CHAPTER 1

CITY MONTESSORI SCHOOL ( CMS )

Siddhant took his bicycle from the parking area then rides it towards the exit gate of the school and when he was going out his eyes fell on a red jaguar passing beside him coming out from the school, he immediately recognizes the car and put the sudden break on his cycle and stops ...

His grip over the handlebars became tight, his eyes were filled with immense anger which turned it into red, his jaws stiffens and he kept glaring at the car which was of Parikshit Joshi whom he hates to the core and seeing his presence even after a quite long time his anger raises like same as it was back then when this man has pushed them out...

Without shifting his gaze Sid asked from the gatekeeper " why was he here ?? "

Gatekeeper: his son is enrolled in this school recently that's why...

Hearing about the son he swiftly turned to the gatekeeper to confirm what he heard was true or not and looking at his face Sid can clearly understand that he was saying the truth...a sudden rage rushed in his eyes he didn't say anything further and started paddling his bicycle moving towards his house " Bharadwaj mansion "

He kept increasing the speed until he reached his mansion, hurriedly he entered inside then parked his cycle and moved with quick steps towards the house...after entering he threw his bag on the floor in anger and shouted asking for Sneha " Maa... Maa .. where are you .. Maa "

Sneha who was in the kitchen comes running to him with confusion all over her face hearing his anger-filled loud voice, she calmly asked " what happened Sid "

" I want to change my school ... " Demanded Siddhant confusing her more

Sneha: why...is there any problem...

" Yes there is " replied him still in anger 

Sneha was so confused thinking what might have happened which raised Sid's anger this much that he wants to change the school itself, she cups his face then asked " what problem Siddhant ...what happened beta "

" Problem ?? .. what problem? " Asks Akshat entering the house, it's his habit to have lunch together with Sid and Sneha so he was here and as he enters he heard her querying to Sid about any problem moreover looking at Sid's school bag thrown on the floor he can guess that something is wrong...

Siddhant turned to see him and after having a look at him he again arched back to his position probably ignoring him, Akshat noticed the hatred in Sid's eyes at the moment their eyes met and he knows the only one whom Sid hates is Parikshit...so he quietly went near him while Sneha spoke " don't know Akshat what happened to him, he came in anger and now asking to Change the school ... He's not even telling what happened " 

Akshat: Sneha can you bring me a glass of water... till then I'll talk to him...

" But I don't want to talk to you Mr. AB, let it be mine I know what to do, you stay away " Sid denied Akshat to interfere in his matters...

This rudeness of Sid has hurt him little but he knows that for now Sid's mind is filled with the thoughts of Parikshit which are making him behave like this .. on the other side Sneha too was sad at the way Sid answered him, she looks at Akshat but he assures ' it's ok ' still Sneha asks " Siddhant, is this a way to talk "

Akshat: Sneha you go and bring water for me, I had asked for it right...

" Don't give orders to my Maa Mr. AB, she's not your servant so behave well " shouted Siddhant on Akshat as he felt he's ordering Sneha likewise Parikshit used to do, this time Parikshit is only revolving around his mind and now he's comparing him with Akshat...

" Siddhanttt ...ask apology now " Shouted Sneha seeing the way he was behaving...

" No need... mistake was mine too .. leave it Sneha I shouldn't have talked like that, I'm sorry ...and sorry to you too Sid and I promise I'll never give orders to Sneha even by mistake " Akshat apologized sincerely without giving a chance for Sneha to scold Sid which he thinks might become worse as because Sid is in anger now and he may take it in a wrong way...

Akshat: you want to change the school right it's ok you can .. I'll come tomorrow with you to take the transfer certificate...

" That I can do myself ...no need of yours, " says Siddhant and just moved from there to his room...

" Siddhant wait "

" Let him go," said Akshat stopping Sneha who was going behind Sid to talk about his behaviors...

Sneha: But Akshat, he was wrong he shouldn't behave like that to you

Akshat: don't worry, he is in anger now that's why he behaved like this else don't you know we're good friends ...

Sneha: friends ?? Akshat you are his father, he should give you that respect...

