Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Here's why Armaan and Abhira end up in a chawl

In tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan reflects on the challenges ahead, acknowledging that his life will not be easy. Seeing his predicament, Abhira decides to stand by him. Meanwhile, Shivani reminds everyone that Vidya was the one who raised Armaan, to which Armaan responds by accusing Vidya of doing so for her own gain. He confronts her, questioning her selfishness. Vidya, however, refuses to let him go, insisting that he belongs with her.

Kaveri steps in, urging Vidya to release Armaan, believing that his struggles will eventually lead him back. Both Shivani and Abhira lend their support to Armaan. Sanjay, on the other hand, makes a scathing remark, saying that Armaan has earned nothing but a shoe despite working for the Poddar firm. In response, Armaan removes his footwear. Rohit attempts to stop him, while Manoj and Manish also try to intervene. However, Kaveri declares that if anyone follows Armaan and Abhira, they must sever ties with her.

Madhav, unwilling to abandon his son, decides to go after him. In a desperate attempt to stop him, Vidya threatens to end her life if Madhav leaves with Armaan and Shivani. Despite the chaos, Armaan, Abhira, and Shivani set out on a new journey. Abhira offers Armaan the chance to take one last look at his former home, but he firmly refuses, choosing to cut all ties with it. As a show of solidarity, Abhira removes her footwear as well. Armaan then tells her she is free to return to Manish if she wishes. However, Abhira reassures him that she will stand by his side, as he is the only one who truly matters to her. Meanwhile, Shivani blames herself for Armaan and Abhira's struggles, but they quickly comfort her, insisting that she is not at fault.

Armaan and Abhira take Shivani to her old house, where she reveals that Armaan was born there. Upon hearing this, Armaan decides to begin his new journey right from his birthplace. However, they are taken aback when they find Kaveri and Sanjay already there. Abhira deduces that Kaveri must have bought the house. Kaveri then mocks Madhav, revealing that he had been foolishly paying rent for the house without knowing she owned it. She firmly believes that Armaan's struggles will eventually force him to return to the Poddars. Unwilling to accept any favor from her, Armaan outright rejects her offer.

Meanwhile, Sanjay worries about the firm's reputation, fearing that their clients will withdraw once they learn that Armaan has left. Kaveri remains unfazed, declaring that she will take legal action against any client who chooses to leave due to Armaan's departure. Back at the Poddar house, Madhav confronts Vidya, accusing her of emotionally manipulating Armaan and using him for her own advantage. Rohit, on the other hand, contemplates calling Armaan back. Madhav, reflecting on past events, remarks that he had always warned Armaan to stay away from the selfish Poddars, but his son refused to listen. He believes Armaan will now have to learn his lessons the hard way.

Later, Armaan looks after Shivani, feeding her food. However, his decision to leave the Poddar family does not sit well with the other lawyers, who taunt him. Abhira immediately steps in, defending him against their mockery. To support him further, she brings him a pair of footwear. Just then, Shivani suddenly collapses, leaving Armaan and Abhira in shock.
