Chapter 3

Part 2- Chalte Chalte

Shiva and Raavi had an eventful day after their DDLJ moment. Raavi waited for him while he got done with his work. She went around the place and took pictures to halt the time. She was happy. After so long she felt free. Moreover, Shiva wasn’t being khadus anymore. 

Shiva came out to see Raavi happily clicking selfies. He smiled as he had not seen her this happy in a while. She saw him and pulled him towards him clicking pictures with him giving him immense pleasure. He smiled in the pictures holding her closer to himself and she didn’t mind. After a few pictures, they looked at each other to say something and realised how close they stood. Raavi clicked the capture button and this would be her memory for life.  She smiled at him, leaning on his shoulder and clicked few more pictures. 

They walked back to the station which was half an hour away silently wanting to spend time with each other. They had a comfortable silence between them, their hands slightly touching and later Raavi caught onto his index finger. He smiled feeling her grab his finger. 

The day had been tiring for both of them. As they reached the hotel, they freshened up and hit the bed. Shiva slept facing the other side while Raavi faced his back. Unknowingly she came closer to him, wrapped her hand around his waist and hugged him from back. 

Shiva woke to realise that Raavi hugged him and slept. A tear fell of his eye. When she was herself coming closer to him, why has he been pushing her away? He loves her and maybe this was his last chance with her. He’s her husband and he would become the person who deserves her. He’s also a human and deserves love he thought to himself. With Raavi, it had always been all or nothing. This time he wanted to go with all. These 5 days might change their lives.

Raavi woke up and Shiva pretended to be sleeping. She smiled seeing him so close to her. She peeped the other side to see if Shiva was up. When she saw him sleeping, she hugged him tighter and placed a kiss on his hair. She unwillingly got up and made her way to the washroom.

Shiva was surprised by her actions. Did she really hug him fist thing in the morning and kiss his hair or was he dreaming? She just boosted his confidence. He was her husband and he definitely had a chance with her. He was going to give their relationship his all.

Raavi entered the room to see Shiva up. His hair all messy. Damn she had a hot husband she sighed. She diverted her attention to her earrings and starting getting ready for the day. 

“Toh aaj ka dare kya hai?” Shiva asked curious

She thought over it and smirked. She knew this was going to be a torture for him.

“Woo me like Chalte Chalte!”

Shiva went back to their memories. She had made him watch this movie because she had no one to go to theatre with for this movie. He had cribbed the entire movie about how unrealistic these things were. How unrealistically Raj and Priya had gotten married but look at his fate they ended up getting married in an even more unrealistic way!

“Oye hero kahan kho gaya?” She smirked 

“Soch raha hoon. Kaunsa scene select karu? Chocolate boy yaa X rated” he smirked 

“Aye maine kaha Woo me! That means shadi ke pehle wale scenes.” 

“Par hamari shadi toh ho chuki hai na?” He walked closer to her

Seeing him move closer, the earring she was trying to wear fell off on the ground. Shiva smiled, picked up the earring, deliberately moved extra close to her and made her wear the earring. 

“Mai naha ke aata hoon.” He whispered in her ears making her lose her senses.

He walked to the washroom causally happy with the effect he had on her. She boosted his confidence so much. Every-time she reacted to him he fell more and more for her.

As she felt him close the door of the washroom, she sat on the bed, her hand on her chest trying to slow down her racing heart. What was wrong with her bhoothnath today? She was supposed to torture him but here he was having fun teasing her. 

They moved out of the hotel and had breakfast at a nearby cafe. Once they were done, they hired a taxi and reached Marine Drive, Kochi. 

“Aaj kuch kaam nai tha?” Raavi asked surprised

“Nahi. Kal ki meeting hai ab.” 

“YAYYY! Matlab aaj sirf hum dono! Finally!” She giggled

“Of course! Hum tum or tumhari filmein!” He whispered in ear pulling her closer

Raavi caught her breath. She was unable to understand how he managed to do this to her. She was speechless. 

Shiva linked his hand with her and pulled her closer again. She came crashing into him. As she pulled her face from the crook of his neck, she was surprised to see him smile and then he put on a song on his phone and lip synced-

Raavi’s eyes went low trying to understand what was happening while Shiva made her look at him so she heard every word he sang. Her eyes met his and she was lost.

