Youtuber Armaan Malik speaks on 'Arms Liscence' denial; calls Delhi case 'jhootha aur be-buniyaad'

Armaan Malik, a YouTuber known for his unconventional family setup and recent appearance on Bigg Boss OTT 3, has raised concerns about his and his family’s safety. In a video shared on Instagram, Malik—who resides in Zirakpur, Punjab—spoke publicly about the repeated threats he has received and the challenges he is facing in getting an arms license approved.

Armaan Malik, along with his second wife Kritika, recorded the video to highlight what they claim is a long-standing struggle for security clearance. Speaking directly to the camera, Armaan stated, “Main pichhle paanch saal se Zirkpur, Punjab mein reh raha hoon aur kaafi time se mujhe dhamkiyaan mil rahi hain… FIR bhi ho chuki hai.” He went on to explain how he has been visiting police stations and government offices for the past five months, yet he has not received a clear response from the authorities.

The YouTuber claimed that a few days ago, an unknown car started following him. He dialed the emergency police number and provided full details, including the vehicle registration number. However, he said that no further updates were shared with him. “Har baar mujhe ye kehkar taal diya jaata hai ki ‘aapke upar Delhi mein case chal raha hai’,” he added, denying any criminal background. Malik also emphasised his faith in the judiciary and described the case as “jhootha aur be-buniyaad.”

His wife Kritika echoed similar concerns, stating, “Hamare bahut chhote-chhote bachche hain… safety ke liye arms license zaroori hai.” She clarified that while Armaan is a social media figure, their content has always remained family-oriented and non-provocative.

The Charges

According to court records, the allegations against Armaan Malik date back to 2019. He is charged under several grave sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 328 (causing harm by means of poison), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 354 (assault or criminal force on a woman), 376A (punishment for causing death or persistent vegetative state in rape), 366 (kidnapping), and 34 (acts done by several persons with common intention). Additionally, sections 4, 6, and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act have been applied.

The charge sheet presents a disturbing picture. It states that Armaan Malik, whose real name is Sandeep, allegedly gave the victim an injection containing drugs before raping her. The crime, according to the complaint, took place in December 2018. The victim’s statement adds further weight to the allegations, claiming that she was physically assaulted by Malik on multiple occasions.

A part of the victim’s testimony mentions: “Sandeep bhaiya mujhe gusse mai aane par thappad bhi maar dete the.” She also claimed that Payal Malik, Armaan's first wife, was aware of the abuse but did not take any action. “Payal didi ko sab pata tha par vo mujhe chutti nahi deti thi,” the statement reads.

The charge sheet identifies the victim as Naina, who worked as a 24-hour domestic help at the Malik household. The gravity of these claims has raised significant concern, especially given Malik’s massive online following and his presence in family-friendly digital content.

Malik and his team have denied the allegations from the beginning. Despite being arrested in 2019, he was released on bail, and the legal proceedings have been ongoing since. No verdict has been reached yet.

His recent plea for an arms license, however, brings the case back into public view. Malik insists he only wants protection for his family and alleges that continued delay in issuing the license could leave his household vulnerable.

While Malik continues with his YouTube content and public appearances, the shadow of the 2019 case looms large—one that Punjab officials clearly consider too serious to ignore when it comes to issuing an arms license.
