Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Abhira reaches Mount Abu to reunite with Armaan, but returns home heartbroken

In tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Maira puts forward a surprising request to Armaan, asking him to marry Geetanjali. Although Armaan tries to explain why that isn't possible, Maira keeps pressing him for an answer.

When Armaan reminds Maira to take her injection, she refuses, stating that she won't do so unless he agrees to her demand. She firmly expresses her desire for Geetanjali to become her mother.

Geetanjali, noticing Maira's condition, checks in on her well-being. Maira stays strong on her decision, insisting that Armaan must marry Geetanjali if he wants to see her healthy and happy. She makes it clear that she wants Geetanjali to stay in her life permanently.

Meanwhile, Abhira makes up her mind to travel to Mount Abu after Armaan unexpectedly reaches out to her after seven years. She secretly prepares for the trip without informing Kaveri and Vidya, hoping to meet Armaan and also find Pookie.

Back at the hospital, Maira sticks to her stance, refusing treatment until Armaan agrees to her wish. Geetanjali expresses how much Maira means to her, and Maira responds with the same warmth, showing how attached she is to her. Despite Armaan's attempts to reason with her, Maira refuses to give in.

Elsewhere, Kaveri and Vidya start looking for Abhira. Kaveri suspects that Abhira may have gone to meet Armaan, which leaves Vidya stunned.

As Abhira reaches Mount Abu, she finds Geetanjali hurt and becomes concerned about Maira's condition. But her emotions take a turn when she sees Armaan again, only to witness him proposing to Geetanjali, who says yes. Armaan feels Abhira's presence nearby, and shortly after, Abhira crosses paths with Anshuman.

Maira is thrilled by Armaan's agreement to marry Geetanjali. However, Armaan is battling inner conflict as memories of Abhira come flooding back. He admits to himself that he doesn't have the strength to speak the full truth.

Later, Maira asks Dadu to click a family photograph. Meanwhile, Armaan is increasingly disturbed by his thoughts and feelings and excuses himself.

Anshuman notices something is troubling Abhira and gently tries to talk to her. Afterwards, he informs Kaveri that Abhira is safe with him and promises to drop her back.

While returning home, Anshuman stops to grab tea for both of them. Left alone in the car, Abhira finds herself consumed by pain and emotional turmoil. She starts connecting the dots, assuming that Maira is Geetanjali's daughter. The thought that Armaan has given Maira the place meant for Pookie, even before marrying Geetanjali, leaves her shattered. She feels deeply hurt, believing that Armaan has completely forgotten about Pookie. In her overwhelmed state, her hand unknowingly reaches toward the handbrake. Without realising it, the car begins rolling backwards, leading to a dangerous situation. Just in the nick of time, Anshuman arrives and manages to prevent a mishap, rescuing her from the accident.

Elsewhere, Armaan remains lost in his own world, tormented by constant thoughts of Abhira. While going through his wallet, a photo of her pops out, triggering an emotional wave within him. Though he struggles with feelings of resentment and denial, deep down, he accepts that his love for her never faded.

He reflects on his decision not to reveal the truth to Maira and Geetanjali—that the woman Maira longs for as her mother lives in Udaipur and holds a special place in both their lives. Armaan speaks to the photo as though Abhira were right there, pouring out everything he's been hiding. He recalls how Maira had made an unexpected demand and how her condition was deteriorating to such an extent that he felt helpless to refuse.

Acknowledging the difficult choice he had to make, Armaan confesses to the photograph that he chose to break Abhira's heart in order to protect Pookie's dreams. Just like he had put Pookie first seven years ago, he feels bound to do the same once again.

With a heavy heart, he kisses the photo, quietly hoping that someday Abhira might forgive him.

Anshuman brings Abhira back home, where Vidya and Kaveri are stunned to see her in such a broken state. Anshuman tells them to reach out if they need any support. Kaveri then gently asks Abhira if she witnessed Armaan with Geetanjali.
