Mumbai, April 30 (IANS) Fashion designer Archana Kochhar, who designed clothes for yesteryear actress Zeenat Aman for an event, says the actress is still a style icon and comes without any baggage and prejudice.

'It was a pleasant experience and great privilege to dress up the diva herself - Zeenatji. She came without any baggage and prejudice and looked like a dream in what we have designed for her,' Kochhar told IANS in an interview.

'She is in true sense a style icon. She looks gorgeous and has the sensual panache even today. It was almost surreal to design for a legend,' she added.

Kochhar is designing for an initiative called 'Beti' that campaigns against female foeticide. A fashion show has been organised here Saturday to bring mass awareness about the cause.

Apart from Zeenat, as many as 50 other celebrities will walk the ramp. These include Barbara Mori, Zarine Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Amrita Rao, Perizaad Zorabian, Yukta Mookhey, Suchitra Krishnamurthy, Neelam Kothari, Shilpa Shetty, Mugdha Godse, Suchitra Pillai, Tulip Joshi, Isha Koppikar, Jackie Shroff, Shakti Kapoor and Gulshan Grover.

Talking about the experience of dressing up these celebrities, Kochhar said: 'Fifty people come with 50 different personalities and body types, so to design according to their personal preferences and measurement was (quite) a task within itself.'

'But our show is like a theatrical presentation depicting each individual like a flower and we have tried to pull out the best looks that reflect their individual flare,' she added.

The theme of the fashion show is 'Secret Garden' and it is a journey of four seasons and how they contribute to the landscape. The show is divided into four segments dedicated to the four seasons.

As the fashion show is for a cause, Kochhar feels that such initiatives are 'great'.

'Such initiatives generate great social awareness about evil practices and help people to think and put their best feet forward to eradicate such shameful deeds,' Kochhar explained.