Siddhant was going upstairs ignoring their talk although he was listening to it after what Sneha said he stopped in his way, he was not in their eyesight so he just stood there to hear what would Akshat say on it ...

Akshat very calmly replied " Yes I am... I'm being called his father in this society because I have married you and my name is there in his but he haven't accepted me as his father yet Sneha and I want the place of a father in his heart not only in society and until I earn that place we are just friends .. best friends "

Siddhant was silently hearing everything, he didn't know what he should do how he should react, well he knows that Akshat is not at any fault but still he isn't yet ok to accept him as father and the reason he can't explain it to anyone ...

Akshat cups her face then told so softly " and you know what's a beautiful thing of friendship... it's that friends don't have any restrictions, any hesitations and here you are bringing your so-called respect in between us...you know friends have all the rights to get angry, to shout, to beat, to disrespect and I've given all these rights to him so now on you aren't going to stop him anytime it's between us we'll sort it out ok, you don't worry about him alright "

He completes leaving both Sid and Sneha in tears, Sneha was touched seeing the way Akshat is treating Sid even though when Sid hasn't accepted him as his father yet and had misbehaved with him .. on the other hand, Sid too felt that he misplaced his anger of Parikshit on Akshat, he shouldn't have done that, he had seen how Akshat take care of them, would love them but still, there's something which always stops him to leave the friendship and move on to the relation of father and son most precisely the bitter memories he had with Parikshit...

Akshat received a message about having an important meeting so looking into it he informed her " Sneha listen I need to go now I've got an important meeting "

Sneha: Akshat.. please if it's possible can you postpone it. I'm tensed about Siddhant

Akshat holds her hand and kept in her then replies " you remember Sneha every day when I come home I ask water from you in the same way and Sid never opposed but today he did, you know why ( Sneha nodded no while there Sid kept his head down in guilt when he remembers that it's Akshat's daily routine to ask for water which happened today too of which he overreacted ) he opposes just because he's disturbed with something and when he'll be able to handle himself everything will be fine just give him some time..let him stay alone for a while then you see he will become ok and to give him that time it'll be better if I go out then he'd feel good when he'll get his own time his place ...so for now don't disturb him he'll be fine my Sid is such a mature kid he knows how to overcome the situations ok..so don't worry ok " 

" Ok ..."

" Then let me leave, you both have lunch ok don't skip it, bye," says Akshat and left.

Siddhant heard everything he was feeling guilty of his act, he ran to his room then cries about what he did, he shouldn't have behaved like that with Akshat, he knows that Akshat is too different from Parikshit but sometimes he can't help it...

NIGHT ..DINNER

All were having dinner silently, none spoke anything, Siddhant was having his meal keeping his head down while Sneha and Akshat were glancing at times on Sid to see if his mood is ok or not ...after few more minutes in silence, Sid slowly spoke " mmm. I .. sorry " 

Akshat smiles and without looking at Sid he said " someone used to say no sorry no thank you between friends " 

" Sorry Mr. AB I should not "

" C'mon buddy no need to apologize, it's all ok ... BTW if you want to change school you can, If you want I'll come with you tomorrow, "asks Akshat 

Siddhant: no it's ok I can manage what's a big deal in it, just will go and ask for a transfer certificate and if they want will call you ...

Sneha: if there's any need don't hesitate to call him

" Ok maa " accepted Sid and then they had their dinner, Sid kept thinking about Akshat that is he ok for giving a place of father or not and here Akshat too was thinking about Sid that if the reason behind Sid's anger is Parikshit then what might have happened there...

The next day, CMS

After parking his cycle Sid moved towards the principal office instead of class he was sure to leave this school as he didn't want to be here when his son is also going to study in the same school moreover if he stays there then they may cross paths with each other and this is what Sid didn't want to happen, he never wanted to see Parikshit face again...

Thinking about all those he was going ahead but a cute voice grabbed his attention...

" First circle then second circle and then crossing them and then pull... ohhh no again wrong "

Siddhant roamed his head in the direction to see what's happening and he found a cute little girl was sitting on the ground and trying to tie her shoelaces ...

