Zee Super Sixes Tournament Concludes With Much Fanfare

Intelenet Emerges Winner of the Zee Super Sixes Tournament and bagged the sizzling gold trophy. International cricket stars and glamorous television personalities graced the occasion with their enthusiastic presence.

Reiterating its promise to provide maximum fun, serious cricket and an entertaining experience to the corporates, the Zee Super Sixes Corporate Cricket Challenge saw the finals on Sunday 9th March at Police Gymkahana. Intelenet won the tournament. Rohan Bane from Intelent was declared Man of the Match.

The tournament saw an impressive participation from International players like Aravinda Desilva, Romesh kaluwitharana, Russel Arnold, Craig Macmillan, Lance Klusener, Andre Adams, Mohammed Azharuddin, Vinod kambli, Rohan Gavaskar, Deep Das Gupta, Abhishek Jhunjhunwala and Hemang Badani. A special exhibition match – ‘Indian Telly Squad v/s Best of the Rest’ was played between popular television stars and the best of the players from the tournament. The television stars who graced the occasion included Manav Vij, Naman Shaw, Himanshu Malhotra, Pieyush Chopra, Jai Soni, Jatin Shaw and Karan Vir Sood.

The winners of the tournament, Intelenet, walked away with a trip to Sri Lanka to watch India play against the host at a one day match to be held in the month of April. Air India, India’s national carrier, presented the prize winning tickets to the 8 members of the winning team.

Zee Sports will telecast highlights of the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals on the March 16th 2008.
