Chapter - 30

Later, in evening, jamnalal went to Sid's room. Sid, who was playing with his phone, got surprised to see jamnalal in his room. They both hadn't talked to each other directly, yet.

"Can I talk to you for a few minutes" jamnalal asked, politely. Sid nodded, wondering to himself as what he got to talk to him in personal. 

"I think roli is being worried about something these days. Do you know anything about it?" Asked jamnalal. 

Sid was taken aback at his question. "I thought she was missing you" sid replied after thinking for a while. 

Jamnalal smiled and said "I hope that might be the reason. But, it's not". 

"Has she told anything to you?" Sid asked, thinking that she would've atleast shared her worries with her dad. 

"Roli has a habit of keeping her worries to herself. She'd rather like to suffer alone than making others worried. From past few days she's being sad and not talking much when I called her. That made me worried and I'm here today, leaving all my works there, to check what actually worrying her. But, if I ask her directly then she would never tell me the exact reason. So, I thought to take your help" 

"..Have you both fought?" Jamnalal continued, making sid stunned. 

"No" sid quickly replied. They could fight only if she talked to him properly, right? When she wasn't even talking to him then how could they fight. 

"Cause whenever I called, she just used to tell about you and how you both fight all the time. But, these days she hadn't told me anything about you. Even when I asked, she just tried to divert the topic.. so, I thought you both might've fought" jamnalal explained. 

"Siddhant, you might be wondering of why I'm saying all these to you. But, the only reason for this is that my daughter loves you. I don't know what do you think about her, but she really loves you. I know that she's a bit childish at sometimes but I'm sure that she'll never do anything to hurt you or anyone else. I can't see my daughter being sad and worried like this. Just once talk to her about it, I'm sure she'll listen to you" as an open-minded father, jamnalal explained everything to sid, patiently. 

After listening to him, sid said in a promising tone "I'll take care of her". 

Jamnalal smiled and left the room. Sid thought to talk to roli the next moment but, she was with sujata, helping her in preparing dinner. 

Sid waited until they all finished the dinner. When all went to their respective rooms to rest, sid went to roli's room. 

Roli was spreading the bedsheet on her bed, when sid entered the room. He went in and disturbed the bedsheet, which she arranged neatly. 

"What are you doing?" Roli felt annoyed and shouted at him. 

"This is what I'm waiting for" sid let go of the bedsheet and moved near roli. He was actually missing her bickering too badly. 

"You go to your room. I want to sleep" roli said as she turned around to go. 

"Just stop your dramas and tell me what happened" sid pulled her, almost in to his arms. 

"Nothing.." roli was quickly stopped by sid.

"Don't give me such crap answers. Tell me what's bothering you" sid held her face in his palms and made her to look at him. 

Roli felt like she was about to burst in to tears as she looked into his eyes. She quickly looked down and said "I'm just thinking to stop giving false hopes to myself". 

She was really worried that if in case that girl, about whom naina had mentioned, returned and sid would go back to her then what she'd do? She just couldn't imagine her life without him. So, she decided to move on, though, she knew that she couldn't. 

"False hopes? About what?" Sid asked, slightly confused.

"You" roli replied in a low voice, keeping her gaze fixed down on the floor. 

"You think me as torture, right? So, it's better I don't disturb you" roli continued as she fight back with her tears, forming in her eyes. 

This girl has gone crazy, was the first thought in Sid's mind, after listening to her. Had she still not understood what she meant to him? He wondered. The way she stick to the words that he told to annoy her, was making him to laugh at her. 

"Roli, seriously, is this the reason you're worrying about?" Sid felt like laughing at her silly reason. 

He cupped her face and made her to look at him. "Don't be stupid. And stop being worried over such pointless things" sid said, concerned.

Roli watched him in silence and hadn't spoke anything. 

"But.. tell me one thing.. why you're suddenly thinking like this?" Sid was rather surprised at her sudden change in behavior.

Roli, at first hesitated to tell but, she thought to clarify herself and started "on that day in restaurant.. naina said.." 

"You met naina?" Sid interrupted roli, taking back his hands from her face.

"She came to me and.." roli was again interrupted by sid.

"The point is you met her and you hadn't told me about it, yet" sid looked at her in all seriousness. 

Watching him being angry, roli couldn't speak any further. 

"I've clearly told you to stay away from her, yet you won't listen to me" sid started shouting. 

"Listen, roli..." After calming down his anger, sid started calmly. 

"I don't know what she had told you and I don't even want to know too. Cause knowing it isn't going to make any difference. But, let me make you clear about one thing.. just don't take her seriously and no need to think about what she says. And most importantly, stay away from her as far as possible" sid almost warned her, seriously. 

Roli just nodded her head in agreement as she was scared to say anything and make him even more angry. 

"Your dad is worried about you. Let him know that you're fine" Sid reminded her. 

"And.. you're not a kid to tell your dad about our fights and everything that happens between us. Just keep them to yourself" sid said as he thought it'd be awkward if she said everything to her dad. 

"I didn't tell him anything" roli retaliated with a pout.

"Don't start it now. I'm done talking to you. I've to sleep now, I'm tired" sid quickly stopped her from starting an argument. He then turned around and left the room.
