Chapter - 20

"How are you feeling now?"  Sujata asked, looking at roli descending the stairs. 

"Fine, maa" roli reached her at dining, with a smile. 

"You seem not to get ready to college, yet" sujata observed roli keenly. 

Hearing the word college, roli once again drifted into the incident. She didn't want to go to college, when the words said by others at that incident played inside her head. 

"Ah.." she struggled to come up with a reason but, she couldn't. 

"Let her take rest, maa" roli heard a voice from behind. She turned to find sid standing right behind her, closely. 

Sid looked at her for a while and came to stand beside her as he continued "..If she again got ill after going to college then I'm not going to bring her home. Rather I'd let the college management to take care of her". 

Roli slightly pouted at him for his statement. Sid, though noticed it, he ignored her and said "anyway, I've taken permission for few days leave. She can be at home until she feel fine". 

Whatever happened was not a simple thing for a sensitive girl like roli. It needs time to move on from such things. And sid knew about roli well. While roli looked at him, surprised. 

"That's good" sujata said and turned to roli "you better eat on time and take care of your health, okay?" 

Roli nodded in approval as they sat on dining chairs. Soon mataji and rajender reached dining hall. And they all had their breakfast with their usual general talks. 

As everyone got back to their works after breakfast. Only roli and sid were left at dining hall. Sid noticed roli gazing at him. He raised his eyebrow as if asking 'what'. 

She just shook her head with a smile. He got up to go as she asked "are you going anywhere?". 

Sid stopped and turned to her and said "thanks to you that our movie plan got cancelled yesterday. So, going today". 

"I'm sorry" sid didn't expect her to say it. He fell silent and looked at her, who was gazing down, quietly. 

He mentally hit his head for reminding her of the incident, which he didn't intended. Looking at her blank face, he asked "would you like to join?". 

"You don't have an extra ticket, anyway" she reminded how he played around with her, the previous day. 

"We haven't booked the tickets, yet" At this, roli looked at him, surprised. "You should come" sid said as he thought something. 

Then he informed sujata about their outing and promised to take care of roli. 

After a few minutes of drive, they both reached a mall. There nitesh and arun were already waiting for them. Along with them, there was a pretty girl standing beside with them. Roli looked at her in surprise. While sid remained calm as he walked upto them. 

They waved hands at roli as if wishing 'hi'. While roli reciprocate the same with a slight smile. 

"Roli, she's ruchi. My girlfriend" nitesh introduced, pointing at the girl beside him. 

"Hey, roli. I heard a lot about you from sid" ruchi said with a casual smile. 

Roli quickly turned to look at sid, who turned away avoiding her look. 

"Shall we go in" sid said, switching the topic. 

As it still early in the morning, the mall wasn't much crowded. Sid, roli and all kept roaming to kill the time. They played games in gaming section for sometime. 

Sid looked at roli, who was busy talking to ruchi. He felt relieved as his plan of diverting roli's mind from that incident got success. He knew if she would be at home alone, then she'd think of that incident and feel upset all over again. Thus, his brain suddenly worked superfast this morning when he said to roli about going out to watch movie. He thought it as a chance to divert her and asked her to come. He then also messaged nitesh to bring ruchi along with him so that roli wouldn't feel bored alone with the guy gang.

Soon after it was time for the movie. Roli sat in the middle as sid sat on her right side, beside him was arun. While ruchi sat on roli's left side followed by nitesh. 

It was a romantic film. Roli subconsciously took her hand back, which was resting on the armrest next to Sid's hand, when there was a kissing scene between the hero and heroine in the film. 

That scene gave chills to roli. She turned her head away, trying to avoid looking at sid. When she looked at her left, she found ruchi leaning on nitesh's shoulder. She swiftly turned her head straight to the screen. 

There comes the another scene. And it was too intimate, which made roli embarrassed to watch, especially when sid was beside her. Sid observed her discomfort. He held her hand, which felt icy cold, might be cause of the scene playing in front of them. 

Roli looked at him with a 'what he's doing' expression on her face. Sid felt like bursting out into a loud laughter seeing her face. He wanted to tease her to no ends for her scary face. But, he couldn't as he didn't want to make her more embarrassed in front of many people. 

"Scene is over" sid slowly whispered in her ears as she kept her face down while the scene was running on the screen. 

Roli sighed as she looked up at the screen. Her hand was still in his hold. Neither of them mind to take it back. 

Gladly, there were no more romantic scenes further. And that made roli relieved. As for sid, he didn't even mind to watch them with roli. Cause for him, she was already his wife! though he didn't mention it to her. 

After movie, they went to have lunch. And after spending some more time, they all dispersed in their respective ways in evening.
