Chapter - 11

Roli took the watch given by sid, in her hands. She slowly caressed it as she reminded the previous day. All the moments she spent with sid were extremely special for her. She smiled to herself and wrapped it around her wrist as she got ready to go to college. 

After having breakfast, RoSid left to college together as usual. All the way roli was secretly glancing at sid, which very well noticed by him but, he pretended as unknown and continued to focus on driving. 

Reaching college, they both made their ways to their respective classrooms. 

After lunch break, roli went to library. There she saw sid, who was taking a book from the bookshelf. With a smile, she moved towards him but, before she reach, a girl went to sid and asked something to him. As roli was still standing in a fair distance, she couldn't hear what she said. 

Roli kept observing their moves, without going to them. Sid looked at that girl and turned to bookshelf. He then took a book from the upper shelf and gave it to her. She smiled at him and left from there. 

As the book that girl wanted being in upper shelf, she couldn't take it. So, she asked sid to take it for her and he did it. Roli came to the conclusion after witnessing the scene. But, soon she reminded one incident.

A few days back.

Roli was in kitchen, trying to take a tin from cupboard. But, it was kept in height, which she couldn't reach. At that time sid, who entered kitchen to drink water, saw her struggling to hold the tin. 

He moved near her and hold the tin. "This?" He asked while roli nodded positively with a sigh of relief as she thought he would help her. 

But, it didn't happen the way she expected as he took that tin and kept it in even more upper shelf. She turned around and looked at him in confusion. 

"Take it by yourself" sid stated with a smirk and left the kitchen, leaving roli behind glaring at him.

Roli snapped out of the memory as she moved near and blocked his way. Sid looked at her, confused, as she was giving killer glare to him. 

"What?" Sid was fed up with her glaring as he asked.  

"What are you doing? Flirting with girls?" Roli asked, crossing her arms across. 

"What? Flirting?" Sid shocked. 

"Then what you were doing with that girl?" Roli continued like a strict teacher. 

"I was just helping her to take a book" sid replied, gritting his teeth. 

"Oh.. when I ask for help, you will never do but, for others you are ready to help" roli sneered in anger. 

"I'll help whoever I want. What bothers you?" Sid yelled, losing his patience, forgetting the fact that they were in library. But, luckily there were none around them at that time. 

"Kadoos" roli shouted and rushed from there. While sid stood over there, confused by her behavior. 

Later they didn't come across in college hours. Even while on the way to home, roli didn't speak a word as she just kept her face turned to window and looked outside. And sid didn't mind to disturb her. 

After reaching home, sid settled on his bed as his mind occupied with roli. Back then in library, when he shouted on her, he didn't fail to notice tears forming in her eyes. But, what he could've done when she was blaming him for some silly things. He just lost his patience and shouted at her. When he was thinking all these, sujata entered his room. On seeing her, he got up and sat on bed.

"What did you do, siddhant?" Sujata asked as she sat beside him. 

"What I did now?" Sid got confused.

"Why did you shout on roli?" She asked while sid felt like hitting his own head. 

"This roli is literally a kindergarten girl. She even told to maa about such silly issue like a small school kid" he thought in his mind. 

"Maa, it's just nothing. Leave it" said sid, annoyed. 

"Ok leave it. But, can I ask you something?" She continued as sid nodded his head, wondering about what she would be asking. 

"Don't you really know that roli likes you?" Sid was stunned as he heard it. It would be definitely a big lie if he said that he didn't know. After all, how could he be blind to see the spark in her eyes when she looked at him and that smile on her face when she was with him. And all the other cheesy things which she would do to turn his attention at her. 

Sujata looked at sid thinking deeply. She smiled as his silence itself revealing the answer to her. 

"Don't hurt her" she said as she patted on his shoulder and left the room.  

At later evening, roli and sujata were preparing dinner in kitchen. Roli noticed sid entering in but, she didn't look at him. Sid glared at her and moved near cupboard. While roli and sujata got confused of what he was doing but, they didn't say anything. 

After a couple of minutes, sid turned to them, who were busy in their cooking and said looking at roli "are you happy now?". 

Roli and sujata turned to him and then shifted their attention to cupboard. There he arranged all the tins in lower shelf, which roli could easily reach. 

Sid left the kitchen without saying anything else after giving few more glares at roli.  

Sujata smiled at her son and turned to roli. 

"I said you already. He's like that since childhood. He's not expressive but, he really cares for people. So, you don't worry about it more" sujata said while roli smiled at her. 

Afterwards roli entered Sid's room with coffee. Sid, who was playing with his football, noticed her and thrown his ball at side. 

"Coffee" roli forwarded her hand with cup as sid took it and sat on edge of the bed while she too sat beside him. 

"Can I tell something?" Roli started, looking at him.

"As if I say no, you won't tell it" sid commented as he took a sip of coffee. Roli pouted at him. 

"That's right" roli accepted as she too knew that regardless of Sid's answer, she would definitely going to tell him what she got to tell. 

"Woh.. I.. think.." roli started nervously.

"It's really a wonder if you've forgotten how to talk" sid again commented, seeing her hesitating to talk. 

Roli glared at him for his continuous taunting as she said in a go "I think I love you". 

As soon as Sid heard those words from her, he splited out the coffee, which he was sipping and started coughing. Roli quickly got up and patted on his back. She then grabbed the water bottle and made him drink. 

It was not until a few minutes later, did he felt relax. He turned to roli and looked at her in disbelief. He was sure that she likes him but, never had he ever expected that she would say those words to him so directly. 

"Take rest" roli said with a smile and left his room. 

This made sid even more confused. He recalled all what happened just a while ago. Roli proposed him but, she didn't expect any answer from him as she simply smiled and left. For a moment he thought it might be his dream. But, no it wasn't. She indeed proposed him. Sid held his head in his palms, trying to gain grip over the situation and to clear his confusions.
