looking for company” he muttered

“Clever” she smiled chuckling… walked away

The next morning he was gone with the kid

She got ready quick and left for work

He had even made breakfast for her EGGS!

“YOU eat eggs?” she texted in shock

“I do, but don’t tell my parents”

“Any other secrets?”

“I sleep until 2 PM on Sundays if I can”

“I know that, u told me”

He sent just a smiley

“Thanks for breakfast”

“Sure”

“How was the call with your Baba.”

“Dad sorry”

“I get” smiling

She left it at that

An hour or so later

“I told him I asked you to marry me… begged you”

“OK” she said

He laughed thru many emojis

“Oh? My reaction?”

“Yes”

“They are not happy are they?”

He stared at it for the longest time, he paced his office, attended two meetings, didn’t know what to even say

“They are my parents they deserve my respect..” erased

“They think they know whats right for me, but I am an adult” erased

“They will have to accept you I chose you” erased

“Both my parents know about the proposal I gave them time to think and accept”
