Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Armaan confesses he can't love Geetanjali; Kaveri hides Maira's truth from Abhira

In tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Vidya senses something is wrong and asks Abhira what transpired. Before Abhira can speak, Kaveri reveals that Abhira must have seen Armaan with a woman and has now uncovered the truth.

Abhira, feeling devastated, expresses regret over chasing after Armaan. While Vidya refuses to accept that Armaan has moved on, Abhira cuts her off and urges her not to defend him anymore. She then drops the shocking truth that Armaan is planning to marry Geetanjali, who is none other than Maira's mother.

Kaveri silently realises that Abhira is still unaware that Maira and Pookie are the same person. Abhira blames herself for waiting so long for Armaan and feels utterly betrayed.

Meanwhile, Armaan is firm in his decision, and he believes that for Maira's happiness, he must marry Geetanjali. He feels it is his responsibility, especially since he allowed Geetanjali to return to Maira's life. He doesn't want to keep breaking promises and convinces himself that this is the right step forward.

Back at the house, Abhira tells Vidya and Kaveri that her concern for Armaan's well-being was misplaced. She now realises that Armaan has found what he always wanted, a loving daughter, and that Maira is now his everything. With her heart shattered, she asks Kaveri to stand by her side.

Armaan, preparing for his new future, understands that marrying Geetanjali means divorcing Abhira. He makes a quiet yet painful move by setting aside Abhira's photo. At the same time, Vidya decides she must confront Armaan and bring him back, but Abhira has made up her mind.

She tells Vidya that it's time to let go, as Armaan has clearly chosen his path with Geetanjali and Maira. Vidya tries to change her mind, but Abhira proceeds to sign the divorce papers, calling it the right decision under the circumstances.

Later, Armaan attempts to call Abhira, but she tells him it's too late now. She informs him that she's sending the signed papers. Armaan grows anxious, wondering if Abhira knows Maira's truth. Meanwhile, Dadu mentions that Maira hasn't been able to sleep. Geetanjali tries to comfort her while Armaan, hiding his pain, conceals Abhira's photo as Geetanjali enters the room.

Elsewhere, Vidya confides in Kaveri that Abhira's anger is what's driving her to seek a divorce and that she doesn't truly want to separate. Abhira then requests Anshuman to help her get Maira's address so she can send the documents. Vidya blames Kaveri for the rift between Armaan and Abhira, but Kaveri argues that they were never destined to be together. Despite everything, Vidya remains hopeful that their love story isn't over yet.

On the other hand, Tanya demands that Kiara be her bridesmaid. Kiara agrees but first asks Tanya to be certain of Krish's love. Tanya expresses her faith in Krish, but Kiara advises her to put his feelings to the test, just to be sure.

Later, Armaan opens up to Geetanjali and confesses that he's marrying her solely for Maira. He makes it clear that while he will fulfill his responsibilities, he can never be a good husband, as he's already loved once and cannot do it again. Geetanjali asks him to share more about his past, particularly about his ex-wife.

Meanwhile, Abhira's health deteriorates, and both Kaveri and Vidya urge her to take rest and not go to work. They take care of her lovingly, and Kaveri encourages her to focus on her own well-being and think about rebuilding her life.

In the precap, Armaan is stunned to receive the divorce papers from Abhira. Abhira states that Armaan is happy with Geetanjali and Maira and that their chapter is over. Vidya tries to reason with Abhira, saying Armaan will never sign the papers and adds that Abhira herself isn't ready to move on, she still wears the mangalsutra and sindoor that Armaan had given her.
