Everyone go to their rooms.

DanSum

Danny gets water for Kusum & breaks her fast, making her drink water. He said, "Happy karwa chout. I have also fasted for you.

Kusum also makes him drink water. She said, "I wish you the same.

Danny kisses Kusum: I am so lucky that I got you back.

Kusum: Actually, even I'm lucky that I got you back in the same single state, whereas you could have moved on after my wedding with Pramad.

Danny: It was not possible for me to do as you are always there in my heart.

Kusum: If I knew about Pramad, I would have come with you on the wedding day. It was only because of Arjun, Kumud, & Saras my dad had accepted. Poor Arjun! Dad threw him out only because he loved Kumud & I could not do anything for her. Saras is a great guy but Kumud loves Arjun.

Danny: Yes, that is true but bro can handle it once he gets to know the truth. Everything will be fine. It is better if we don't interfere with them.

Both go to Samud's room to wish them

 

Danny & Kusum: Wish you a very happy karwa chout.

Danny: Bro, I have fasted for Kusum. How about you?

Saras: Yes, I have also fasted for her but I will break her fast first

Saras breaks Kumud's fast and said, "Happy Karwa chout.

Kumud makes him drink water.

Danny: Nice to see your love for my bhabhi.

Danny & Kusum leave and go back to their room.

 

Samud

Kumud takes out her jewelry as they were going to sleep.

When they were lying on the bed, Saras tries to have his moments with Kumud. However, Kumud is not comfortable. Thinking about Arjun, she bursts in anger.

Saras: What's wrong with you? Why are you behaving like this? We are married couples. We are husband & wife.

Kumud takes out her pallu and said, "If this is husband & wife relationship, so be it.

Saras puts back her pallu & said, "What nonsense are you talking? Have you gone mad? Marriage is not only about the physical union. It is the union of minds & souls. From the time we got married, I have been sensing that you are not that Kumud whom I have seen for the first time. Tell me the truth. Was this marriage forced on you? Or you don't like me or is there any other reason? Whatever is the reason kindly tell me before it is too late that we have to carry this burden all our lives.

Kumud is silent.

Saras continues: I have already told you I cannot tolerate lies. You tell me the truth, I will support you. I will handle everything.

Kumud is still silent. She is in a dilemma.

Saras: You won't gain anything by keeping quiet.

Suddenly somebody knocks the door.

Simran: Bro, bhabhi, please open the door.
Kumud wipes her tears & opens the door.

An alarm bell rings.

Simran: Stop the alarm else the neighbors will wake up. Get ready. There are some more rituals to be done. This is yours & Kusum's mooh dikhai rasam. Before that, we should have our prayers. If bro troubles you, tell him that I need to have my prayers.

Both of them laugh.

Kumud: I will get ready & come right away.

The next day, after the rituals, Saras goes out for his work. Guniyal comes to the house of both her daughters. Ghuman welcomes her.

Guniyal: I miss my children. So, I have come.

Ghuman: No problem. You can come whenever you want. From the time these girls have come to our house as DIL's our house is filled with light.

Kusum & Kumud come down.

Ghuman: Spend some time with your mother.

Guniyal: I will speak to each one of you privately.

Kusum & Guniyal go near the balcony.

Guniyal: I hope everything is fine.

Kusum: Yes, everything is fine. I am very happy here. But tell me one thing. Are you upset with me for divorcing Pramad?

Guniyal: I was upset but not anymore. We had fixed up your relationship at the wrong place. When we got to know that Danny is Saras's brother, I got convinced that your decision was right. Had you told me about this relationship, I would have convinced your dad & got you married to Danny.

Kusum: As per your traditions no one can love according to their wishes. So, I was afraid to tell you. And whatever you people did to Kumud was not right. She does not seem to be happy with the marriage.

Guniyal: Do you think we wish bad for you all? We fixed up Kumud's marriage with Saras as we felt that he is perfect for her. Had Kumud told about her relationship with Arjun, I would put that before your dad even before going to Saras's place. Call Kumud. I will speak to her.
Kusum goes to Kumud & said, "Mom wants to speak to you.

Kumud goes to Guniyal who is shocked to see that Kumud has not dressed up.

Guniyal to Kumud: How are you? We miss you a lot. Your dad asked me to visit your place.

Kumud: What does he want to see? Does he want to know whether I am dead or alive?

Guniyal: You are still stuck to that? You have not even dressed up or even combed your hair, No jewelry, no makeup. Don't forget that you are the bride of this house. You have got a good husband & good people. What else do you want? Don't screw up everything with all this stupidity.

Kumud: I will ruin everything including myself and even Arjun will do the same.

Guniyal: You are still stuck with Arjun. Don't take his name. He is your past who has already gone. Do you know what you are doing? You are still holding on to your past. By the time you realize that you realize that, nothing will remain with you. Saras is your husband. He is your present. Life keeps changing & you have got to accept those changes. Saras is your husband.

She looks at Kumud's neck & asked, "Why have you not even worn the mangalsutra? For you, it might be black beads but the day you realize its worth. Mangalsutra has got a lot of strength.

Kumud: It is a strength for you but it is a burden for me.

Guniyal: Why don't you understand?

She sees Ghuman coming. Both change her expression quickly and start laughing.

Ghuman: May I know what is the joke are you laughing at?

Guniyal: Mother-daughter discussions will always go on. I am taking a leave now.

Ghuman: Before you leave, please have something.

Guniyal: We don't have even a glass of water at our daughter's place. Otherwise, you will be taunting our daughters.

Ghuman: Of course, after all, we are the parents of both the boys.

Guniyal leaves. Ghuman goes to leave Guniyal until the gate.
