Chapter - 9

Days were passing as usual and by every passing day, roli's feelings for Sid have eventually increased. Though, she still couldn't able to figure them out. But, even without her own knowledge, she has already started falling for him more and more! 

As for Sid, after witnessing roli's tears, his behaviour towards her had changed. He wasn't rude or arrogant to her anymore. Although he still shows off his attitude but, roli didn't actually mind it as by now she was accustomed to his nature. 

As being a new place, roli hasn't have many friends. So she started treating Sid as one and was sharing everything with him. Regardless of whether he was interested in her talks or not, she just couldn't keep quiet when she would be with him. 

Sid even felt annoyed at times and ended up saying "how much you will talk?". But none of his refusals could stop her blabbering. Instead she was loving to make him annoyed with her talks. And that was not something he was unaware of. He very well known of how roli had always tried to gain his attention but, he wantedly showed it off as if he never cared. But, the fact was, deep down somewhere in his heart, he actually felt warm and alive, whenever she was around him. 

There were even situations where roli used to keep quiet for some reason. Then Sid himself had done such things which made roli to start her blabbering again. And they both would end up fighting with eachother. 

This was something which roli still not able to understand that Sid used to shout at her to keep quiet but when she actually had done it then he would force her to talk. 

And the same was happening now too. Roli was sitting in hall alone. Sid, who just came out from his room, went and sat opposite to her. He was expecting her to talk something. But, roli didn't say a word and even behaved as if Sid wasn't there around her. He knew it was like the silence before the thunder storm. 

"Seems like today sun had risen from West" Sid commented as roli being silent means something not possible, looking into his phone. But still he didn't get any response from roli. He then took newspaper from upon the table in front of him, rolled it and thrown on her. 

Roli caught hold of it and with a sarcastic tone, she replied "someone wants peace in this house, so I'm just giving it to them". 

At the moment, it triggered in Sid's mind. It was him, who said about peace to her, when they fought last night. 

"Thanks for your kind effort of keeping peace. Hope you'll continue it in future too" Sid said in a dramatic way. Roli glared and thrown the newspaper back at him, which he caught in time. 

Sid then unfolded the newspaper and spotted an advertisement. As if getting a chance, he exclaimed "exhibition!". As per his guess, roli turned her attention at him. 

"Exhibition! Where is it?" Roli asked, excitedly.

"Wherever" Sid didn't pay much of attention to her as he continued to look into it's details. 

Roli quickly moved to his and grabbed newspaper from his hold. "Wow! I want to go too" she said, settling down beside him. 

"Where you want to go, roli?" Sujata asked as she reached them, along with mataji.

"Exhibition, maa. I really want to go" roli replied, taking her eyes off the paper, to look at them.

"Ok, then go. Siddanth, take her" Sujata had given her acceptance.

"No way I'm gonna take her anywhere" Sid denied, swiftly.

Roli looked at Sujata and mataji with a puppy face. Mataji smiled at her and said to Sid "since the time she came here, she never went out even once. Why don't you take her out and show the places around. Anyways today is Sunday, you both have full day to enjoy". 

Sid thought for a while and looking at roli, he said "only five minutes, get ready and come out". 

As per Sid's words, roli went to her room and came back by taking her phone within five minutes. 

"Take care of her and comeback soon" Sujata reminded with concern as they started moving.

"I can't wait to see them as couple. Don't know when these both will stop fighting like tom and jerry; and goes well with eachother" mataji said with a hope as she looked at roli and Sid leaving together. 

"Their lives are already intertwined with eachother but, they aren't just realising it" responded Sujata as she hoped for them to realise soon. 

After good few minutes of drive, Sid stopped his car at their destination; exhibition. Roli, like an excited kid, jump out of car and ran towards the entrance, followed by Sid. 

As they entered in, roli looked around with excitement. There were different stalls all around. While looking around, roli's eyes fell on a little teddy bear kept in a stall. She dragged Sid towards it. 

It was a stall, which had different things attached with a balloon to each. One should shoot the balloon with gun and whatever balloon they would shoot, they would be rewarded with the thing attached to it. So that little teddy bear, which roli liked was also attached to one of the balloons. 

Roli took the gun and shooted but, it got hit to the beside balloon which was attached with a monkey toy. That shopkeeper took it and gave it to roli. 

"Monkey got another monkey, wow!" Commented Sid as he laughed at her. Roli glared at him and returned that monkey toy to shopkeeper as she said "I don't want this". 

Sid, as he tried to control his laughter, took the gun from roli's hand and shooted the balloon. And this time, it was the one to which little teddy bear was attached. Roli looked at him in surprise while Sid raised his eyebrows in pride. 

Sid was handed over by teddy bear while roli looked at it with a sad face. 

"Do you want it?" Sid asked, controlling his smile. Roli nodded as 'yes' but, she knew he wouldn't give it to her. 

"Then take it" he forwarded, making her surprise but, as she took her hand out to take it, Sid raised his hand and held the teddy up. Roli, who's height was barely upto his ears, it wasn't easy to take it from that height, even though she raised her foot. So, she gave up and turned against him. 

Sid smiled at her and kept that teddy up on her head and walked past her. Roli quickly held it, before it fell down and smiled looking at Sid, who was moving ahead her. 

Roli, with a smile, walking behind him. But, her eyes were still fixed at teddy bear. She was caressing it as it was the first thing she ever received from Sid. No matter how much they fight with eachother, but, she couldn't control the butterflies in her stomach whenever Sid would do something to make her happy. 

They both roamed every corner and tried all the rides and played games. 

"That's enough. We can leave now" said roli as she let out a sigh of relief. 

"But we haven't visited the actual place" Sid spoke up with a mysterious smile and pointed to somewhere. Roli followed his direction and was stunned to see the place. 

"Scary house!" Exclaimed Sid, holding his smile back. While roli looked like a deflated balloon. 

"No need of going there. I'm tired, let's get back to home" roli tried her best to not to show her fear up. 

"So, you're scared" Sid seemed like not letting her go easily. 

"No. I'm not" roli said, trying to be confident. But the fact was, she's hell afraid of even little creatures like rats and cockroaches, let alone getting into something like 'scary house'. 

"Really? Then prove it" replied Sid in a challenging tone and without giving her a chance to think, he held her hand and dragged towards scary house set. 

Roli was trying her best to not to look scared. She could endure this place but, she would definitely not give any chance to Sid to tease her. But in her mind, she kept praying to all the gods in the universe at a time. 

Sid could guess what would be roli's state at the moment. And needles to mention, he was absolutely enjoying to see her like a scary kitten. 

It was not until 30 minutes later, did they come out of the scary house. As soon as they stepped out of it, roli let out a big sigh which she was holding back since she entered into it.

Sid slowly went near her ears from behind and shouted "boom". Which made her to jerk as she jumped in fear.

Sid could no longer hold his laughter back as he ended up blurt out laughing loud. 

"Why you're laughing like a beast now?" Roli shouted at him as she composed herself from jerk.

"If you look at your face now then you too can't stop laughing" Sid continued to laugh which made roli annoyed to the extent that she started beating him.

It wasn't hard for a well built body like Sid to defend himself from a little girl like roli. So, roli had to give up as she left from there angrily. Sid, controlling his laughter, followed her as they both left the exhibition.