" First circle ( Roli made a circle from one side of lace ) and then second circle ( she did the same with other too ) and then crossing them ( she made both the circles touch each other ) and then pull ( she pulled both away without putting the knot ) again not done... Papa come here Roli needs you "whine Roli as she is continuously failing to tie her shoelaces

Siddhant who was continuously watching her every move with a smile slightly whispers her name " Roli " there was a new glow on his face, he was emersed in her forgetting about the work he was going to do ...

Roli kept trying for few more times and Sid was watching everything standing nearby her but Roli didn't notice him as her whole concentration was on her shoelaces... after trying for few more times when she couldn't succeed she left trying then stood up being frustrated and there were slight tears in her eyes as she failed in tying it...

" Aww... she's crying for this.." mumbles Sid after he noticed her teary eyes...

He slowly moved towards her while Roli too thought to move to her class and as she moved one of the lace comes under her leg and she was about to fall down but till then Sid came and stood in front of her so she collides with him Sid swiftly wrapped his hands around her hugging her preventing her from falling...

Roli's breath was yet to settle down so she just kept hugging Sid while here Sid looks down at her who was sticking to him, her hands were wrapped around his waist, and as her hands were little if compare to Sid's physique so she couldn't wrap it around properly and was holding his shirt tightly until where her hands reach... 

Sid smiles and whispers " you are so little " after looking at her whose head reaches just up to his abdomen ...

Roli made some movements trying to get out of his hold which brings Sid out from his thoughts, he looks at her and she too but for that, she totally tilted her head up to see him, both were silently looking at each other for a while, a smile appeared on Sid's face which makes Roli also to smile ...

Siddhant asks softly " you ok little girl "

" Roli...my name is Roli diwedi not little girl " frowned Roli as she wasn't ready to accept him Calling her as 'little girl' ...

Siddhant chuckles seeing her frowning he crouched near her then slightly pinching her nose he says " ok little girl .. I'll call you Roli "

Roli shrinks her forehead showing her anger then tried to scold him " no little girl only Roli "

Siddhant giggles looking at her efforts of scaring him but that didn't happen he felt it cute but still not upsetting her he fakes to get afraid " oh oh..sorry sorry ... only Roli ..no little girl ok... don't scold me "

Roli smiles widely on her victory of threatening him then she spoke " ok you are a good boy now so I won't scold you now "

" That means I was a bad boy before," asks Sid raising his eyebrows...

Roli rolled her eyes in all directions and slightly replied " wohh when you said, little girl " 

Siddhant laughs at her truth making her pout, she thought he's laughing at little girl but the reason was the way she gave a reason why he was a bad boy ...

" You are so cute " compliments Sid pulling her cheeks slowly to which Roli frowns a little...

" Areey what now I'm just praising you, " asks Sid seeing her cute anger.

" Why pulled my cheeks it's paining " complaints Roli rubbing her cheek...

" Ohh sorry sorry, ok leave that now tell me should I help with it, " asks Sid pointing her shoelaces ...

Roli thinks for a while then nods yes forwarding her leg in front of him to tie it ...

Siddhant holds her both laces and then asked her " you wanna learn? " 

Roli quickly nods Yes " teach me from circles before that I know "

Sid smiles at her truthfulness and then he started teaching her to how to tie it...

" Have you seen bunny?" asks Sid

Roli: Yes but only on TV I once asked for it but mummy said not now when you'll become big then will give and you see now I can get the candy boxes from the dining table without Papa help so that means I became big naa but mummy still says no you say am I not big

Siddhant laughs aloud and in between his laugh he answered " Yes Yes ... you are so big "

Roli: why laughing...

Siddhant: nothing...so yeah where we were...haa so you have seen bunny right you remember how its ears look 

" Mmm... yeah " answered Roli imagining the bunny's ears.

" So here is your bunny's ears " Siddhant shows her shoelaces rounding up from half making it look like it...

Roli: but mummy said its circle 

Siddhant: yeah it is but we can also say it as bunny ear right ..see

Roli: ok ok...so first need to make bunny ears then...

" Good...then you have to let these both bunnies hug each other " after saying it Sid makes both circles cross each other for putting a final knot...