Humsafar mujhi ko chun lo na..

His hands made their way to her waist and she happily put her hands on his shoulder. They moved in sync as he sang the lyrics which were matching their situation.

Tum jo gumsum ho, to main hairan hoon

Yeh raaz kaise tumko bataaun

He hugged her and sang in her ears making her dizzy.

He walked away from her dancing around her spreading his arms. He went on his knees while she watched with awe. She went on her knees too and hugged him. 

Main bhi hoon tanha, tum bhi tanha ho

Shiva pulled back, cupping her face. As he sang with the song, Raavi realised this was so them. They were both alone. If they were together as lovers, life would be so much better. Raavi was in her thoughts while Shiva got up and made her get up too. He linked his hand with hers and ran towards the bridge from where water was clearly visible. As they stopped, she looked around. This was so beautiful! Her eyes watery.

He saw her smiling to him in tears. He smiled back and twirled her in the middle of the bridge. This was such a scenic view. She wished so hard that just someone could capture these moments for her. She landed on him again and met his eyes. They had so much love! Was she dreaming? If it was, this was the most beautiful dream she had ever had. 

Her hands were loosing lying on his chest while  his on her waist. Both of them smiling at each other. Raavi could not control anymore. Tears flowed from her eyes. She shifted her one hand from his chest to his face and kissed the other cheek. She nuzzled around his neck making him groan in pleasure. 

They heard giggles around and that’s when they realised they were in a public place! There were less people since it was just afternoon but obviously there were few. 

They blushed and sat on one of the benches nearby. Shiva saw a stall and signalled Raavi to wait for him. He came back with a huge teddy and put it between them. She looked at him with almost affection. He remembered this too? He had been cribbing the whole movie! 

Shiva and Raavi were walking the whole path hand in hand. They were all smiles. Raavi was super happy with the kind of attention Shiva was giving her and at the same time, the way Raavi reacted to him made him think if pushing her away did any good to her. Finally she was his wife!

They walked to a nearby dhaba and ordered food. Raavi ordered all Shiva’s favourite since she was in an extremely happy mood. After the food came she told the waiter to click their picture with the food. She knew for sure she wanted to capture moments on this trip. Her first trip with her husband!

“Tune toh zyada kuch khaya hi nai! Mai hi khaye jaa rha hoon.”

“Shiva pet bhar gaya.” Raavi cribbed

“Itna travel kar rahe hai! Khana toh padega!” 

With that, he shifted beside her feeding her bite by bite. She had never seen this side of Shiva. She was full but she didn’t want to miss out on the care of her husband. She ate few bites for him and then convinced him she would eat later.

They moved around doing some sightseeing. They were happy after so long! They bickered of course because how can they just not! However, they enjoyed each other’s company. They did not realise they were absolutely behaving like a couple!

The day went by and saw few temples, fishes and of course the marine drive. They had clicked a lot of pictures on Raavi’s insistence. They reached the hotel room and ordered in since they were too tired. The food came in quickly and they jumped on it.

They ordered their favourite Chinese. She ate a bit and was already full since she drank milkshake in a cafe. She saw him eat happily. Oh this man! Food makes him so happy. Everything on the table was finished and he had eaten like a kid! His food still around his lips. 

“Bacha hai kya?” She giggled 

She wiped his lips with her fingers. Suddenly aware she looked up and he was already looking at her. 

“Bacha nai hoon, Raavi. Issliye thoda sambhal ke reh.” He whispered loud enough for her to hear.

He removed her hand and cleaned his face with the tissues. 

Raavi blushed understanding the meaning of his words. What’s wrong with him today? Why can’t she just resist him!

“Mujse puchega nai?” Raavi started the conversation again trying to make things normal 

“Kya?”

“Ki mai paati ki nai?”

“Mujse nai paategi toh kisse pategi? Akhir mai tera hero hoon aur tu meri heroine!” He winked and walked to the washroom to change.

Raavi just stared at him as he left, unable to utter a word. It seemed like Shiva had also started enjoying the game. Moreover, he had started making her go speechless!
