Zoya Afroz on her next 'Objection my Lord': "drawing inspiration from my father made the role more....."

After having worked in movies like Maan and Hum Saath Sath Hai as child artist, Zoya Afroz delivered her best in various other projects like Matysa Kaand and Mukhbir. The young budding actor is all set and geared up for her next movie titled ‘Objection My Lord.

“The script of "Objection My Lord" was simply captivating. The blend of courtroom drama with elements of black magic was intriguing and unlike anything I had done before. The character of a lawyer, who is both fierce and compassionate, resonated deeply with me. Plus, the opportunity to draw inspiration from my father, who studied law, made the role even more special”, she says.

Talking about preparing for her role as a lawyer, Zoya says, “I spent a lot of time understanding legal jargon, courtroom procedures, and watching real court cases to get the nuances right. I also had lengthy discussions with my father, who studied law, and friends who are practicing lawyers. This preparation was crucial in bringing authenticity to my performance. I actually watched a lot of real courtroom trials that are available online. It’s the distinctiveness of this script that allowed me to explore new dimensions in my performance, making it a refreshing and exciting challenge”.

Objection My Lord shoot is wrapped up and the movie is in post production now. Zoya plays the main lead actress in the show and will be paired opposite television actor Pearl V Puri
