Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Armaan and Abhira face scrutiny from the chawl

In tonight’s episode, Armaan and Abhira arrive at their new home, but adjusting to the unfamiliar environment proves to be a challenge for Armaan. Sensing his discomfort, Abhira encourages him to stay positive. Meanwhile, Kaveri comes to know that Armaan and Abhira are facing difficulties due to Shivani’s situation. She discovers that Shivani is unwell, and Abhira has been covering her medical expenses. Sanjay informs Kaveri that Abhira has been standing by Armaan’s side, offering him unwavering support. Kaveri acknowledges that Abhira is ensuring Armaan doesn’t lose hope, but she worries that history might repeat itself. She fears that Armaan may eventually settle with his family, away from the Poddar household.

On the other hand, Abhira and Armaan begin tidying up their new place. Armaan grows anxious about how he will contribute financially, but Abhira reassures him, deciding to utilise her savings for the time being. She remains optimistic that Armaan will soon secure work, and they will gradually build a stable life together. However, Armaan struggles with the thought that Abhira is the one handling everything alone. Seeing his concern, Abhira comforts him and later makes up her mind to bring Shivani back home.

While settling in, the couple notices that their tap isn’t working properly. Abhira comes up with a solution, suggesting they fetch water from a nearby source. They join a queue to collect water, and Armaan, unfamiliar with such situations, admits that he has only seen such struggles in movies. Abhira tries to lighten the mood by telling him to view their current life as a film in itself. Armaan, however, worries about the time they are losing while waiting in line. To make the best use of their time, Abhira decides to purchase household essentials and makes a list of necessities, avoiding any expensive items. She asks Armaan to continue waiting in line until she returns. Feeling uneasy, Armaan asks if she is going to leave him alone, to which Abhira playfully insists that he stay put.

While Armaan waits, a group of girls nearby takes notice of him, commenting on how he appears to be from a well-off background. One of them speculates that he might have eloped with Abhira, but another girl quickly corrects her, pointing out that Abhira is married. Meanwhile, the women standing in line cleverly trick Armaan into letting them move ahead. A young boy watching the scene mocks Armaan for being outsmarted. When Abhira returns, she realises what has happened and immediately asks Armaan to head back home. However, she decides to confront the women about their behaviour, which ultimately forces them to return to their original spots in the queue.

As the hardships continue, Abhira accidentally injures her foot but chooses to conceal it from Armaan, fearing that their financial burdens will only add to his stress. Later, Armaan confesses to Abhira that he was unable to secure a job.
