The sky rumbled, d lightening flashed n d rain sprinted. D dogs barked summoning all its nearest friends. Across d streets of New York, d 3 people ran for their lives in d midnight as something chased them. A young man in his 30's stumbled upon a rock n fell on d asphalt road.
"Dad" D young beautiful girl stooped low checking on her father. "U okay?" she concerned.
"I'm ok, baby. U shouldn't be worried about me now." He stroked her hairs. "I can't come along anymore. U should take d path alone" he suggested.
"Stop it dad" she sniffed. "I'm not going to leave u alone" she warned. "U have to Taani" her father emphasized. "Vicky will lead u to d destination protectively, follow him dear" he looked at Vicky who was restlessly squinting back. "I will Mr.Roy, do not worry" Vicky reassured.
"But where n why? What u both r talking about?" Taani chided. She was bewildered by d behavior of her dad n her BFF Vicky. From d past 4 hours they running like maniacs when Vicky showed up in their house n had a convo with her father. Vicky had said "It's time" n her father agreed without cutting him. It was beyond her understanding.
"Once u reach d place, u will get to know everything. Trust me." Mr.Roy promised her."Remember one thing, u r not just a normal girl, my dear. Use ur wisdom n make sure to stand by right side n fight. U got a role to play in d game of destiny. N haan, make ur mom proud of u" he briefed.
Taani couldn't grasp a single meaning of it. Fight with what? It was driving her insane. But she quietly listened to him without interrupting. But, on d sentence of Make-ur-mom-proud-of-u', her whole body burned with disgust. She never ever saw her mom from childhood. Whenever, she asked her father about her, he simply diverted d topic telling She's present where she should be'. But she simply ignored his father's statement.
"We should hurry, Mr.Roy" Vicky sensed d attack was near. "No, I'm not leaving dad alone" Taani wheezed. "Don't worry Taani, Mr.Roy will be safer if he doesn't come with us." Vicky put forth.
"What? But how can u be so sure?" she argued. "Because, I'm a mortal, my dear" Mr.Roy reasoned.
"Dad, u both r confusing me" Taani complained. "There is no time to talk, Taani. We both should leave now." Vicky pleaded watching out d surroundings.
"I'll be fine, I promise" Mr.Roy owed wiping her delicate cheeks which was soaked with tears. Taani hugged her father hopefully not d last time. "Go on." He pecked her forehead. She kissed on his cheek. Vicky held her hand n scooted in d amidst of skyline building routes.
