Chapter 2

Part 1 - Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayege

Shiva had long back realised his love for Raavi. In a very short span of time she had caught his heart. Her innocence, love for his family and caring nature was not something he could miss while she just slept beside him everyday. He knew she wanted to give them a chance but he was scared what if things do not work out? He did not think he had it in himself to go through a heartbreak. He surely could not live without her. If staying away from her kept her near him at times be it. He would do anything to just keep her beside him.

Raavi had recently realised her love for Shiva. She realised he was so much more than she could even imagine. Staying so close to him made her realise he was surely pure gold as Dhara bhabhi constantly boasted. The love he had for his family, his selflessness and finally the man he was took her breath away. She thanked god everyday to make her realise that clothes do not define people. Personalities define people. Raavi literally fell in love with him more and more everyday as she got to know him. 

Previously, without any hesitations he caught her hands, pulled her closer and demanded answers like he was a part of her. Now, when actually he was a part of her, he was distanced. She wondered what had been happening. A while back, he had been staring at her, passing smiles and now he tried to stay away as much possible. She knew him. He obviously felt something for her and when he got to know, he would have got this extremely dumb idea of staying away from his own wife!

Gombi was with Dhara bhabhi since she was pregnant and wanted to spend some time with him. Dev was out for some work and Krish at college. Shiva needed to go out urgently for a vendor meeting and Gombi suggested him to take Raavi’s help. Raavi was too excited about the plan however, Shiva wasn’t that happy remembering the previous experience. They fought a lot at store before it time for Shiva to leave. Raavi looked adamant on handling the store perfectly. 

“Agar tune ek pura din ye dukaan sambhal li, toh mai 5 din tak teri baatein manunga.” Shiva challenged

“Deal. Peeche haata toh zindagi bhar tuje phatu bulaungi.”

Shiva just rolled his eyes and moved out of the store for his important work. 

Raavi smirked her plan was already in action. Since the time she realised she was in love with him, she had been putting extra efforts in the relationship but her kaddu pandya just kept on running away. She had found out a perfect way to torture him for next few days. She was going to ask to make her live her dream love life how exactly it was shown on screen. She wanted those cliche moments with him and he will have to give it to her she giggled and got back to work with full force.

It was a great day for Raavi. No Shiva no distractions unlike last time she giggled. All the customers had been calling her bhabhi, relating her to Shiva. This was so new but made her so happy. These new feelings made her happy in such little things. She was talking to few customers when Shiva came in. She saw the clock to realise it was almost closing time. She wondered how fast time went. She really loved working at the store. She now knew why Shiva loved the store so much. 

Shiva stood outside seeing her taking care of the customers with so much ease. He was stunned. He didn’t think she would actually manage things so well in her second time only with absolutely no help. Kaka had been out of town too. He entered the store making her feel his presence. She passed a soft smile to him and continued talking to the customers.

“Shiva bhai zara nariyal ka tel de dena.”

“Ji” Shiva got up 

“Arre mai de deti hoon. Vo kya hai na bhaiya aaj Shiva kamse pura din bahar tha. Thak gaya hoga.” Raavi piped in 

“Arre wah. Bhabhi ne dukaan kaafi achi sambhal rakhi hai.” Another customer piped in

“Of course bhaiya! Training maine apne patidev se jo li hai. Ek dum full proof.” She giggled 

Shiva just smiled at the customers.

“Ye lijiye aapka nariyal tel. Aur kuch?”

“Nai bhabhi Bas itna hi.” He smiled and left

“Bhabhi deliveries ho gayi. Ye lo paise.” Krish came in

“Thank you Krish. Tu ab jaa. Mai dekh lungi.” She pulled his cheeks 

Shiva put the stock properly so Raavi would not have extra work when she’s closing. He went to the store room finally smiling in peace. His chipkali managed everything so well. Moreover, gave him all the credit. He blushed while he put things in place. 

“Ab ye hasi se kuch nai hoga. Shartein maan ni padegi.” She spoke as she was leaning on the door

“Theek hai.” He said as he turned to meet her eyes

Oh my god those eyes! So intense! He’s just trying to intimidate you! Concentrate! She told her herself. 

“Kya chaiye tuje?” 

“Tere paach din. Tu bilkul meri tarah jeeyega.”

Shiva thought over it. How difficult could that even be? It’s just 5 days he wondered. 

“Theek hai.” 

They reached home and Gombi told Shiva to handle some work outside Somnath for a week. The first thing he did was look at Raavi for a reaction. First she was upset and then suddenly a smile crept in. 

“Kahaan jana hai Gombi?” Raavi spoke

“Cochin. Wahan best masale milte hai. Ek vendor hai. Prices achi lag rai hai.” He replied

“Kya mai bhi Shiva ke saath jaa sakti hoon? Maine kabhi nai dekha.” She said excitedly 

“Aye Cochin kitna dur hai. Flight se jana padega. Kharcha ho jayega.” Shiva spoke

“Koi baat nai. Abhi traveling kaafi kam chal rai hai toh mil jayegi ache bhav mein ticket. Raavi ka mann hai.” Gombi pulled Raavi’s cheeks 

“Chaho toh kuch din aur reh aana. Honeymoon bhi ho jayega.” Krish laughed

 Everyone laughed while Shiva ran behind Krish to hit him. Raavi was extremely happy and looking forward to the trip with Shiva for the first time. 

Raavi was happily packing for both of them while Shiva entered.

“Kya karegi aake?”

“Pura din toh tu busy nai hoga na? Gombi ne hi toh kaha.”

“Haa par phir bhi.”

“Muje bas tera thoda waqt chaiye, Shiva. Also, hamari shart!” She smirked 

“Tune bataya nai. Kya plan hai tera? Kaise torture karna hai tuje muje?” He made himself comfortable on the bed seeing her pack.

“Tuje toh pata hi hai, muje filmy rom coms kitne pasand hai. Muje unne jeene hai tere saath. Tu mera hero, mai teri heroine.” She smiled and sat beside him.

“Kya?” He asked amused

“Haa! 5 din, 5 movies, 5 scenes! Bas itna chahti hoon mai.” 

Shiva saw the twinkle and hope in her eyes, instantly melting without a thought he spoke 

“Theek hai”

“YAAAYYY” she squealed, hugged him and continued packing.

Shiva smiled to himself. He knew he was in trouble but anything for her smile. If this could make her so happy, he would do it for her after all what more did he want in life than for him to be her hero and her to be his heroine.

Next day they got up early and caught the flight in time. The reached Cochin and Raavi was instantly happy with the view around their hotel. 

“Chal ab fresh hoja. Humein sheher se thoda bahar vendor ko milna hai. Mai tuje yahaan chod ke nai jaunga.”

“Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayege” she spoke

“Kya?” 

“Aaj ki movie.”

“Scene mera hoga.” He grinned as he saw the time 

“Umm.. theek hai.”

“Chal late ho raha hai.”

They ran to the nearby railway station and the train was already in motion. He ran and quickly got onto a department and stretched his hand out. 

Raavi was running behind him wondering what was happening. She saw him hop on the train and got scared. He stretched out his hand and she realised. She ran towards him in full force. 

“Bhaag Simran bhaag.” He shouted as she ran towards him

She caught his hand and he pulled her up. She crashed into him and he caught her waist steadying her. She pulled back from the crook of his neck to find him smirking at her.

The people in the compartment started whistling and hooting for them.

“Kaisi lagi?” He teased 

She hit his chest in response and hugged him again. He laughed wholeheartedly hugging her back. This was going to be fun.
