'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' completes 1,000 episodes

TV serial "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" has completed 1,000 episodes and Karan Mehra is confident of many such milestones.

"As we keep moving forward, we will keep getting these mementoes and we'll soon meet you on 2000," Karan, who plays Naitik in the serial, said.

"Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" premiered Jan 12, 2009 on Star Plus with Heena Khan as the female protagonist Akshara. The show is aired Monday to Saturday.

"It is a happy occasion for all of us, for our whole team to complete 1,000 episodes, you know, to just listen that we have completed 1,000 episodes sounds awkward," said Karan.

"I would like to really thank the audience for all their love that they have been giving us for so many years, thank you so much," he added.
