Part 12

Ghuman: Saras has gone to the court. Once he is done with the court case, we will send both the couples for the honeymoon.

The servant Vithal calls Kumud & gives her Arjun's letters.

Kumud: When did you receive them?

Vithal: Some of them were before the wedding & some of them are after the wedding. I was afraid of giving them to you as your dad was in the critical condition.

Kumud: That means Arjun was still there. If I had got those letters, something might have happened.

Vithal: It was too late

Kumud: Nothing is late in love.

Vithal: But it wouldn't have been possible for you to meet Arjun as he had promised your father that he won't keep any relationship with you.

Kumud: He had promised my father but not me.

Vithal: I advise you to burn these letters.

Ghuman calls him. The doorbell rings. Kumud opens the door & is surprised to see Maya. Ghuman welcomes her. Both go to the room.

Maya goes to the washroom to freshen up.

Kumud opens Arjun's letters. Maya comes out & sees that. Kumud hides them

Maya: Arjun is working in my music company. He sings all the songs with all his heart. It has got so much of pain & passion. He has told me everything. I wanted to tell this to Saras but everyone was busy. I could not tell this. So, I thought of meeting Saras. I have got the flight this evening. I need to go

She gives her visiting card to Kumud and leaves

Kumud starts reading the letter & is very happy. Saras comes home. He sees the letters flying & picks them up. He goes to the room & sees her reading love letters & gets enraged.

He goes to Kumud & drags her saying, "Why didn't you tell me that you love someone else? I kept asking you but you kept silent. You cannot play with my emotions and cause disgrace to my family. You cannot stay here anymore now

Kumud: I wanted to tell this but I was afraid what would happen if my father gets to know about it? He is a heart patient. I had married you out of force. Please don't drag me like this.

 

Saras drags her & puts her into the car.

 

At night, Saras meets Laxminandan.

Laxminandan: Have you gone mad? What made you take this decision of uniting Kumud to her lover in Italy? People will laugh at you & we all of us are there. What answer shall I give to the world?

Saras: Kumud loves someone else. She is not mine but she belongs to someone else. Do you want your son to live in sorrow for the happiness of the society?

Laxmi: You belong to the Rajput family. On top of that, you are a man. Can't you control a woman? Where is your manliness?

Saras: Is manliness all about thinking a woman as a weak person and controlling her happiness? Does manliness mean running away from the reality and truth? Does manliness mean staying with a woman who is physical with you but her mind and soul is with someone else? Tell me.

Laxminandan is quiet.

Saras continues: Dad, manliness means facing the reality and difficulties.

Laxminandan: It is all theoretical. They are just mere words which I hear in the court every day. It is all said than done. Will you be able to bear the moment when your wife goes to someone else whom you love so much?

Saras: Love is selfless. It is not about thinking about your happiness but the happiness of the one you love. Yes, it will be painful for me but her smile will erase all my pain. At that time, I would need your support and blessings.

He is about to leave. He hears the voice, "Saras.

Saras turns back.

Laxminandan: In the eyes of the world I am a great lawyer but you are a great human. I am proud of you my son. I believe that you will definitely win this case.

Saras: Thank you, dad

Both hug each other.

Saras & Kumud fly to Italy. Danny & Kusum come with them for the honeymoon. The background song is Saiyaaji ...

Danny & Kusum go to different place. Kumud is eager to call up Maya about her arrival to Italy.

Saras & Kumud go to the hotel room.

Saras: In such a big country it is very hard to find a person whose face we have not seen. But don't worry. I will trace Arjun.

Kumud: Do you think it is a joke?

Saras: We have to start from somewhere. I think we can get this information in the coffee shop or the music shop. So, get ready.

Kumud: No need of doing that. Maya told me that Arjun is working with him & she is aware of it.

Saras calls Maya.

Saras: I am Saras. Does Arjun the musician work with you?

Maya: Yes, he does but he goes to different places to give different shows. Our place is not fixed. Before coming, it is better you make a call.

Saras: Thanks, Maya.

Maya: I wanted to speak to you before your wedding but didn't get an opportunity as all of you were busy. When I wanted to speak to you, someone or the other were calling you.

Saras: It's ok. I understand.

The phone gets disconnected.                                                  

Saras: We need to get Arjun's personal number as well. Anyway, I am going to the music shop to get the numbers from the managers.

Kumud is struggling to open her suitcase.

Saras: I think you have forgotten the combination.

He tries to open it but Kumud said, "No, I will open it.

Seeing Kumud struggling, Saras forcefully takes the suitcase from her & opens it.

He said, "Get dressed.

Saras & Kumud go to the stop & wait for the tram to go to Maya's office. The train comes. Both get into the train & get down at the stop.

Saras calls up Maya but the network is out of the coverage. Saras goes to the music shop & meets the manager.

Saras: Do you know Arjun the musician?

Manager: I don't know English.

Kumud is waiting outside. She tries Maya's number. The phone rings.

Maya: We are here in this audition hall. Come soon with Saras.

The background song again begins with Saiyaaji ...

Kumud comes little forward & sees Arjun who is giving his audition. She is happy & starts smiling. She enters inside. Saras sees her & asks, "What happened?

Kumud still goes forward.

Saras meets an Italian lady. She asked, "How can I help you?

Saras: I am from India & am looking for the Indian musician.

Lady: I will help you with that.

She goes in search of the Indian musician.

Saras sees Kumud & said, "He is coming.

Kumud is happy. But gets disappointed seeing someone else.

Both go to the room.  Saras lits the fire inside the chimney.

Kumud storms him & taunts him saying, "You are finding it difficult to find the stranger in such a big city right.

She shows him the cartoon picture & said, "This is how Arjun looks like.

Saras: I am sorry.

He calls up Maya.

Maya: You are late now. The audition is over. Our schedule is unpredictable. So, it is better you give a call & come.

Saras: Can I get Arjun's personal number & address?

Maya: Sure. I will text you right away.

Maya sends Arjun's contact details to Saras & photo through WhatsApp.
