Chapter - 29

"roli, water" asked sid, who just entered the dining hall. Roli seemed to be in her own thoughts and didn't hear him.

Watching her with no response at all, sid called her name loudly "roli".

With a jerk, roli looked at him. "What the hell is wrong with you these days. You're behaving weird" sid said, observing the changes in her behavior from the past few days.

Roli quietly watched him as naina's words rang in her mind for the millionth time. A few days had already passed since that unexpected encounter with naina. Since then roli could only think about what she told, though she wasn't sure if they were true.

All these days, sid didn't fail to notice her. She even stopped arguing with him even after his provocation. She simply giving replies to whatever he'd ask her but talked nothing much. And these changes in her behavior made sid a bit surprised. In actual terms, he wasn't liking these changes in her at all. He'd rather prefer to bear her talks for hours continuously than watching her being silent.

"Is there anything you'd like to share?" Sid asked, indirectly. He actually wanted to know what was bothering her to such extent that she wasn't being herself.

"Nothing" roli lied, without looking at him.

"Yeah, of course what can bother you, instead you're the one who'll be bothering everybody" sid tried to trigger her to argue with him, which he was missing these days, very badly.

"That's the reason I thought to stop bothering you anymore" roli replied with a heavy heart as she turned around and left, without looking back.

"What's wrong with this girl now" sid wondered. Later he tried to talk to her again but couldn't get the chance as either mataji or sujata were with her all the time.

The later days sid got busy with his internship and project work. While roli continued to go to college and driver used to drop and pick her up from college as sid was busy.

On Sunday, sid had got some free time, finally. He went to roli's room as he hadn't talked to her properly since sometime now. Roli was reading a magazine, resting herself on the couch.

Sid went in, sat beside her and grabbed the magazine from her hands. Roli sat up straight, feeling annoyed at the disturbance. But, to his surprise she didn't yell at him. Instead, she simply stood up to move away.

"Hey, drama queen" sid pulled her to sit back.

Roli directly fell on his chest, making him to lean back on to the couch.

"What are you doing in my room?" Roli punched on his chest with her left hand.

"For your kind information, this is my house" sid replied, arrogantly.

Roli tried to get up from his chest but her open hair got stuck in his shirt's button.

"Ouchh" roli again fell back on to his chest. She looked at her hair, which was stuck in the button.

She tried to take it out while sid wrapped his hands around her. When she was busy with her tries, sid was busy in gazing at her as he was wishing to stop the time at the moment.

After taking her hair out, roli looked up and found sid watching her.

"Roli beta" before sid could say anything, they heard sujata calling roli.

"Maa is calling" roli quickly got up and went out.

"Papa" roli exclaimed in surprise, finding her dad, jamnalal in hall.

She ran over and hugged him in happiness. While sid too came down and stood along with other family members as he watched the scene.

"I missed you, papa" roli said like a little kid, breaking the hug.

"I missed you, too" jamnalal said, affectionately.

"You hadn't even told us about your visit here" rajender said as they were unaware of his arrival.

"Would it be a surprise if I told you already" jamnalal smiled.

"Then your plan got success as we're really surprised to see you here" roli replied with a bright smile.

Sid watched roli keenly as she looked more happy after meeting her dad. He even thought as though she might be missing her dad that she was sad all these days.

"I hope roli isn't troubling you all" jamnalal said as they all settled in sofa.

"Definitely not, she's.." sujata was interrupted by sid.

"Of course she is. She's such a torture" sid commented, gaining a cute glare from roli.

"Siddhant" sujata called sid to stop him from talking any further as she was worried that jamnalal might feel bad.

But, jamnalal laughed and said "It seems like you've understood my daughter really well".

"Papa, that's so mean" roli pouted, cutely.

They talked for sometime, before jamnalal went to take rest.