" Bunnies ?...but you said bunny ears right then why now bunnies," asks Roli with a confusion 

Siddhant looks up at her on her query and then corrected himself " ok ok let the bunnies ear hug each other ... now fine "

" Yeah fine " replies Roli with a cute smile...

" And after that for putting final knot pull them apart "

" No...no .. don't separate them " shouts Roli hurriedly holding Sid's hand.

" What happened, " asked Siddhant with confusion seeing her like that

Roli: let them hug don't separate them Papa said we should not separate anyone when they love each other

Siddhant was dazed to hear such from her and also which shocks him more was her tears, she was crying just because he said to ' pull them apart '

" Areey what is there to cry in it ... I just said to make it easy for you to remember that's it " clarified Sid wiping her tears before it falls 

Roli: still don't pull them...

Siddhant: ohhh Roli ...ok leave give me your hand 

Roli gave her hand to him, Sid holds it then he kept his pinkie finger on her making a cross " ok now let's do it with our fingers, now you pull your finger towards you and I'll to me ok "

Roli shakes her head accepting it and with her other hand she pulled her finger as Sid said and sid too did the same which results in locking their pinkie finger ...

" Now see and tell me do they look like separated ( Roli nodded no with a smile ) yeah they aren't and the same will happen with bunny too they won't separate but would be tied together strongly " explains Sid bringing a smile on her face

" It's bunny ears, not bunny you always forgets " reminds Roli slapping on his head 

" Yeah yeah bunny ears " corrected Siddhant rolling his eyes and then tied her shoelaces 

Roli claps that finally it's tied and Sid smiled seeing her excitement..." Yeyyyyyyyyyy they're together now " 

Siddhant: who

Roli: Bunny ears...

Siddhant slapped his head and murmured " she's taking this seriously .. stupid girl "

Siddhant raised his head and asked her " BTW how do you know that they love each other so asked me not to separate them "

Roli with all her innocence answered " you only told right that they hugged each other and when anyone is in love then they hug naa .. don't you know this much too "

" Ohhh ok " agrees Sid with a stammer as he was yet to believe that a little girl is talking about love and separation...

Roli: yeah you know when I asked Papa why we hug he says when someone hugs you that means they love you ...

Siddhant: ok ok now understood...

" Good boy " appreciated Roli and Sid chuckles...

" So friends," asks Roli forwarding her hand to him

With a smile, Sid gave his hand too but before they touch Roli took her hand back confusing him, he asked " what happened now "

" You haven't told your name " 

" Oops sorry ..my name is Siddhant " he introduced himself again forwarding his hand towards her...

" Your name is so big ..mine only four letters and your 1, 2, 3 ... total 8 letters "  counted Roli with little shock.

" Just twice of yours," said him making her eyes got wider and Siddhant laughs looking at her shocked face.. controlling his laugh he  told " then you keep short one for me "

" Really I can, " asks Roli jumping in excitement...

Siddhant nods giving acceptance to her and here she started thinking what name to give " you can call me Sid too " suggested Sid

" No, I'll keep different "

Siddhant: ok as you wish... I'm waiting to know your different name

" Shhi " 

Siddhant: what...

" I said Shhi ... S H H I " spells Roli to make him clear.

" Why " queries Sid as he couldn't get the reason why she chooses it.

Roli: first letters of your name naa buddhu

" But that's Si right," he told still being in confusion

Roli: but Shhi has four letters like mine naa

" Ohhh so will add anything to make it four letters just to match with yours, " asks Sid raising his eyebrows to get a confirmation of it

" Yes Yes ... like that only... If I just say Si then my name will become big from yours then how will you remember my name but now both are of equal letters " explained Roli so sincerely

Siddhant laughs at her explanation and Roli was just looking at him confused as for her she says the fact then why is Sid laughing .. watching her so confused Sid stopped his laugh " Ok madam as you wish " surrenders Sid accepting his new name making Roli jump in happiness...

" Yeyyyyyyyyyy then now let's do again, I'm Roli " Roli kept her hand in front of him.

" I'm siddh.. ( Roli glared at him with a stern face knowing what he was about to say to which Sid changed his words ) .. Shhi. I'm Shhi " Sid spoke, Roli smiles on it and both shake their hand starting a new friendship...
